LI HAO THE HERO： China PR join Vietnam! ｜ Uzbekistan - China PR ｜ Highlights ｜ AFC U23 Asian Cup

The quarterfinals of the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup continue in Jeddah as Group D runners-up China PR take on Group C winners Uzbekistan in the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium with both teams yet to taste defeat in this year's competition. Only one team really starting on the front foot. Uzbekistan all in white, the second highest XG in this year's competition behind defending champions Japan and an early hurt off the top of the crossbar setting the tone for what was to come throughout the first 45. Uzbekistan piling on the pressure their next attack the long-range efforts this time Li Hao coming up with a superb save has been China PR's player of the competition so far. He will be called into action again not long later with one of the saves of the tournament a total of 16 made before kickoff more than any other goalkeeper in the competition definitely the pick of the bunch though Li Hao keeping China PR in this quarterfinal no goals at the break into the second half and more pressure from Uzbekistan 63rd minute again a shot from outside the box and again Li Hao with the save quite literally single-handedly keeping things level here slight deflection makes life even more difficult gets across early to make the stop and then a double save just before the end of the 90 plus stoppage time this time to deny Bahramov from the dead ball situation performing on the follow-up so into extra time we go Uzbekistan again the team looking to break the deadlock more shots from outside the box Bahramov unable to keep that effort down look like Li Hao might have had his angles covered anyway and to separate the two after 15 minutes of extra time so into the second half we go and again it's man Bahramov trying to find the back of the net those long range efforts but nil nil still the final score so into penalties and Uzbekistan missing their third China failing to score their fourth and then Uzbekistan with their fourth unable to find a way past an incredible Li Hao in goal leaving Wang Bohao with the opportunity to seal the deal and seal the deal he does China through to the semi-finals against all the odds Uzbekistan with all the chances unable to take them and punished for it at the end of an incredible contest missed opportunities come back to haunt Uzbekistan in the shootout while China PR joined Japan and Vietnam
