Rafael Nadal vs Dominic Thiem Brisbane 2024 Meeting | Condensed Match

that's not a bad start is it some really good tennis he wasn't able to do that's a very confident and assured that's some forehand big as nadal can hit that forehand 14 15 is also a good open service game from the austrian oh that is amazing looked as though he'd almost hesitated for a moment didn't he and it wasn't the smoothest of of moves forward just about stopped and then yeah it just flips that racket over at the last minute fool's team you can see they sent him the wrong way eight for eight on serve protecting throughout their career that's a beautiful touch just on him a little quicker than he could handle he's hitting the ball beautifully it needs to play so far back he was aware of that and the angles covered yeah head down charge 14 15 that was a couple of extraordinary shots 15 now he's pushed it long you know i think you getting wonder valerius that's splendid 15 now that's a great pattern points on serve that's made an impression hasn't it he hasn't lost those finishing touches has he what a point we trust him as much as anyone under those smashes but this still needs so much care how well does he play it we'll get a great view now just the attention he pays to that shot and well this certainly doesn't feel like a first round yeah it was a little bit of dispatch that with it all right here but what can you do about that the length from from nadal and just talked about flattening that backhand out he doesn't have a hop up the pace did half chance it's got him again so good first serve wasn't going to miss enough it's something certainly take a look used to both ends of the not going to miss that so far okay it's no secret but it is yeah one of his great skills is that he normally gets a grip on that very quick well it was certainly he recovers well humphreys a player with amazing return he gets it outstanding what a performance that was from rafael nadal
