Es un pueblo en el que sólo vive una señora y el enclave Natural me dejo impresionado ! ojalá estos sitios algún día tengan una segunda oportunidad con la tecnología que hoy en día tenemos ! gracias a todos por estar ahí ❤️
Today I'm heading to a village I discovered long ago while hiking a mountain trail and I
wanted to show it to you because even though it's quite in ruins I still think it's worth seeing
There's still an elderly woman living who I'm hoping to meet and perhaps she can tell us
something about the village I'm walking along an old path that is well just an old path
Beautiful as I always say but just look at the incredible work they had to do—just look
The route I'm on is truly beautiful so I'll do my best to get
there as soon as possible since I have to walk a long way to reach
This village and everything I've said— if you subscribe to the channel you'll really
help me out and if you follow me on social media you'll see things I usually don't post
o the YouTube channel and you'll help me a lot too so let's get
straight into it The first thing we encounter when arriving in town is this downhill slope well already
He was just showing a bit of the descent in the presentation but it's quite
Stunning from top to bottom and look at this magnificent stand of chestnut trees here
Their centenaries are immense truly enormous though I'm not sure they're fully appreciated
keep going down this way and you're going to be amazed by the first little corner you come to
we are now in the area of the mill where grinding used to take place
Of the grains grown in this area corn is the main one and that
tradition still persists I imagine it will continue to be maintained
e person who lives in this village this bridge here
That idyllic spot over there—look at the little
waterfall here and well the mill's completely ruined
He's completely shattered utterly broken because a chestnut fell right on him
We'll get as close as possible to him but look—he's fallen right on top of it
brown and already crushed but still there was good work there you see that beam
That was where all the mill's machinery was located let's get closer to
see if we can spot anything but I doubt it—it looks pretty badly damaged
Good look here—the stairs still lead up to the mill and there'
s no tool left but as you can see the access door must be there
The original mill remains standing here still
Good this chestnut has burst open completely—I'll show you another little one
what's here I've seen it's beautiful—well the place is idyllic covered
in moss honestly this place is incredible especially when there's a
a little more water we'll go across the bridge—I
think it's sturdy solid look at that little waterfall there
Here because the stones are extremely slippery from the moss growing on them
The water is completely clear flowing down from the mountain here to the
mill where they carried out the necessary work to grind all kinds of grain
The cereal they brought I imagine it was just what this village had
since it's quite isolated and I don't think they came from anywhere else
villages to do grinding I think the locals around here would use it
well if we keep going down this path we'd be entering the village
Someone mentioned that an elderly woman lives here—I'm not sure if we'll
be able to speak with her as she doesn't seem interested in seeing me anyway
but anyway I'd love to talk to her if you can find her and if not then never mind
Alright I'm going to show you the village so you can see what it was like but take a look still
The old path leading here from the village is still noticeable even though
only this lady lives here and the place has been abandoned for many many years
I think it had a chapel and we'll do our best to locate it—they told me it
was right in the middle of town the first thing we saw when we arrived here
This place is either a birdhouse or to me it looks more like a birdhouse than a dwelling still
back in the day people used to live both above and below so it’s not entirely out of the question
Check what kind of air condition is available because honestly it's not very clear to me
what the actual condition is if in the end this could be used since it fits down below and
ousing above or directly a loft above a barn above which is called here
in Asturias and below well the courtyard—now there's only this one left
We're standing upright so we'll continue on then go down here but let's take
this path over here to avoid skipping anything and having to come back later
go back up and I'll show you the upper part of the town so to spea
In this area here there used to be a small alley or street leading to
some houses located to the right—today it's quite windy I don't know
The audio will come through like this but I hope you can hear me clearly enough here
Yes I'm pretty sure that's the chapel we'll see it from below soon but definitely
without a doubt that's the chapel and now we're going to access it right here
See the houses that were here—there was a house on this side
you can already see it's completely in ruins now—there you can still
make out the fireplace and up above we'll try to go around back to see if—
We can see something—look at this woman who lives here those two
Asturcones are a traditional horse breed from here native to this region
Asturias are called Asturcones they are considerably smaller than
a regular horse and are as black as jet making them truly beautiful
There was another house there too and here another one though they were small cottages not very large
Here an old one was repurposed for water
channeling as it is used for smoke exhaust outlets
cooking in the idyllic setting trying to access from here
Just a little bit if I'm capable look at the Asturcones how beautiful they are
—here's one of the houses probably using it now as a stable I'm right here yes
I'm not going to enter any of them since I haven't managed to meet the only
woman who lives here and besides I don't want to get involved in anything
You know I'm quite respectful about this so I already have them saved
But anyway you can still make out where the vegetable gardens were
the house the one with just the chimney standing is right over there
I'm coming this way to avoid disturbing the Asturian but
we won't see much—this house is completely in ruins
I know that almost all the houses are in pretty bad shape
Look how lovely they are—this horse is much smaller than usual
check this out there was probably also a much smaller one
Another house and the one above and
below a block away don't seem nervous
And that handsome guy but still I don't want to get too close to them
so nothing and everything in that house is also almost completely destroyed and barely
a thing remains—let’s just say you can get an idea of how many people were in this place
A short stretch of this dwelling here and the previous one we've seen in
ruins—this which I believe was once a block this house and the one next to it—
Here so I'll just go back the way I came and show you the chapel area
which looks quite nice—this section also has what looks like a small square
Central if you're up for it I'll walk over there and record you when
I arrive just so you're up to speed we've come from this area here
Here we've seen and well that's the house of the woman which is quite
large yes it's quite large with a carpentry workshop and a lot of space
it's all marked there beautifully and this would have been the
chapel—see the arch there and likely the altar was positioned above it
bell tower that's good it's come down but anyway let's get in let's
go down the way I mentioned earlier and let's check out the sectio
e lowest house in this village just a bit closer since the one next
to it belongs to a lady who well most of them are also located there
What we'll be able to see inside the houses here is limited so we'll focus on
this area which was likely a central plaza as you can see
Much better when we go up to see the church—I’ll do the
entire tour so you can get a clear idea of what it was like
The town is a bit of a maze but it's very beautiful—seems like the houses were
built according to the land and wherever they could manage to construct them
This is where were before and here we make the turn and come across the first
house which is in ruins—must have been a fairly large house I don't know
You can probably tell from over there just how quite large it was
as these little things here for the animals probably to keep them from
coming down and seeing how beautiful the entrance to this house still is
Here nestled among the vegetation with the courtyards right in front of
you those little walls—truly it's beautiful if you can appreciate it all
but extremely beautiful since this house is the only one left in good condition
here in the village—this woman has installed solar panels and right here—
Obviously the electricity isn't coming through
It also has a schedule that maintains the household's routine
And here we can't get in because it's in pretty bad shape— you can already
see how it is I'm going to end up completely frustrated and well it's not the
Today's plan honestly let's see if we can get in here to check out
the church or rather the chapel since it was originally just a chapel
And at the same time everything is clearly marked in the woodshed and carpentry area
And here well this led to the church chapel as you'd like to
call it—a chapel—and looking inside it's still preserved to this day
Good take a look here—you can see the typical small walls at the
entrance of these chapels and here you can still see what was likely the
base of the table featuring a typical carving from Asturias
Here is where the large tile for the altar would go and that's why
it has these marks today only this remains—nothing else is left
Absolutely nothing in fact this was covered up—I think it was
also just a window or an entrance really so nothing much remains
We're going to head out this way and I'll show you what I was
talking about—this looks like a square and this would be farmland
so it was likely a central square where townspeople
would gather as can be seen from the floor
That's how with stone tiles there's here a kind of little wall that
might benches or that's what I imagine—don't read too much into it
and now I'd like a fire—that's what I want to picture in my mind—
well this village wasn't exactly huge either but as you can see it had
Her chapel her houses over there another one here and the one she's currently occupying
—madam and now we'll head out of town this way and I'll show you the route another one—
e path that has an exit and I'll make that part of it to see
if we can find anything wrong if not I'll just wrap up the video
old car wheels and how handsome how handsome indeed
And if we wanted to leave the village by this path or the other one we have
to keep in mind there are two streams—one here and another one over there
The area we come from high up in the village has two bridges made
of wood and while that's fine it can become a problem during floods
and the river is flowing quite strongly so this is going to get pretty rough
and it'll be surrounded on both sides completely enclosed on either side
There's not much water flow in the rivers right now because it's not raining heavily
Here in Asturias but just look at the idyllic postcards this place offers—the water is
crystal clear completely transparent and you can't quite capture that in a photo as already
I can see it but it's crystal clear—nothing's familiar I'm going
to end the video here it pains me deeply that I couldn't find
o the lady so she could tell us a bit more about this village
that surely had so much to share but things didn’t go as planned
If you want then well at least I’ve been able to show you the village—just
as I told you it’s quite isolated In fact I’m going to take a quick nap
a pretty significant walk back to the car and I'll keep going now because I
don't want to be late again as usual—thanks for following along on the channel
and if you subscribe to me you'll help me tremendously—you'll help the channel grow
and YouTube will also notify you whenever I upload a new video I'm leaving you the
social media here if you'd like to see some slightly different
stuff and stay a bit more updated on things I don't post on YouTube
From the bottom of my heart thank you for choosing to watch my videos and dedicating
that time to me and for leaving the comments you regularly share which truly reach me
Some of them really hit close to home and I’m not letting go
of any of them just yet—so as I said see you in the next video
