Operation Honey Pot: Paste this emoji 🍯 in your comment below. The U.S. is ramping up its fight against the Chinese Communist Party—but Europe and Canada are furious about it. As Western elites blame America and flirt with Beijing, China is quietly driving a wedge between allies. Why are U.S. partners turning on Washington while siding with the CCP?
The US is ramping up its defense of the free world against China.
And Europeans hate it.
Welcome to China Uncensored, I'm Chris Chappell.
The US is fighting a cold war against China, though given how much things have heated up
at this point, I'm comfortable calling it a room temperature war.
The US isn't giving up on countering the CCP like what some media outlets would have
you believe.
It's getting the ball rolling.
But there's a teeny tiny, so small it's probably not even worth mentioning problem.
The Transatlantic Alliance is on the brink of collapse.
Europeans and Canadians, along with many Western think tanks and media outlets, are absolutely
livid with the US.
They're basically treating not Russia and China as the biggest threat to the world,
but the US.
Now, to be fair, Trump is, well, Trump.
He's hit Europe with tariffs, once Greenland, and is claiming Canada as the 51st state.
People are now saying that the rules-based international order as we know it ruptured.
Which is silly, because as I've been saying, it's already dead, thanks to China and Russia.
But Western elites are insistent on blaming the US and Trump.
They say Trump's dismantling the existing world order, destroying alliances, and siding
with the forces of tyranny.
Which would be a heck of a burn if they weren't planning on siding with China.
The conventional wisdom that Western elites are pushing is that the US is unreliable,
destabilizing even.
And this is playing right into the CCP's hands.
There's been big talk about European independence.
Europe is trying to gain independence from America?
What is this, a reverse July 4th?
Is that why they write the dates as 4-7?
So what solution are they pushing?
Well, among many things, rely more on China!
That non-problematic, totally reliable utopia that's definitely not run by an authoritarian.
China is welcome, but what we need is more Chinese foreign direct investment in Europe.
Yes, because as history has shown, Chinese investment is totally great for the country
in question, and totally is transforming China into a democracy.
Any day now.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, meanwhile, is telling the world that it needs to stand
up to bullies.
And by bullies, he's alluding to Trump and the US, not China.
How are those Canadian fentanyl super labs doing?
Carney wants to work with China to create a new world order.
I believe the progress that we have made in the partnership sets us up well for the new
world order.
Conspiracy theorists are right once again.
This has me very worried about their predictions for August.
But here's the thing we need to keep in mind.
Trump is not pushing allies to China.
Trump is reacting to US allies that are already dead set on getting close with China and promoting
policies that go against US and even their own interests.
Just look at Europe's battery market.
So many European companies, some of which help Europe's militaries, have offshore manufacturing
and foreign partnerships in China.
This has enabled China to get the technical know-how for producing batteries, which it
then uses to flood the world's markets with cheap Chinese batteries, which are now
wrecking both the European battery market and EV market.
All while making European corporations ever more dependent on Chinese companies to make
batteries.
US officials like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick took note of how stupid this is.
Why would Europe agree to be net zero in 2030 when they don't make a battery?
They don't make a battery.
So if they go 2030, they are deciding to be subservient to China who makes the batteries.
Why would you do that?
I don't know why China's so obsessed with taking over Taiwan when they could just take
over Europe.
The only fight they'd put up is arguing which nation gets to roll out the communist red
carpet first.
There are tons of ways Europe has helped the CCP.
Aside from opening itself to cheap Chinese crap, there's Europe's dependence on China
for chemicals and drugs, European money spent on Russian fuel, and then there's Europe
making strategically stupid decisions like the UK giving up Diego Garcia in the Chagos
Islands, where the US has its only military base in the Indian Ocean.
Trump is not too happy.
Oh yeah, and then there's the fact that Europe's not spending nearly as much as
it should on its military defense, even after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
All those resources the US could spend on countering China is instead put into defending
Europe.
The only reason European defense spending has gotten as high as it is now is because
of Trump.
And that's not me saying it, that's the NATO chief saying it.
And here's my question to the audience.
I mean, many of you I know criticize Donald Trump.
But do you really think that without Donald Trump, eight big economies in Europe, including
Spain and Italy and Belgium, Canada, by the way, also outside Europe, would have come
to 2% in 2025, when they were only on 1.5% at the beginning of the year?
No way.
Without Donald Trump, this would never have happened.
So it is only logical for them to expect us in Europe to step up over time.
So all this talk about Trump pushing Europe to China is nonsense.
Europe is simply using Trump as an excuse to get close with China, which they were already
doing, and avoid taking the necessary steps to actually confront it and its friend Russia.
Had Trump not come into office, European countries would have slid towards China's orbit, and
the US would have joined them.
China, of course, loves it when the US and Europe are both angry at each other.
In fact, it's actively working to keep that going.
CNN got it wrong when it said, China doesn't need to go out of its way to chase gains in
the global balance of power.
It simply needs to stay its course while the US loses allies and credibility all on its
own.
I know, CNN missing the mark is about as shocking as Helen Keller losing in a game of darts.
That's not how China works.
China doesn't merely wait things out.
It actively lays the groundwork to pit allies against each other, such as by making countries
really dependent on China.
Of course, China has been expanding influence in the US as well.
But at least the US is finally wising up to it.
Though from my perspective, it should have done that a lot sooner, but better late than
never, I guess.
It only took four decades of screaming red flags to wake them up.
Unfortunately, Europe hasn't.
Or at least not seriously.
China made it so that Trump has to attack allies because of how badly China-captured
the allies are.
And Europe's response?
Get more China-captured.
And so now you have the CCP pushing narratives like the idea that China's a stabilizing
force.
And a partner for opposing bullies.
Yeah, China's not a bully.
Just ask the Uyghurs.
Or Taiwan.
Unfortunately, it's working.
To my European viewers, how does it feel living under leaders who are more easily manipulated
than I show speed?
According to a Gallup survey, NATO allies on average are now favoring China over the
US.
Keep in mind, that survey took place from March to October 2025, before the US's attack
on Venezuela.
The fact that many Europeans are choosing to draw closer to China rather than some other
non-authoritarian country like Taiwan or Japan says a lot about how messed up people's morality
can be.
This is like saying, I hate Winston Churchill, so I'm going to side with he who shall not
be named on YouTube with his funny Austrian mustache.
Things may not have spiraled out of control between the US and its Western allies to this
extent had they not let themselves become so dependent and vulnerable to China.
Getting rid of Chinese influence may not solve every single issue between the US and its
allies, but at least it would have made their relationship more manageable.
If only people thought of that decades ago.
Then maybe this war would still be cold, and not room temperature bordering on slightly
warm.
I'm Chris Chappell.
Thanks for watching.
