a cosy vlog in the australian countryside

Come the stars come to shine when it's dark from so far What makes the Sun go to sleep So cute. What's it dreaming? If I could have a dog, I wish it was Winston No, hi You're so gorgeous, oh, okay. Okay. How come the sky is sometimes high behind the clouds? Maybe it's just like me a little bit scared of heights Why does the pain always keep on pouring down when it's gray outside It makes me wonder Yeah, it makes me wonder What wonder is it gets untrusted when it's cold And don't they miss the leaves they left behind Could it be to make the ground shine like gold until winter comes? Until winter comes until winter come it really makes me a little sick this way So I've been waking up feeling not refreshed at all This is how I feel right now After a full night of sleep Come the stars come to shine when it's dark So far away show us where we are. It really makes me wonder Just wonder Good morning. I hope everyone has had a really lovely week I've actually been a little bit under the weather. I think everything just kind of caught up with us with moving back home and all of the travel and the jet lag and Jesse actually got sick on the plane and then my His nephew has also been really sick. So I also think maybe like the change in the weather It's been so hot and humid and muggy here So I think everything has just caught up with us and haven't really been feeling too well this week So feeling a bit better now, so it's nice to kind of get out and get out into some nature So we're gonna head out to the countryside today because we just love it out here We're heading to our favorite pub in a little country town. They have the most amazing Menu, it's all locally sourced and they have just really lovely like kind of small plates more tapas style But the food is so good and the whole venue itself I think actually it burnt down or something like that a few years ago and rebuilt it and the way they renovated it is very Very homey very country esque. It's really really lovely So I'm excited to head there and get some food and then we might follow it up with a little countryside walk depending on how Hot it is because yeah, it's been really just crazy crazy hot. I just cannot wait for winter And yeah Also another reason we want to head out into the countryside is because we're actually looking for a place hopefully sort of out this way Where we live in Australia, it's it's great because you've got the beach and the countryside and they're literally like 20-30 minutes away So even though I say the countryside, it's really it's not like rural or remote Australia because that is a very very far away Australia is a massive company country and the majority of our population will live on the coast Which just means that the coastal towns are just crazy busy and we just wanted a little bit quieter So we're thinking of heading 20 to 30 minutes inland in one of the little country towns Instead and we're really just not that far away But it's just a little bit more peaceful so we're just gonna have a little drive around and have a look at some areas that we might like and Some of the real cute like heritage kind of houses that they've got out here. So that's our plan for today So I think our first stop is going to be the little country town that we're going to go visit and then we'll just sort of see How the day unfolds Signs in the star, but it's been right in front of me this whole time See the light Count to ten Then open up as a sign Put me down And send me off Words of a lullaby Send me off The words of a lullaby If I never see the light I wouldn't care Cause I'm so perfect If I never see the light Cause I'm so perfect Count to ten Then open up my eyes If you're gone I'll take it as a sign Send me Words of a lullaby If I never see the light Count to ten Big fan of the green It's like a sage A soft green, it's very pretty I absolutely love this chair It's so pretty Guess what I found At an op shop A sewing machine Can you believe I picked this up for $50 I'm so excited They did tell me that Everything works But if I'm using it and something is a little bit off I can return it And get all my money back Which is awesome I've never used a sewing machine before I have no idea how to use it I'm definitely going to have to be YouTubing I really wanted to make my own Tea towels to begin with Eventually make my own pillowcases I'm just thinking that is absolutely perfect Like a little entry level Sewing machine After I went to the op shop I went down to the fabric store And picked up some fabric It's this little wattle leaf Pattern On like a natural linen It is absolutely lovely So I'm going to use this As my First sort of Tester I guess I also do have some other linen But I'm just not sure if it's thick enough I would have really loved to have just bought some Normal natural coloured linen With no pattern on it But they didn't have any in stock So I guess we'll start with this And then I can always go back and get some more But yeah I'm so excited I will hopefully Be able to show you guys next week If I've made them And I'll show you the result then But yeah I'm so excited to do this Because yeah I've mentioned before The reason I started embroidery Was because I wanted to make my own tea towels And sort of embroider my own little patterns On them and things like that And yeah it's just I'm really really excited I think it's going to be so much fun Yeah so that was my win of the week I couldn't believe it I went to probably like 4 or 5 op shops I started to lose hope And then I found that one And I just thought wow what a bargain $50 for a brother sewing machine I was like that is awesome I think I'm going to end this vlog here It has been a pretty big week To be honest We really enjoyed our day out at the countryside And just sort of looking around at the little villages And stuff They're pretty quiet They're nothing like the English countryside Even though it's like 20-30 minutes out from the main towns It's yeah It's pretty quiet You've only got a couple of different cafes A couple of small grocers And food places like that But it is absolutely beautiful We have been to inspect one place But it wasn't really for us And we are going to go and inspect A couple of other places I think we've got 3 more inspections next week But we're kind of taking our time with it We are in a very fortunate position That we don't need to rush into anything And what we're looking for is quite specific It's giving us a great opportunity To really just sort of wait for the right thing to come up Honestly There was a place that came up when we were still in England And it was beautiful It was absolutely perfect But we just weren't in a position to be applying right now At that time because we were still in England We weren't even back from our trip yet It just didn't make sense So we missed out on it And then we actually drove by And had a look at it the other day And we just really kicked ourselves for it Because it's just perfect It's everything that we were looking for Location, the land, the type of house Everything But hey, we're just crossing our fingers That something similar turns up I'm positive that it will I'm really holding onto that hope Because there's not a lot of stuff That comes on the market And especially not in the areas that we're looking for And the type of house that we're looking for as well So fingers crossed Something comes up But let me know if you would like me to bring you along For a couple of those inspections I think I might leave this vlog here Thank you so much for spending the time with me As always, hope you have a wonderful week And I will see you guys next week
