ZINGAS / KOLESNIK (USA) | Ice Dance Free Dance | Four Continents Championships | Beijing 2026

The leaders onto the ice now. Handy margin. Not sure if they're going to need it. They are in super form. Emilia Zingas and Vadim Kolesnik. Runners-up in US Nationals this year. Never on the podium in these championships. It's going to change this year for sure. Just brilliant. Just breathtaking. Wasn't that amazing? I'd love to watch that again, to be honest. I could watch them skate all day long. They have taken their skating to a completely different level this season. Emilia Zingas, Vadim Kolesnik. Fantastic stuff. There's our leaders. But they won't be leaders for long, that's for sure. They have done it again. And they've done it in emphatic style in the free dance. Just brilliant. Emilia and Vadim could not have skated that program any better. And I was just looking down. Igor Spielband, who coached them in Novi in Michigan. He was almost out on the boards there at some points during that program. I'm sure he's going to be thrilled with that. I think he said that was the best one. It was very, very good indeed. Well, we'll find out whether the judges thought it was the best one. I mean, if they get close to their personal best, you couldn't see a glitch anywhere. I don't know about you. It's magnificent. Loved in the diagonal step. It was like a little throwaway lift in there with one arm. Oh, there it is. So many intricate moves within the program. And they made it look so easy. But to be honest with you, it's probably one of the hardest programs that we've seen. And it takes hours and hours out there on the ice to perfect a program like that. And they really are reaping the rewards of all the hours that they put on out there on the ice. Vadim, originally from Kyiv in Ukraine. Got citizenship in, well, last summer. And next month, yeah. Yeah, it's a huge score. 122.89. That is a new personal best for Emily Zingas and Vadim Kolesnik for USA. There they are, the champions. First champions of the 2026 Four Continents Championships. Really super stuff. It's the third time they've competed at the Four Continents. First time for them on the podium. And great to see Carolina and Michael leading the applause there. Well deserved. Really, really super. And well done to Igor Spielband.
