What does it mean now to put yourself in a position to potentially end your career
on your terms in Cortina of all places?
It would be such a poetic ending that it's kind of hard to even believe that it could be real.
When I competed in my last World Cup in Cortina, it was the 2019 season, my last season,
I did horrible.
I thought, how disappointing.
You know, how disappointing that this beautiful mountain
that has been so meaningful in my life, this is the way I ended.
And so I have one more chance.
I have one more chance.
I'm in such a better place.
I want this to be the ending that I choose.
And maybe I'm asking too much, but I do believe that certain things are meant to be.
And there's a certain level of fate that comes into play in life.
And I don't think it's an accident that I'm here and Cortina will be my final race.
When you close your eyes and visualize your final Olympics, what does success look like to you?
I try not to do that.
You know, I try to focus on how I'm going to ski.
I visualize the course over and over and over.
And it's impossible not to think of how it would feel to cross the finish line
and be in a similar place that I was in Vancouver
or at the World Cup finals in Sun Valley last year.
I think I'm capable of really doing well in these games.
And I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't think that.
