I've been told I talk too much so today I'm gonna let the food do the talking other than to explain
that this is a dog food recipe. With these simple healthy ingredients my dog has seen
vast health improvements, weight loss, and just overall better quality of life. If you have any
questions while watching this video comment below and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
People want to know why I cook the vegetables. Because they get softer and it's easier for the
dog to eat so I cut them small so they cook faster and they're easier to mash.
One pound bag of rice. Brown rice. I add one bag of water.
Make a mess every time. Carrots.
One bag of spinach. One bag of green beans.
In my past videos I used to put the meat in on top but I found that if I do the meat separately
and I don't overfill it, it actually cooks better and it's easier to manage.
So that's the only difference from my past videos. Take your pot,
drop it into the instant pot, lock it down, pressure cook for 20 minutes.
So in my past videos I used a five gallon pail but recently we started using this big bowl right here
and it's more than big enough to mix everything together. As you can see that's the vegetables.
We just flip it over like this.
There we go. Now like I said the potatoes are indescribable. All right so this will all get
broken up but for now we're gonna set it aside and let it cool. Into this bowl, six pounds of
ground turkey. A cup of water just to keep it from sticking to the bottom. Back into the instant pot.
Another 20 minutes. Nice and smashed. When the time is done and I let it cool for a little bit,
I break it up in the pot. So now we're all broken up a little bit. It's still
hot. Now it's easy to scoop into all the rest of the ingredients. All right so I scoop it out of
the water and then just mix it together. Now is a good time to add about a quarter cup of
sunflower oil. A can of pumpkin puree. Make sure it's puree and not pumpkin pie. No sugar,
no additives. A couple of eggs shelling off the calcium and the fat and the protein.
All right and a little bit of turmeric where it's debatable whether or not it has any
health benefits or not but it doesn't hurt to add it. So we do and it doesn't have to be that much.
And we mix. And then I just fill up these Tupperwares. Each one is about three days
giving me about 12 days of food before we have to make more. So here you go. Once it's all packed
up I leave one in the refrigerator for about three days worth of feeding. We freeze the rest
to frost it as needed. So for as little as $40 a week. Are you hungry? And here's one of the
other things that makes cleanup easy. Come here baby. For a little over an hour's worth of effort
and minimum cost a week your dog is going to appreciate it. If you have any questions
comment below and I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks for watching and we'll see you in the next
video.
