Osaka Bluteon 🇯🇵 vs. Cignal HD Spikers 🇵🇭 - AVC Champions League 2025 | Highlights - Pool Play

Retamar to get us underway. Larry, 24-year-old, he's gonna serve first for Bluton. Decent pass in. Blocked touch. Gets the applause of the crowd and off bank. What a swing that is. The more they do it, the more they get used to it, the more chance they've got when it comes to the World Championship. These are all important learnings. Retamar, great swing. Malabunga, more of that please. Hiro, from the net, safe, but it's nice and clean into the middle. We get Lopez. Watch out, what a good first touch. Ramirez picks it up off the toe, swing from Deke, well scrambled. Good defense, but off Nishida. Welcome to the game, from Yuji Nishida. That's just too good, it's too efficient. 10-3. Saka Bluton making light work of this so far. Where's that drop? It's dropped in, big block. The Japanese League back in 2023. Drops that serve, good pass in, chance to side out, but another block. Rumandao just on the court, from Yuji Nishida. Good service run now. Lorenzo, the Libro stepping in at setter, great scramble. Retamar. Oh, defense from Bluton. Oh, that's got a touch. Lopez in at setter, but the defense has paid off here for Spikers. Oh, brilliant scramble. Bluton not giving their opponent anything, but what a rally. The cover. Can Bluton put a swing on it? Yes, they can, but the block touch is good. This much more like it from Spikers. Oh, but they can't find the floor. What a way to finish it. Yuji Nishida paints the corner. On the service line. Pipe attack, that's a beauty. Marcus Bejo. Here is the setter. Lopez with the pass, put the block on it, and the rally ensues again. Bub set over, and a monster block. Malabunga. What a play. Right on the net, and an opportunity to unload. That's overpassed, and this should be put away. It is. It is the opening set to Osaka. Bluton, this is now, it is the second set. It is Bluton serving first. It's a good ball into the setter, Retamar, and what a start. Retamar, Larry with the first touch. Lopez, cross-court, and we head to Brooklyn. 9-9. 12-11. Good hang time, but the block touch, the backcourt swing, and Lopez gives Bluton a break point. To just switch off and start to feel sorry for yourselves, but they haven't done that. Back to 14-14. Oh, that is enormous from Larry. A double gun flex from Ramirez. Yes, please. Eugene Nishida. 17-15. Bluton looking to take this one home. Retamar to the middle, and Lloyd Josaphat. Oh, Eugene Nishida. Retamar. Another chance here. Taken. Zipped down the line. Luis Ramirez. Filipino Champions League in 2024. Miguel. This has been a much better contest, hasn't it? Signal HD Spikers showing us a bit more what they're all about. Oh, Yamamoto. Nishida finishes it, and finishes it with style, but Yamamoto with another impossible save. Overpass put down by Larry. He's really tired body. Third set underway. Hiro with his first touch. Lopez with his first touch. Plenty on that as well. Rotta offers up the free ball. Lopez. Cross court swing. Nice dig by Lorenzo. Breakdown in communication will cost you the point. Bluton, 7-6 up. Rotta into the block. Oh, what a block. What a block. Yamauchi back for beauty. 17-10. Oh, 18-10. 18-10. They needed that. 18-11. Back over the head by Nishida. Plenty of space for Marques Bejo to exploit. Yamamoto with the first touch. Plenty of pressure coming from that block. Nishida, again into the hands. Hiro. Back court to Lopez who gets blocked. Yamamoto's there to sweep it up. Oh, down the line. Brilliant. And the block kills it. No blocker in place. Oh, an open back court for Isbejo. Well, the service goes long, and with that Osaka Bluton get their ABC Champions League campaign off to winning ways. Believes him. Oh, and the ball's out. The opening game for both of these teams, but Angelino Figoni, he's got a smile on his face. He embraces his opposite, Lavon Tilly.
