Hi guys, it's Lindsay and welcome or welcome back to my channel for some more spring outfit inspo
that is realistic using what's in my closet and what I'm going to be wearing for the upcoming
weeks and months into the summer. I already posted one spring styling video but there were trench
coats, more pants and jeans because it was colder and now my rack is looking a lot more true to
spring. I have a lot of shorts, blouses, dresses and polka dots because polka dots are super in
right now but they've honestly always been one of my favorite motifs when it comes to shopping.
I've always gravitated towards polka dots so I thought this would be a great opportunity to
really lean in. Starting with my ideal outfit for a warmer spring day, this is a really breezy
paper bag style dress with big pockets. I just love a really oversized billowy dress that is
short because you can still see your legs so it doesn't feel like you're being swallowed up in
too much fabric and then I am wearing my fisherman sandals from Madewell that I got last spring
and I still absolutely love these. They have a pretty good amount of wear and they still feel
amazing. I love that you can see like a pop of your toenail polish if you're wearing fisherman
sandals and the brown on these coordinates really well with my basket. Another one of my favorite
silhouettes for spring is a full skirt. There is just something so romantic and free about a big
skirt and I typically like to pair them with a tighter top or even just a t-shirt or a tank top.
It can be a super casual outfit and include a skirt. I want to normalize the wearing of skirts.
They can be comfortable. They don't have to be, you know, dressy. They're actually more comfortable
than wearing pants. This skirt is from Lisa Says Gaw and it has a really nice kind of like eyelet
pattern to it and then my shirt is vintage. It is the most recent addition to my tiny white
fluffy shirt collection which is growing quite large but I love them and I wear them. I also
think that you can wear this kind of blouse with jeans, with shorts, and you just automatically
look so effortless and so cool but I also thought I would try on this top with a silk slip because
I've never tried that before and in my mind it came out cute so we'll see if it is cute.
My intuition was correct. I actually love these together. I think this skirt is meant to be more
like low rise but I'm not really someone that likes to have my tummy out so I'm wearing it
kind of like mid or high and I feel like it works. You could obviously do like a longer flowier blouse
on top with this and I think it would work too. Let me see what I've got. This one just has a lot
more frill and volume but because the skirt is a slip, it's really slinky, I feel like it still
works together but I probably wouldn't pair this top with the last skirt that we had on because
it had a lot of volume. I wore pretty much this exact same outfit to a baby shower recently just
with a floral skirt and it was a hit. Now for some more polka dots. This is a vintage skirt I got
last year at my friend's vintage store and I've honestly really only worn it the day that I got
it and then a couple weeks ago and this is how I styled it just with like an off the shoulder
black top and some flats. This time though I put on my red flats because I just feel like it makes
it feel a lot more fun. I just love a full skirt with a mid-length tank top. If you have a skirt
that starts way too high, you can always just take your tank top or your t-shirt and kind of pretend
that the skirt starts lower because I just feel like that is a little bit more flattering and
more proportionate on me personally. I still have pieces that are high-waisted but this is how I like
make use of them more often. Now for a quick intermission to talk about tank tops because
in the spring and summer, especially summer, a tank top is my best friend with jeans, with shorts,
with skirts, so much so that I made a video last year trying to find my favorite tank top and
most of those were racerback and honestly I feel like every year what I want in a tank top changes
slightly. So this is the tank top of 2025 summer and spring. It is from Buck Mason. I have two of
them right here and it is just the perfect cotton everyday tank top so I had to put you guys on.
It's really high quality and what I love the most is that it's actually bra friendly. I am wearing
a bra with this white tank top right now and you genuinely can't see it which is very rare. I have
tried so many white tank tops over the years and I've just accepted that they're never going to be
thick enough for me to feel comfortable without a bra so instead I just decided to find a tank top
that I can wear with a bra that is comfortable and that you wouldn't really even be able to tell I
had a bra on with and that is this tank top and the straps also have little hooks to hide your bra
straps so they stay connected and your bra straps won't stick out during the day which is seriously
genius. I really appreciate this kind of design detail so I thought I would mention it before we
get into the depths of summer when it's really hot and we all desperately need a new tank top
and I feel like this is how I wear my tank tops most often if I am going to style them just with
a button-up, any jeans or jean shorts, ballet flats, and a basket bag. If you told me that I
loved ballet flats just like three, four years ago I would not believe you but that day has come. I
love my ballet flats. Now for a couple dresses. This dress is from Love Shock Fancy and I absolutely
love it. I feel like this brand typically makes a lot of really pink and floral items but I got so
lucky with finding this one. I got it on the real real. It has pockets, it's double lined, it's like
super well made and I feel like I found a unicorn with this dress. This dress is a vintage slip and
it is kind of blending into the background right now. I look like I'm wearing a sheet but there's
something cool about that to me especially if you throw on like a denim jacket or a chore coat.
This is my boyfriend's Stussy kind of like chore coat, barn coat. You can let me know if you see
the vision with this one but I got a lot of wear out of this slip dress last year and so I
absolutely plan on wearing it again. It's just very lightweight and easy to style when it's
super hot out. It's also pretty sheer so I like having something to cover my butt when I wear it.
This dress is from Rouge and they are a French brand that makes some of the most chic timeless
pieces. I got sent this a few years ago but I have never worn it out of the house so I wanted to
include it in this video as a reminder that I have it and to wear it because it just feels like it
needs an occasion and I haven't had an occasion but maybe I should just wear this like out to
dinner tonight even if we're going to like Chipotle. Sometimes you just need to shop your own closet
instead of immediately trying to go out and find those new trends. You might already have things
that are similar in your closet or at least if you're me because I have a lot of clothes.
