It's only the end of January and I feel like there's just so many new watches to talk about
already. It's pretty awesome, partially because of LVMH Watch Week,
but also partially just brands releasing watches outside of the Watches and Wonders kind of cycle.
So in this video what we're going to do is talk about the best new watch releases right now.
All right, so why don't we start with something a little bit off the cuff. Let's start here. This
is the Tiffany & Co. Tiffany Timer that's celebrating the 160th anniversary of the
brand's first chronograph. So this model is a 60-piece limited edition that celebrates the
160th anniversary of the brand's very first stopwatch. And it's actually powered by a
legendary movement, so it's a customized version of the Zenith's El Primero chronograph movement.
So this model comes in at 40 millimeters in diameter, it comes in full platinum,
and it actually has a faceted crown inspired by the Tiffany setting. It's water resistant to 100
meters. The dial is in this beautiful Tiffany blue color. And remember the Tiffany blue hype?
Remember that was such a massive deal that even the Tissot PRXs were producing things in almost
Tiffany blue. It was wild. It seemed to have settled down a bit now, to be fair. But this
color is just stunning and it kind of works with anything. I mean, I'm not normally one for leather
straps, but the way that this leather strap plays against that Tiffany blue dial, it's nice.
On the back of this model, interestingly, you can see an oscillating weight, which most watches have,
yes, but there's a hand sculpted 18 karat gold bird on a rock motif on that rotor or on that
oscillating weight. And it looks really nice. It's a really subtle detail. It's something that's
cool. The price in US dollars is £55,000, which is expensive. Oh, something else to bear in mind,
by the way, I've totally forgot to say is when you look at the hour markers on this watch,
they're actually in diamonds, in radiant cut diamonds. Again, wild. Zenith is a brand that
definitely should get more credit in the industry. When it comes to the giants in the industry in
terms of movements and technical innovations, Zenith are definitely up there. I mean, it's
with Bregi. Bregi is above them, obviously, but Zenith are definitely up there and they don't
get enough credit for that. And at LVMH Watch Week, they actually did a deep dive on their
Skyline collection. So let's just take a little bit of a look at that at the moment. So firstly,
we have a brand new Zenith Defy Skyline chronograph in all black. The case and the integrated brace
that are made entirely from ceramic. But what you have here is that kind of brushed ceramic
material. Now, when things are glossy, when they're ceramic, I'm not a fan. It just doesn't
feel as good to me. But when things are done in the right way under ceramic, a bit like the Amiga
Moonwatch that we touched on a while ago, the gray side of the moon, I think it can look really,
really good. And actually, this does look good. It does not look cheap at all. And on that note,
it isn't cheap at all. It comes in at $22,600. And then we get to this, a brand new Zenith Defy
Skyline Skeleton. This has been introduced with a black ceramic case with a matching integrated
bracelet and a gold toned skeletonized movement. And that movement, of course, you can see into
because it's skeletonized, which I absolutely adore. When I first got into watches, I've told
this story a hundred times, so I do apologize. But my first watch was an Aorus Artelier Skeleton
Watch. And the reason I wanted that for my first watch is because you could see into the movement.
You could see the mechanics, the beating heart of your watch. And that's awesome. That's really
cool. And that's a watch enthusiast thing right there. Inside this model is the El Primero 3620
SK caliber, but it's actually configured without a traditional center second display. Instead,
it features a continuously running indicator driven directly by the escapement. This completes
one rotation every 10 seconds. I actually do really like as well on this watch how the gold
plays with the black. It's super, super cool. Now this comes in at $18,200.
Next up, we're taking a jump up in price. Tourbillons tend to do that. This is the Zenith
Defy Skyline Tourbillon Skeleton as well. Now this is the first tourbillon skeleton model within
the Zenith Defy Skyline range. It's 41 millimeters in a rose gold case and bracelet. So the heft on
this thing must be absolutely insane. And it's powered by the El Primero 3630 SK caliber.
And then finally, we're taking a little bit of a step down to the more mid-sizey,
bordering on more feminine watches. So there's a couple of new Skylines. You've got the Zenith
Defy Skyline 36. This is a silver dialed model coming in at 36 millimeters in diameter. You
then have the same offering with a diamond bezel, which is definitely aimed more towards
the female market. It's pretty cool to see Zenith making moves there. I think that they
do cool stuff. They have cool innovation. It would just be nice to have a hype model with Zenith that
would then spill over into everything else. Because I think that might be what they're
missing at the moment. Okay, so this is a weird one. It's actually really historically relevant.
But I just don't... Let's just talk about it. This is the new Piaget two-tone edition
of the Polo 79. And yes, I know what you're thinking. How weird? The Piaget Polo 79 kind
of signaled the brand's reentry into the realm of integrated sports watches. It combined the kind of
character of the old models with the singular aesthetic of Piaget in general. And in 2025,
the concept was refined further with the new introduction of a more understated white gold
version. Now to see context in this, we kind of need to rewind to 1979, possibly the golden era in
the world for the brand. Because this is when the integrated bracelet sportier designs were coming
through. You've got AP Patek, you've got Vacheron Constantin overseas, you've got, you know, the IWC
engineer, you've got all of these watches kind of fighting for the same space. And Piaget thought
we need to be in there. So as a result, they created this. The original Polo's design was
characterized by the traditional horizontal kind of lines through the whole watch, which is actually
quite cool, but also I struggle with a little bit. And now fast forward to today, we have this. And
it comes in at 38 millimeters in diameter, 7.45 mil in thickness. It comes in 18 carat white gold
and also yellow gold. And it has sapphire crystal on both sides and is water resistant to 50 meters.
The movement is the Piaget caliber 1200 P1, entirely in-house ultra thin automatic movement,
which is really, really cool. And it also has 44 hours of power. Now this watch comes in at roughly
$96,000. Hublot's been doing some cool stuff at the moment. Genuinely, there's some really cool
stuff. And actually this highlights it for me. It's not for me per se, but I really like the
idea. So Hublot have just released the brand new Big Band Tourbillon Novak Djokovic G.O.A.T.
Tennis Surface Edition watch. Yes, that's genuinely the name. I don't know who, I mean, surely you'd
shorten it, but hey, it's cool. So let's just talk about the really cool detail on here before we get
to the kind of specs of the basic watch. So there's only 101 of these watches made currently.
72 pieces are in blue and that symbolizes Djokovic's hard court wins. Whereas 21 of these
models are in orange for his clay court wins and eight in green for his wins on the grass.
And that of course makes 101, which are numbered but not limited. And the reason that they're not
limited is just in case Djokovic wins in the future, in which case they will produce another
one. That's a really cool concept. I really like that. Think what you will about Hublot,
but you cannot deny that it's such a cool concept. These models come in at 44 millimeters in diameter,
14.4 millimeters in thickness. They come in obviously depending on the court, blue, orange,
or green. And the movement in these models is the caliber MHUB6035. This is an in-house automatic
tourbillon movement with 293 components, 26 jewels, 21,600 VPH, and 72 hours of power.
I do just love some of the tennis detail on this watch. I mean, when you flip it over to
the background, it looks like a tennis racket. There's tons of cool little details splashed
all over this watch and it comes in at 115,000 US dollars. One of the coolest watches that we'll
talk about in this video has to be this Tag Heuer. This is the new Tag Heuer Carrera Seafarer
and it's been revived just because it's, well, I mean, it was a cult, it still is a cult favorite.
The Seafarer's name dates back to 1949 when Heuer created the first Soluner and Seafarer models for
Abercrombie and Fitch. Yes, they did actually work together, which is kind of bizarre. These were
among the first mechanical watches to incorporate tidal information, an idea born from Abercrombie
president Walter Heinz at the time, and it was refined by a young Jack Heuer. Fast forward 50,
60, 66, I'm not going to do the math. Fast forward around about 60 years and these have become such
a cult classic and Tag Heuer have reinvented them. They've re-released them and they look
to die for. These come in at 42 millimeters in diameter, 14.4 millimeters in thickness,
48.6 millimeters lug to lug come in full stainless steel. Have the Tag Heuer caliber
TH20-04, which is fully automatic with 80 hours of power. It has Tag Heuer's brilliant glass box
design and the colors on this watch, it's really interesting. I feel like they shouldn't work,
but they do. And I can't understand, I can't quite wrap my head around it,
but this is one of my favorite new releases of the year so far for sure. It is so vintage looking,
so, I don't know, I actually, I just really want one of these because it just looks so different.
It really, really does. This comes in at 7,450 pounds. Next up, we're going to gloss over these
ones really, really quick because there's four of them, but these are four new sequels to celebrate
the 145th anniversary. So firstly, we have the King Seiko KS1969SJE121. This is basically the
same King Seiko that we know, to be honest, but it comes in at 39.4 millimeters in diameter,
9.9 millimeters in thickness, and it's run by the brand's caliber 6L35 automatic movement with 45
hours of power. Then we get to the Seiko Prospect Speed Timer Mechanical Chronograph SRQ059. This
comes in at 42 millimeters in diameter, 14.6 millimeters in thickness, and it's powered by
the caliber 8R48. Then after that, we've got something that's pretty weird. This is the
Seiko Pressage Classic Craftsmanship enamel dial SPB538. This comes in at 35 millimeters in diameter,
12.3 millimeters in thickness. It's fitted with boxed-shaped sapphire crystal glass,
and it has the caliber 6R51 movement with 72 hours of power. And then finally, we get to this. This
is the Seiko Astron GPS Solar Dual Time Chronograph SSH186. This is actually crafted from titanium
with a black version of Seiko's super hard coating, and it comes in at 44.1 millimeters in diameter,
14.4 millimeters in thickness, and it's actually finished with double-domed sapphire crystal glass.
All in all, these are pretty simple. They're pretty clean. They're pretty classic. There's
nothing too ambiguous or out there about these watches, but it's nice to see.
AORUS just released a brand new watch. This is the Year of the Horse Limited Edition,
and it's a fresh batch of the Chinese Zodiac watches because the Year of the Fire Horse
will officially begin on February the 17th. Overall, I actually really like this. I like
the really dark burgundy dial. I like the little details of the horse on that dial,
of course, being the Year of the Horse. I don't really have an affiliation to Chinese New Year
and the animals, so I don't get it that much, but I know a lot of people will. So actually,
I think this is a really cool release from AORUS. There's not much to say about it. It's a bit meh.
I like it, but it's just a bit meh to me personally because I don't have an affiliation to it.
Not sure on how the leather strap plays against that burgundy dial, but hey,
it's cool. This new limited edition AORUS comes in at about 8,000 US dollars.
