Yanabu Takashi here I run
Yamarichi a plant-based iris brand
I also run another company called Creative Enjinia Paradise
Lately I've been almost entirely focused on my child
I essentially share fragments of the scenery I personally experience through my lifestyle
It just naturally captures things as they are since I'm not actively trying to grow my following or anything like that
The apartment I currently live in is a compact 2LDK with an area of approximately 59 square meters
The reason I chose this house is that I was originally looking in the area I'd lived in for a long time—Shibuya Higashi
We ended up deciding to buy the place when we realized we'd need a slightly larger room since we'd just become parents during our search
It's not quite a full-fledged concept for the home but
In a minimalist space two designs that subtly evoke a Japanese warmth with wood-like tones while also featuring clean Nordic-inspired minimalism both stand out
It feels like they're consciously aiming for something along the lines of what's commonly referred to as "Japan D "
Originally when I bought it it was a newly renovated house that had been entirely wood-themed
I felt the wood-like finish was a bit too much and didn't quite suit me
so originally I was thinking of going for something more like raw concrete
That's why I felt uneasy whenever the child stumbled a little so while exploring
various materials we ended up choosing this white flooring currently in place
It's a material used in hospitals and similar settings safe even if children chew on it
We chose this material because it has a slightly cushioned feel making it safer for children to fall on—unlike concrete it reduces the risk of head injuries
It's about considering both functionality and design
The table is a Fritz Hansen Round Table
It's an Arne Jacobsen design slightly larger than standard sizes purchased at my wife Tatte's request
It's just a bit too large but as you can see when you pull it in it fits perfectly
It's actually quite large—so big in fact that it's difficult to feed the child as the food is too far away to reach
Since I often host home gatherings this size seems just right to place in the center of the living room
Both of these are Fritz Hansen's Seven Chairs
I bought this set inspired by that image
These two are now completely unified in white making the room look quite white and slightly chilly
Since I wanted to refine it a bit I thought it'd better not to overdo the wooden furniture or it might become too warm and cozy
Conversely if you go all white everything—walls and floor—will be white
A carefully balanced arrangement that subtly incorporates a single vintage chair by Boemont Ensen J39
It's not about being overly particular but I do pay attention to it This
is the Ergo lighting by Reefar
It might be a bit hard to tell from the video bu
This glass section has a grayish tint
I was drawn to this piece because of the way the gray sections and the inner electrical elements subtly shift in appearance depending on the viewing angle—truly beautiful
It's a lamp
The mountain in the background is Nangar Parbat photographed by my friend the photographer ABE Yusuke in Nepal
I have a photo of him displayed here
It was just a little while ago When I went back in time I was managing a company with dozens of people
At that time when I went to Abe'
s place and mentioned wanting to draw
a new picture Abe said that
whenever he looked at this mountain
The mountain's peak gleams brilliantly in the sunlight appearing incredibly radiant in this shape
Actually just looking at this mountain you can't see much at all—it's like the tip of an iceberg
The base of it is incredibly massive
Nangaparbat itself is one of the highest
mountains in the world by elevation It' s exceptionally
tall largely because of its massive base and extensive foothills
What really stands out I think is not necessarily the top position but rather the overall presence—something that
becomes apparent when you're talking and drinking
together like how a company's management might come across
While she appears on various media outlets
it's because so many staff members support her behind the scenes so
I'd like to hear you talk about how she's able to shine like that
The photo I bought because it really resonated with me personally
As a piece of art it carries my thoughts…
Yes because it holds memories
Even though he comes to the copper wire every morning just to have coffee
the photo he sees every day serves as a
reminder not to forget his original intentions
There's a renowned interior
designer named Mr Morita
and one of his notable works is called "Brain "
According to the explanation the idea is that a person's
character and humanity somehow come through in the books they read
When I heard that concept I truly felt the same and
depending on the moment I'd find myself drawn to books on art
I consult finance books from time to time but what stands out is how they reveal my
own emotions and humanity at the time and
the concept of the work itself is excellent
The photograph I purchased which I find visually
striking and beautifully styled as interior art
I'm creating this as a decorative interior piece
personally but the lighting is a frosted bulb
It's one of those popular products you often see on Instagram lately but it 's
quite bright so it's better suited for nighttime rather than daytime use
I sometimes use it when reading books aloud to my child
at night because it's very
lightweight and easy to handle
It's convenient to move around
Also the code is quite long
An art book is stacked on top with a stool underneath
The stool is 60
A popular item from Altech Use
it as a side table when lounging
on the sofa or to set down your coffee while watching movies
We also have home parties from time to time so
these are the stools we use during those gatherings
This is the workspace right I'm shooting
by the window I
generally prefer brighter
spots over darker ones so I use the
window area Also since space is limited
Since we wanted to minimize waste as much
as possible this house itself is the focus We bought
a newly renovated home but with additional
renovations we're updating the flooring and so on
I had this desk made and
also the storage shelf I'll be introducing
next—both made by the same
craftsman His name is Shoma Yamamoto
It's also something made by a friend
who's an interior designer the concept
or request was simply that the desk
shouldn't feel like it was just floating
I really wanted it to feel like a natural part
of the home so I had the surface painted white to
match the floor coordinated the sides with the rest
of the interior and had it custom-made accordingly
This area also has slanted shelves—probably many renters like
everyone else are wondering what
to do with this awkward space
I think you're bound to have
concerns but this purchase
property allows for a custom-made vertical curtain
It's a custom-built pitch of course but
also angled to match the layout—this
side is designated for my wife and it's
the current model of the wheeled chair
Although considered current production it's actually been used
a bit longer having come in
annually and it's a complete vintage piece just
like the Wychair I use two of them interchangeably
I actually spend more time working at home but this vintage chair is slightly lower in
seat height It's designed according to the
human proportions of people from earlier times
The current model is more
expensive because its average size
has increased but since this one
is lower it fits me perfectly
I usually use this vintage one This is the book my wife is
about to read It seems she aims
to read around 100 books a year
There's a wide variety including novels
aside from business books and probably
parenting guides too so it really feels
like they're stacking everything together
I happen to like keeping things organized so even if I'm supposed
to stack them properly I still end up
leaving them untidy—so I'm ordering it this way
It feels nicely stacked right now If I were to do the
stacking though it would be
magazines like interior design ones
The only books I read during work breaks or
refer to for design inspiration are the ones I've collected for relaxation
I'm completely surrounded by my wife 's
books just like the plant-based
YumRitch ice cream brand I just introduced in my self-introduction
I'm doing it myself you see—that's the ice cup I'm just
checking the scale a bit
Whenever I'm working on some material I end up bringing things home and
just leaving them there untouched like
in a paradise for creative agencies
I also run a company where I serve as an executive
and I've entrusted the creative work to them
The designer itself was created by
commissioning a French designer We
wanted to build a brand for
this ice cream that would succeed internationally
Since it was a brand we had created ourselves we decided to go ahead and commission a
designer based in Paris France
This is also the shelf
made for Mr Shoma Konimoto
the company called 10 as mentioned earlier
The child is still only two and quite small so while
there are these everyday-style fasteners around here
Even though I've lived here for years
the biggest source of
stress has been when arranging furniture the surface ends up uneven and creates a small gap
The empty space where furniture
doesn't quite fit isn't necessary
yet we force it to be filled inevitably creating wasted space
There was an unsettling feeling about it so when I bought it I
made sure not to get furniture from such places and instead
had it completely rebuilt from scratch
It's something that was made for
me isn't it This one also
matches the tone of the other woods and since I dislike waste that's why
I didn’t really want to add handles or anything so I’ll just try prying it
open with my fingers a bit since that’s
the idea—opening it using a finger hook
Adjust the pitch size to be as far apart as possible
For example there's no interference here but
this is the specification
It's called a unit I suppose—this one itself is like a piece of design a very
beautifully crafted shelf that I really love
It also has excellent storage capacity so
Everything from notebooks and pens to
daily necessities is all included in here
I've had this record player for quite some
time now and there's a record inside it
Just set the records I usually listen to a bit higher up
now there's RAI's record here
This one is also something I use almost every day in regular playback
This is Marshall's portable speaker yes
Originally it was used for placing larger amps but
Kids might touch it and I don’t really listen to music at
that volume these days so a portable speaker should be fine
I bring it along whenever I'm
driving so it's been pretty handy
It's actually quite popular right
now and it's called the Leader
I don't think this is something typical of Japan where
marble or such interior elements aren't really common either
And lately gradually influenced by trends in Europe I get the
sense that things like this have become somewhat popular now
Things like these ceramics are the same
really I don't think ceramics are often placed in Japanese interiors
This is Ronwi a renowned and historic French ceramics brand
but I personally enjoy mixing in such pieces quite a bit
The color is white which complements the
home and while the hue matches both ceramic
and marble the texture has been changed
to create a more solid feel in this area
This lamp is the same yes I use this portable lamp regularly
in my child's room and I find many different ways to use it
It's also made of plastic with a different texture but the look is unified in
white This one too is the same as the
one introduced earlier in the dining area
These are the works of my friend the photographer Yuusuke Abe
When I was buying this house I was wondering how I'd handle this wall
Even though there's quite a bit of wall space
I was absolutely determined to have art here but since I don’t have a
lifestyle that includes things like
a TV at home a television never came
When I'm usually sitting on the sofa facing
forward I've decided to hang the largest
most calming artwork possible whenever I think "What would be nice right now "
I heard it was an amazing photo
taken right at the pharmacy so
I said "Let me see " and this is what I was shown
bought this house at the same time our child was born
a vibrant photo full of life taken on this auspicious island known for its healing springs
It's the kind of image you can gaze at endlessly without ever growing tired
It's incredibly calming I really
like this aspect Made with acrylic
panels I wanted to keep the edges and details
as minimal as possible this time
A photograph with acrylic instead of a frame securely
coated with a metal backing just like this one
That sofa right there sitting proudly in the center of the room
A must-have for any parent with kids
Flanders Sofa's Siesta—a popular sofa from a domestic
brand—features this distinctive surface texture
It has a slightly leathery texture but it's
actually made from Toré's synthetic material—water
-resistant and stain-resistant This is especially
important as a child is about to be born
I was worried it might look too plain
if I went back to something like the
leather I used to have so I kept thinking about something easy to maintain
You might think it'd be fine
if it were fabric but actually
many fabrics don't budge at all when it comes to stains
That’s when you spray it on and quickly vacuum
it up—apparently it really removes stains
the material is excellent
and you know how it is with sofas they always seem to get messy
Good overseas brands often don’t fit well in Japanese
homes so I ended up choosing
domestic brand sofas—though there was a time when
I did buy quite a few overseas
brands but then when I add cushions they fit just right
Adding cushions makes it feel like a
foreign brand but even with them it ends up feeling stiff like
you shouldn't even touch it and strangely enough sitting on it for too long
actually makes you tired
I really think it's great when a Japanese brand fits the Japanese size so
perfectly In reality the milk is truly
reliable and my child spills it all the time
Caught a cold at daycare and kept sticking nose-blowing stickers on it so it's
also easy to clean and even though I've gotten it pretty dirty since buying it
I was wondering if there might be a water leak though
As you've seen with this house
the floor is completely white
and parts of it were once a kitchen
along with this kind of furniture
Among materials with a wood-
like texture since the color is
basically monochrome I'd like to add a touch of
accent so to speak
Originally when spreading the image of Rilove on
platforms like Pinterest the
one that was pure blue was
I thought a white bed with a bright blue tone would look really cool but
my wife said the blue felt a bit too cold
I'd already decided to buy the green artwork first so I
thought a similar green-toned
furniture would go well with it
That's the feel of placing the green right there
The kitchen well it's
exactly as it was when I originally bought it—still in the same
condition as when I first purchased it just
like the property was when I first renovated it
Honestly I wasn't particularly fond of this wood at first
but since modifying it would exceed
the budget we had to stick with it
We've centered our thinking around this quite a bit
As a result right here behind
although I originally thought most people would place it in the kitchen
I felt it would better to have some creativity here so
I had Yamamoto Shoma handle
this interior design and
renovation upgrade and he’s
already measured the pitch here too
I wanted to fit everything snugly so I
had these top and bottom pieces made to maximize
storage space When considering how this
wood would relate to the rest of the design
That feels about right so the
other shelves kind of give off the
vibe of just getting started now
Since we can't move this wooden piece
It's designed to blend
naturally with the living
room storage unit creating a clean cohesive look
Storage-wise since there are these walls and
such regular shelving
just won't fit neatly so ultimately
we'll have to get this custom-made
Because it was custom-made unlike hinged doors this
type of door allows
for more storage space even in a
small kitchen with two people present
Since I have kids I'm a bit worried about things falling during an earthquake if it's
a door that opens and closes but with this nothing really falls down in the first place
That's the general idea with this type of setup
Inside this lower section over here
there's a trash can
which many people tend to struggle with right
I'd like to go outside but it's cumbersome to go out every time and
besides it would ruin the exterior appearance
so what should I do
It's inconvenient to keep it
inside the house it smells bad and I originally wanted to put the trash can in this storage space
Place the order
it's like a drawer
and that's how it was arranged
Why there are a few trash cans inside this thing
Is this everything in the storage
The trash can and
then things like bags
that kind of stuff
Surprisingly when you live with it
Throwing this away like this doesn't really bother
me and honestly there's no issue with
it—this is something I really like I'm also trying to
store as much household electronics as possible
That's why this area was made with certain items that
my wife frequently
uses in daily life and that she'd
like to keep
conveniently placed on top
It's placed up there but even
in high-end
apartments or very
spacious homes
isn't the kitchen
space here surprisingly narrow
So without a
counter behind or this
unit the kitchen wouldn't really
work so we've made sure to keep
quite a bit of
movable space here
Since we wanted plenty of space to work with
we ordered accordingly—ensuring this area was just wide enough for two people to pass through
while also securing room for the workbench
The custom-built pieces we ordered
are the kitchen storage the
workspace table and
the living room'
s so additional
renovations are also
Almost exactly this is the additional
workbench for the
furniture Apart from that
I really wanted to go full skeleton
doing exactly what I wanted but it's
been tricky—budget
constraints make it
tough—still I'm really loving it today
Since both my wife and I enjoy drinking
having something like whiskey and wine
cellars makes it even more fun to host
home parties especially
since the pandemic
The biggest change has been having
children but since dining out has
become difficult having a wine cellar is really convenient after all
After the kids went to bed I might have a
glass of wine or something like that—just a
little drink now and then maybe mixing
it up a bit so it's pretty much along those lines
Wine is especially tricky to store properly
so having a cellar is really convenient
I'm a bit
caught up in this
home party right now but
I think I'll go with gin and
whiskey Why gin though
Wine whiskey gin
There are a few affordable options around here
but there's also some excellent gift gin available
It's just gotten wintertime now so Yangming Liquor' s been paying a bit more attention to health lately
The kitchen light I just turn it on for a second but when I'm actually scrubbing away
with that scratchy sound
this lighting works
fine however for regular relaxed meal times
With so many kitchen lights
it's just too bright and feels too lived-in don't you think
When I look at homes overseas
they manage to look perfectly fine even when it's super dim
Japan since it's inevitably already
renovated from the
start whenever I don't
want to use this I can change it
with the lighting here and reflect it right there
It's not clear why today in particular but since there's plenty of light at
night there are definitely some key points
to consider in the styling around here
Which lighting is that
Oh it's Artwork Studio right
It gives a really great value-for-money impression
Although lighting was supposedly designed
to be installed here I'm not
particularly fond of overly bright spaces so even among the ones we've featured in today's shoot
There's also a dimmable pendant in the living area
and in fact
we usually manage just fine with this one light in the kitchen area
I've kept it mostly centered around indirect lighting Are there
photos of the two of you in
the video Probably quite a few I'd say
This is truly more like my wife's family's culture or perhaps European culture really
Even when visiting her family home there are
always countless family photos everywhere
After dating my wife and getting married it's been over six years in total
so I've become quite accustomed to it or perhaps deeply immersed in it
So I keep my family
photos out at work just like anyone
else and at home it's the same—photos of memories with my wife
She decorates the space with photos of the cat she used to buy and this area in
particular is all about her—this artwork
too is the first piece she ever purchased
That's why I've put it up here
It's called " Stop Wishing Start Doing " meaning it's time to
stop just hoping and start taking action This
one's also from Nhon-chan who's a close friend
She's a female artist who's currently skyrocketing in popularity and with
her artwork displayed here this space has become a full-fledged wife's zone
Also regarding household appliances my wife has particular preferences
and since she works full-time we share
childcare responsibilities equally
We try to automate as much as possible so even though our cleaning robot is
already doing a great job we're aiming to
incorporate even more automated solutions
With this Panasonic Brastop model I don't usually use much
but having it set up like this
means it's ready by nightfall
I try to be as careful with money as
possible Until we had children I always thought that kind of feature
would only be used a few times a year
Even though I still honestly use it all the time that's not the point the real importance is that
when something comes up having a complete set on hand means
you can handle it right away which is truly crucial
Even when making baked sweet
potatoes that kids love it's great because you
can achieve the perfect fluffy texture
Lights and small accessories I suppose
There's really nothing that fits
perfectly and the living room has actually been left exposed all along
Rather than deliberately choosing we just haven't found anything that quite fits
yet—ideas like Peach or more obvious options were considered but nothing felt right
I also don’t like having lighting here that draws too much attention so
I haven’t changed it The kitchen
itself is something I really love though
It's easier to change than
furniture so I love decorating
with lighting and small accessories especially flowers
I occasionally buy nice items like vases whenever I find them
considering my life with children
I think two would be about right
One is a fully automatic washing and drying machine
and the other is a basic but functional robot
—specifically a cleaning robot These two items have become absolutely essential to daily life
It's not an exaggeration to say that dual-
income households are struggling to get by The
fully automatic model is by Panasonic and the cleaning robot is under the ECOBOX brand
The dryer performed well in drying
reviews making wrinkles less likely
whereas there's quite a noticeable difference with the cleaning robot
I'm not sure right now but two or three years ago there was still a significant
difference—back then including my own office I was using around four devices
Among obstacles that make you fall if you don't properly recognize them and items you're told
to collect but are actually scattered around it's
reassuring that you actually pick them up properly
Since mopping can be done cleanly it goes without saying that the machine
also automatically cleans and wrings out the mop for you
The mop-equipped model from EcoBucks is highly recommended
because it handles both sweeping and mopping effortlessly
I think that's what everyone feels—whether the item blends into
the entire room or not or whether
it's intentionally kept distinct
What kind of style are we talking about anyway
Let's prioritize this first and narrow it down
The other one is timeless appeal
Since I personally value things that last a long time
I avoid buying things that might go out of style soon
Otherwise I look for items that I can enjoy aging with over time aside from design
Those are the three main points
Thank you very much for today
Thank you
