The Blurring Out Show.
How you doing tonight?
I'm all right. How are you?
Great. And we love Ghost World. That movie rocked.
Thank you. I liked it too.
It's coming out on DVD soon, isn't it?
Is it? Oh, God. I don't know what to do with that. I have a DVD player,
but it's been stashed in my closet for like two years.
You're kidding me. Well, you're so busy.
No, it's not that. It's just like I'm partial to video cassette tapes, you know?
I don't know. It's a big transition.
What projects are you working on right now?
Oh, dear. I don't know. You tell me.
Oh, there's a couple of things in the works, I guess.
I'm doing a project with Rosie O'Donnell, I think in the spring.
And it's sort of this weird project. I don't know. I play some...
Oh, there goes Ben Stiller. Missed him.
I've been waiting to interview you.
Really? What do you think?
I think you're great.
Thank you. Thanks a lot.
Is that all right now?
That's what I'm doing in the spring, so I guess that's all right now.
You're just kind of taking it easy.
Yeah, I'm applying to colleges right now.
Now, what lip gloss are you wearing?
I'm wearing a MAC lip gloss. I don't know.
With the glitter already in it, right? One of their new lip glosses.
Sure. Well, you know. Wow.
Yeah, I'm a makeup artist.
Oh, really? Well, yes. I have no idea. Some apricot colored thing.
Come here, Jack.
Beautiful night. Have you met Jack Black before?
Hi, I'm Jack.
Howdy.
Scarlett Johansson.
Yeah, we met, right?
No? No, we didn't.
Oh, I just thought you were awesome in Ghost World. That's what it was.
Yeah, it was indeed. I was just telling her. That's the new rules. Coming out on DVD soon.
Oh, really?
Yeah. Thank you, Scarlett.
Good to meet you, too. Take it easy.
Jack, blaring out with Eric Blair's show. How you doing, buddy?
You got a good mic colors.
Thanks, bro. These are like my life colors.
Oh, really?
My life's all about purple and green.
Is this a cable show?
Yeah.
All right.
It's a good one, though, bro.
I won't hold it against you.
Okay, you'll be proud.
I like cable.
Orange County. Tell me about being in this movie. Was it fun?
Hell yeah. Hells yeah.
Because I know you're a fun loving guy. How hard is it for you to sit down and study the
lines and have to be disciplined and learn them?
It's not. You know, if it's something you like, then it's not hard.
It's hard to memorize lines for me. Some people like, some people memorize it the day before.
I have to be working on it a couple weeks before, you know,
especially if I have like a big monologue or something.
Now, how's your band Tenacious D doing? I know you released a CD a couple months ago.
How'd that do for you?
Awesome. Still, it's selling good.
But the main thing is it's just a really bitching record. Is that all right for me to say?
Absolutely.
Will you be doing any more shows?
Kind of conceded of me, but I'm stoked the way it turned out.
My brother likes it. He says it's kind of Spinal Tap-ish.
Yeah. Well, it's funny like that.
What's the highlight of making the movie for you?
Probably the scene in the car when I'm driving him to Stanford and I'm all coked up and freaking out.
Some hot CDs that you love right now besides your own.
That was like the last question.
I'm going to go. I'm going to say Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Blaring out show.
