A great pumpkin decorating idea for you.
Now, I saw this set of three pumpkins at Dollar Tree.
I love the shape of the pumpkins,
but not necessarily the color,
but we can easily change that.
So I'm gonna spray all three of these pumpkins
with the color Sand Dollar.
This is starting to be my favorite spray paint.
I've been using it in a lot of projects.
Last year, if you were following me during the holidays,
I created these borax ornaments.
They were really pretty
and they had these great crystals to them.
And I thought, let's try it with the pumpkins.
So you're going to start with a pot.
Now, this pot needs to be designated for crafts.
Outside of my pot, I wrote borax.
This is an older pot that I'm gonna be using
just for this project.
And then I'm also going to mix in about a cup of borax.
I'm gonna fill it up halfway with water.
Now, to mix it, I'm gonna be using a paint stirrer.
Then I'm gonna turn it on high heat
and you just wanna leave it on the heat
until all of your borax is dissolved.
Then turn the heat off
and you're going to place the pumpkins into the pot.
You wanna let your pumpkin sit in there
for at least 24 hours.
What's gonna happen is they're going to create
these really cool crystals on your pumpkins.
Now, it's kind of in a random pattern, but it looks so cute.
Now, if you want more crystals,
leave it sitting in there for even longer.
Like, I probably could have left mine in there
for about two days.
I just did the 24 hours, pulled them out,
and then let them completely dry.
Once they're dry, they look so pretty in your decor.
And I love the crystal effect on these pumpkins.
One of the biggest requests I get each year
is to make a wreath.
So I'm gonna be showing you how to use
the Dollar Tree florals to put together a wreath.
So I really liked these eucalyptus stems
and I purchased them in all different colors.
I also picked up one of the Dollar Tree floral foam wreaths
and I'm gonna spray paint it on both sides
with a white spray paint.
Now, with my florals, I cut them down
so that they were smaller in size.
And then with a wreath,
you wanna add as many florals as possible
to make it look very full.
So what I did with the florals
is I'm going to add hot glue
and then I'm gonna place them on in a crisscross pattern.
You also wanna make sure that you mix the colors
so it looks very organic.
You don't wanna follow a specific pattern
when you're putting them down.
Just kinda add them sporadically.
Keep adding the florals
until you get all the way around to the other side.
And then one thing I like to do
is hang it up and look at it
and make sure it looks okay
and it doesn't need any more florals.
Here's how it looks hanging on my wall.
Next candy hack just takes a few minutes to do
and it only takes two ingredients.
You're gonna need some pretzel sticks
and some Reese's miniatures.
The thing that's gonna take you the longest
is removing all the miniatures from the packaging
and just place them upside down on a plate.
Just place one pretzel in the top of the miniature.
These could not be easier to make and kids love them.
If you caught my last Dollar Tree Fall Shop With Me video,
you saw that I found these gnomes.
We pulled them straight out of the box
and gnomes are always a really popular item at Dollar Tree,
but I wanted to give you a way to style them
with more of a modern decor.
What you can do with these gnomes
is spray paint them on the backside and the front side
with a flat black spray paint.
Once that dries, to bring out the detail in those gnomes,
grab some gold Rub and Buff
and I'm just going to use a foam brush
and place that sparingly onto my gnomes.
This is gonna bring back that detail and look really cool.
And you can use any gold Rub and Buff color you like.
You could also use silver as well.
Have you ever wondered what to do
with those affordable orange pumpkins?
I have a hack for you so you can use them in your kitchen.
So you're gonna start by removing the black handle.
Next, you're gonna spray paint it
a brown or terracotta color.
I'm gonna spray paint on the underside first
with a warm brown color.
Then I'll flip it over.
I'll spray paint the top and the inside.
I wanted to give it a worn kind of cool look.
So once my paint was dry,
I came in with some Plaster of Paris.
I'm gonna be using a sponge to apply it.
So I'll dip my sponge into water and the plaster
and I'll dab it around my entire piece.
As the plaster dries,
it's going to start looking a lot more white and bright.
So just remember that when you're putting it on
and it looks very muted.
So I'm gonna put it all around my jack-o'-lantern
and let that dry.
Now, after it was dry,
I felt like it was a little bit too much for me.
So I decided to come back in with a terracotta color
and using a sponge,
I'm going to dab that all over my piece.
Now, if the color is too intense,
you can add in some water to your sponge
and then just continue to add that terracotta color
until you're happy with the way it looks.
I would let it dry between each coat
just so you can really see if you like it.
Once it's dry, you're left with a piece like this
that you can set out in your kitchen,
put in your favorite utensils
and it's a great decorative piece for your kitchen.
For this next DIY,
we're gonna make an acorn using a common Dollar Tree toy.
So we're gonna be using this little Nerf football
that they have.
I'm gonna start by painting it a brown color.
I'm gonna be using some Dollar Tree burlap.
I'll wrap it around my football
and then I'll hot glue it at the top.
I'm gonna be pulling the burlap
to make sure that it's as neat as possible
and hot glue it in place.
And then I'll cut off the excess burlap.
Now, if you shop at Dollar Tree,
you've probably seen these Dollar Tree rope bowls.
I'm gonna be using the one with the black trim
and I'll hot glue that to the top of my football
as my acorn topper.
Now, to finish it off with a stem,
I'm gonna be using this stick that I had from my backyard.
I'll cut off a smaller stick
and I'm gonna hot glue that in place
and add a little bit of moss to finish it off.
One of the most popular mason jars at Dollar Tree
are these ones that are in this really cute pumpkin shape.
They come in a clear as well as an orange color.
For this next DIY, I'm gonna be using a clear one.
You also wanna pick up some sticker dots.
These are over in like the craft section at Dollar Tree
where the stickers are.
So I'm gonna start by pulling off a row of the stickers
and I'm gonna put them on the top portion of my jar
and I'm gonna wrap them around the entire jar,
putting them in the exact same place.
When I was adding on the stickers,
I noticed that there was about an inch or so at the bottom
where I needed some additional stickers.
So I will just cut them off and add them to the bottom.
Next, I'm gonna spray paint the entire vase
with a khaki color.
So I'm going to do the bottom side
and then flip it over to the front side
and add in more of that khaki color.
Next, I wanted to add this stone finish.
I use this in a lot of my DIYs
and this is a great spray paint to add to your collection.
So I'll spray around the entire vase.
Once my vase is dry,
I'm gonna add in some of my favorite florals
for this time of year.
This pompous grass, I'll link it for you down below,
but I'm just going to add in each of the pieces individually
to really get that fullness that I'm going for.
And here's how it looks in my decor.
Dollar Tree has so many cute apple cider items
out this year for fall.
So I wanted to show you
how you could put all these items together
to create a really cute apple cider station
if you're having company over.
I'm gonna fill up one of my glass containers
with apple cider.
I'm also going to add in some oranges
as well as apple slices.
In the Dollar Tree Plus section,
they have these $5 tables.
I'll add that as well.
Next, I like to start with my base pieces.
So I'm gonna add in things I already have on hand,
my bowls, I'm also going to add in a tray.
The leaf tray I'm using was from Dollar Tree
and get all of those main pieces down.
Dollar Tree has these super cute signs
that you can add to your grouping.
I'm also gonna set out some of my mugs.
Now from here, you can add in some fun ingredients
that might work well with your apple cider
as well as some snacks.
So I have my cinnamon sticks.
I'm also going to add my apples and some orange slices.
I'll add some brown sugar and some donuts for a snack.
This took just a few minutes to put together
and it's super cute for your guests.
