A Philadelphia man has been arrested for murder in what the Bucks County District Attorney is calling a case of domestic violence in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania.
Yujun Ren, 32, is being charged with criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime, and stalking. Bristol Township police say he arrived with his attorney to turn himself in around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Police say Ren led them to a home on the unit block of Outlook Lane in Levittown, where they found a woman with a gunshot wound to the head sitting in the driver's seat of a car.
New details tonight now into a disturbing case of domestic violence.
A Philadelphia man was behind bars in Bucks County accused of stalking and ultimately
killing Yuan-Yuan Liu.
Tonight loved ones of the victim were speaking only to Action News and demanding justice.
Action News reporter Breonna Smith live from police headquarters with more.
Breonna.
Rick, Yuan-Yuan Liu's ex-boyfriend lives in South Philadelphia where she told detectives
he sexually assaulted her.
Liu's cousin convinced her to file a police report on Saturday for protection, but then
less than 12 hours later Liu was found dead outside her home in Bristol Township.
We're still processing a lot of it, and it still doesn't feel real.
Natalie Truong and her family are trying to cope with the unimaginable loss of her cousin,
28-year-old Yuan-Yuan Liu.
She's a really sweet girl, she's always bubbly, happy.
Bristol Township police say Liu's ex-boyfriend, 32-year-old Yu-Jon Ren, killed her on Sunday
morning after she ended the relationship.
And all she wanted to do was leave, like just to leave him.
But police say Ren stalked Liu just hours after she reported he sexually assaulted her.
This ring camera video appears to show a car police described as Ren trailing behind Liu
around 5.45 a.m. before stopping outside her home on Outlook Lane.
Around 12.30 p.m. detectives found Liu shot to death in her car.
It's tragic.
Yeah.
So she's trying to get out.
She's trying to do the right thing.
The criminal complaint states Ren turned himself in and told police he accidentally killed Liu
after she said hurtful things and took their pets.
Neighbors remain in disbelief.
They seemed friendly.
They walked the dog down the street.
I mean, it's like a normal couple.
They didn't say anything bad.
She always said hi, good morning, you know, your children are beautiful, have a good day,
like very sweet.
Like a light of sunshine.
Truong hopes her kind cousin, who always saw the good in people, gets the justice she deserves.
I want them to remember her as a really happy, strong girl.
I don't want them to see her as a victim because she wouldn't want to be seen like that.
Liu's family is raising money for funeral expenses and to bring her relatives here from China.
As for Ren, he was denied bail and due back in court tomorrow.
He's charged with homicide and stalking.
