On Friday evening of last week, President Trump predicted that the stock market will double in
three years. So I want to show you what happened last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average had a
record high above 50,000. So you're looking at a chart that spans approximately 40 years.
And I want to zoom in for you so that you can see how the Dow Jones has been performing over
the past five years. And I want to point this out to you to give you some context.
The Dow Jones has gone up 59% over the past five years. Therefore, if President Trump is saying
that the stock market is going to double in three years, then that would be quite amazing.
Anyways, the Dow Jones has crossed over 50,000 and it was a big deal. President Trump wrote about
it multiple times on Truth Social. He first wrote this when it happened. The Dow Jones
Industrial Average just hit 50,000 for the first time in history. Congratulations, America. So he
wrote that on Friday at 1.47pm. And about two and a half hours later, this is what he wrote.
The experts said that if I hit 50,000 of the Dow by the end of my term,
I would have done a great job. But I hit 50,000 today, three years ahead of schedule.
Remember that for the midterms because the Democrats will crash the economy.
And then after that, here's where President Trump makes his prediction about the stock market
doubling. Record stock markets and national security driven by a great tariffs. I am
predicting 100,000 of the Dow by the end of my term. Remember, Trump was right about everything.
I hope the United States Supreme Court is watching. Okay, so let's dissect this post.
Okay, so the stock market's been doing well. And he's saying that it's because of the tariffs that
he's implemented. And the reason why he says this, like this part, I hope the United States Supreme
Court is watching. That's because the Supreme Court may strike down President Trump's tariffs,
ruling them unconstitutional. That's because normally Congress has to vote and pass the
tariffs in order for them to implement it. But President Trump enacted the tariffs without
congressional approval, claiming that he had the authority to do so due to a national emergency
under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the IEEPA. And if the Supreme Court says,
if they rule and they say that President Trump had no authority to execute these tariffs without
congressional approval, then the majority of President Trump's tariffs are going to be reversed.
And then the money that the government's been collecting would even have to be reimbursed.
Now, let's focus on this part. President Trump predicting a doubling of the Dow Jones in slightly
under three years, but let's just call it three years. That would require the Dow Jones to go up
by 26% a year for the next three years. And a very good question is, is that realistic?
Well, okay, let's look at the stats. I want to show you the performance of the Dow Jones over
the past 10 years. And you have to remember that in order for the stock market to double in three
years, we need to be at or above 26% a year. But in the past 10 years, we did not have a single
year where the Dow Jones met or exceeded 26%. A few years came close, but no. Now,
does that mean that it's impossible for the Dow Jones to double in three years?
I would say no, it's not impossible, but yes, it would be challenging.
Okay, now I just want you to think about this. What can you take away from all of this?
It's that the performance of the stock market is so important to President Trump.
It's one of the metrics that he uses to determine his success as president. And he's going to do
everything in his power to ensure the stock market keeps going up. And I just want to say that if
you're still on the fence about whether to believe it or not, then I want to show you this video clip
of President Trump about two weeks ago at Davos at the World Economic Forum. And I mean, you're
going to see his video clip, I want to show it to you, and he makes his intentions very clear.
When good news came out about, let's say the United States, the United States had a great
quarter, the United States had a great month, all the stocks went up, and that's the way it's
supposed to be. Now, when they say the United States had a record quarter, it's unbelievable
how well it's doing. All the stocks crash because they say, oh no, inflation, inflation,
they're going to raise interest rates. And they do, some of these stupid people like Powell,
they raise interest rates. And what they do is they stop you from being successful.
It used to be when we had a great quarter, a great month, great earnings, great anything,
any good news, the stock market went up. That's the way it's going to be. We got to do that again,
because that's the way it should be. Now, when we have a great month, they want to kill it.
Like we did over 5%. People were surprised. We should do 20%. We could do 25%.
When we announce good numbers, and the reason is they're so petrified of inflation,
and growth doesn't mean inflation. We've had tremendous growth with very low inflation.
In fact, growth can fight inflation, proper growth. So we want to get back to the days when
we announced great numbers. Okay, so you just saw that, and I just want to
emphasize the most important parts that he said. He said that the stock market went up,
and that's the way it's going to be. We got to do that again, because that's the way it should be.
All right, but you might say that, well, okay, well, President Trump does not control
the performance of the stock markets. And I would respond with, well, are you sure about that?
Because newsflash, we do not live in a free market. We live in a centrally planned economy.
And guess what? President Trump just nominated the new Federal Reserve Chair
that comes into power in May. So the stock market goes up or down based on monetary policy,
which is controlled by the Federal Reserve. And if you don't believe me,
then please explain to me how in 2020, when we had negative GDP and record unemployment,
the stock market went up 16%. It's because of monetary policy. They flooded the financial
system with liquidity by money printing. Okay, but you may be thinking, like, Brian,
haven't you seen the headlines in the news and the media? Like, didn't you know that Kevin Warsh,
President Trump's nominee, is hawkish. You know, Warsh is going to raise interest rates. He's
going to stop the money printing. Okay, well, you know what? There's something called lying,
and I call BS. President Trump hates the current Fed Chair, Jerome Powell, for not lowering interest
rates as much as Trump wants them to be lowered. Trump hates him so much that he initiated a
criminal investigation into Powell as a show of force. Now, I want to ask you, why would President
Trump replace Powell with someone that's going to do the same as Powell or even worse? So I'm just
saying, let's use common sense here. Like, I doubt it. Like, that wouldn't make any sense.
So this is President Trump's opportunity to put a yes man as the Chair of the Federal Reserve
in order to boost the stock markets. Trump's not going to waste the opportunity with the midterm
elections right around the corner. Like, I'm just not buying it. But listen, I just want to throw
this out there. Let's just say that Warsh does not cut interest rates. And let's say that he
stops the money printing or he shrinks the Federal Reserve's balance sheets, okay? And let's say that
that, like, those actions crash the stock market, they crash the economy, all right? Then what's
going to happen? In that event, the Federal Reserve creates an emergency. And then they
come to the rescue with their only solution, cutting interest rates dramatically and printing
an overwhelming amount of money. And what would that result in? That would result in, well, more
inflation. And that would result in the stock market going up. So in this scenario, the market
could go down in the short run. However, in the long run, it's just going to go up. In the long
run, stocks are just going to go up. Like, they're going to continue going up like they've always
done. So I'm not talking about individual stocks, but I'm talking about, like, the Dow, the S&P 500,
the NASDAQ. They're just going to keep going up. You saw the 40-year chart. Sure, there's going to
be volatility, there's going to be corrections, maybe even a crash. But if you have a long-term
mindset, then stay invested, and then you're going to make money. It's simply due to financial
asset inflation. But I just want to say this last point, which is very important.
Even though the markets are going to go up in the long run, the markets are not going to go up in a
straight line. It's going to be a bumpy ride with corrections, and again, maybe even a crash.
And if you have an excessive amount of margin debt in your brokerage accounts, like you borrow money
to buy more stocks than you can afford, then you risk getting wiped out in the corrections or the
crashes. And it happens to even smart people, like smart people that get greedy. So please avoid
excess margin because it's very risky. And if you want to see what I'm investing in personally,
