In today’s video, I walk you through my holistic beauty morning routine. I share my skincare, haircare, outfit, and more. I hope you enjoy the video! Love you, xoxo.
Good morning you guys.
Today I'm going to be walking you through my holistic morning beauty routine.
This is pretty much how I get ready every single morning, so let's just jump straight
into it.
Upon wakening, the first thing I do to get ready is brush my teeth and put my contacts
in.
And then I brush my hair, get those tangles out, and then apply one pump of my Blue Beautifly
Organic Argan Oil to my ends just to condition them.
And then I just throw my hair up in a twisted bun secured with a claw clip, just to get
my hair out of my face while I'm doing my skincare.
And my first holistic beauty tip is to hydrate in the morning.
I usually start my day with at least a liter of liquids before I have breakfast.
It hydrates me from the inside out to help give my skin a glow.
It flushes out toxins to prevent acne and other skin issues.
So I enjoy things like warm lemon water.
You guys know I take AG1 every morning, maybe a fresh green juice.
I've been loving adding this Peak Tea Betox Fountain into my water.
It has ceramides and hyaluronic acid for the skin.
I also love a good matcha or turmeric golden milk for their skin beautifying properties.
Really anything to beautify from the inside out.
And I love taking a shower in the morning to wake me up.
I have been doing cold showers throughout the summer.
So I start with the water warm and then in the last minute I turn the water to cold.
And cold showers have many benefits including mood, it can help with depression, and it's
really great for your skin too.
Plus I also use a water filter on my shower to remove chlorine and impurities.
And using a shower filter is another great holistic beauty tip.
Your skin and hair will thank you for it.
But today for the sake of this video I'm washing my face in the sink instead of the shower.
So I'm just using the Fit Glow Makeup Cleansing Oil.
And I know it's meant to remove makeup but I just use it as my everyday cleanser.
It has cloudberry seed oil, watermelon seed oil, and cherry blossom.
It smells like heaven and it's my favorite cleanser.
It just cleanses my skin yet doesn't leave it dry.
And I prefer cleansing with oils in general.
And this one just washes off and you don't need a washcloth.
And I literally bought a year's supply of this last Black Friday and I don't regret it.
And I like to just massage my face and get the blood circulating in the morning.
Maybe do a little bit of gua sha if I have time.
My acupuncturist Julie told me to massage the knots right here in my scalp and I can
really feel that.
And then I just rinse my face off with cold water and pat it dry with a towel.
And once I'm all cleansed I do something very special.
I do some red light therapy for my skin.
And yes I am blessed with the Juve Quad.
This is my baby.
I usually do this in the living room but I have it on a rolling base so I just brought
it into my bathroom to show you guys.
Red light therapy is so great for your skin and just your overall health.
And I'll actually link my red light therapy video down below if you want to learn more
about the health benefits.
But I usually just expose my bare skin for 10 minutes.
I would usually be naked but I'll keep this PG for you guys.
And while I'm doing my red light therapy and getting ready in general, I like to put on
some healing frequencies, some good music, something that's going to really uplift me
in the morning.
Maybe something that I can dance to.
And I'm just using the red light therapy today since I'm focusing on skin care.
But if you are using the Near Infrared with it, definitely use the sunglasses to protect
your eyes.
And probably my number one holistic beauty tip is getting a good night's sleep the night
before.
And this is a good segue because I always get a good night's sleep when I sleep on my
Birch mattress.
So thank you Birch for sponsoring today's video.
You guys know how much I love my Birch mattress.
I have been sleeping on a Birch for a few years now.
And in my opinion, they are the best mattresses on the market.
They're extremely comfortable and they're also completely non-toxic.
I used to have their original Birch mattress and then I upgraded to the Birch Luxe.
And it's just made with organic cashmere, New Zealand wool, fair trade cotton, North
American steel springs, and natural latex.
And all their mattresses are made in the USA.
And these natural breathable materials will keep your body cool and comfortable at night.
The non-toxic latex relieves pressure points while the targeted zone lumbar support provides
enhanced contouring.
And one of the main reasons I love and recommend Birch so much is because they have so many
third party certifications and do so much testing to ensure that their mattresses are
free from things like formaldehyde, VOCs, heavy metals, pollutants, and more.
A lot of us don't realize that our conventional foam mattresses are off-gassing these things.
And we sleep on our mattresses every night, so this is something to think about.
But yeah, Birch is just the perfect non-toxic mattress to get your beauty sleep on.
And Birch ships your mattress straight to your door.
It just comes in a big box and you can just open it up and roll out the mattress and there
you go.
It's ready to sleep on.
And another awesome thing is they have a 100 night sleep trial, so you can test your mattress
out to ensure you're completely satisfied with it.
And if you aren't, you can return it for a full refund.
And their mattresses also come with a 25 year warranty.
So if you're interested in making the switch to a non-toxic mattress, you can click the
link in the description box or go to birchliving.com slash holistic habits to get $400 off your
mattress plus two free pillows.
But let's get back to getting ready.
Now moving on, I'm applying my vitamin C serum.
This is the Fit Glow Vita Active Serum.
It has vitamin C obviously, glutathione, licorice root, and other ingredients to help fade pigmentation.
So I use this to help with those pesky acne scars I've been dealing with for years.
And then under my eyes, I apply some of the Blue Beautifly Green Coffee Eye Moisturizer
and just gently pat that on.
It contains raw green coffee, organic argan oil, and hyaluronic acid.
So that just helps wake my eyes up in the morning.
And then I brush my eyebrows up because I not only have long hair on my head, but for
some reason my eyebrow hairs are long too.
And it's just kind of annoying, so I just brush them up.
And then once that vitamin C serum has soaked in for a few minutes, I apply a few pumps
of the Blue Beautifly Goji Berry Moisturizer.
And this contains hyaluronic acid, pomegranate seed oil, green tea seed oil.
It's just really rich in antioxidants.
And then I follow up with a few pumps of the Fit Glow Vita Shield Plum Hyaluronic Primer
in SPF 30.
I actually had to get my sister-in-law to buy this for me and send it up to Canada because
it's not available for Canadians to purchase.
So it was kind of an ordeal getting it, but I love it.
It's an amazing natural sunscreen.
It's made with zinc oxide and plum extract.
It doesn't leave a white cast.
It just kind of gives me a healthy glow.
And I never wear sunscreen on my body unless I'm on a beach midday because I believe we're
meant to have our bare skin exposed to the sun for vitamin D and other health benefits.
But I always protect my face and neck with some natural sunscreen because I just really
want to preserve that skin.
And don't forget the back of your hands too.
Now moving on to makeup, my everyday makeup routine is super, super minimal.
All the products I use are natural, clean beauty products.
I like to fill in my eyebrows a bit with the Plum Eyebrow Pencil in Ashy Daybreak.
This is the best clean beauty eyebrow product I have found.
It just matches me perfectly.
And then I just brush my eyebrows up again with their eyebrow gel in Ashy Daybreak.
And then I apply a couple dots of my Fit Glow Concealer Plus, which is the best clean beauty
concealer in the world.
If they ever discontinue this, I will cry.
It has so many great ingredients like green tea, licorice root, and vitamin K.
So it's basically like skincare, but also serves as makeup.
And I don't wear foundation every day.
I actually find that sometimes foundation makes my skin look worse.
I still do have leftover acne scarring on my temples and cheeks from like 10 years ago.
It's more of a texture thing.
And I feel foundation can kind of enhance that.
So I just keep my face bare other than concealer under my eyes.
And then to finish up my makeup, I applied my favorite clean beauty lip liner from none
other than Fit Glow, of course.
I usually use the shade Buff, but of course on the day of filming, I can't find it.
So I'm using the shade Nude today.
I love using lip liner that's a very similar color to my own lips.
I feel like it just makes you look a bit more polished, but you can't really tell you have
anything on.
And then I threw on a bit of the Fit Glow Lip Color Serum in Bliss, which has been my
holy grail clean beauty lip product for years.
It's packed with amazing ingredients and just leaves your lips feeling so conditioned.
But I'm kind of freaking out because I think they actually might have discontinued this
particular shade.
So I've just been scouring the internet trying to find it.
And then I just spray myself with some of this Pure Rose Rose Mist.
It's really great for the skin, but also gives me some aromatherapy.
It just smells so good.
Now moving on to the hair, I'm going to show you the hairstyle I've been doing
nonstop lately.
So first I part my bangs down the middle.
I recently switched from a side part to a middle part, and I feel like it's really upgraded
my life.
I wish I would have made this switch sooner.
Then I just brush my hair to the side and throw it into a side ponytail.
And I'm just going to bobby pin the bangs back.
And I know you're probably sick of me saying this, but I cannot wait for these stinking
bangs to grow out.
And now this is where the magic happens.
So I take my Topsy Tail tool, and I will link this down below because I believe everybody
needs this handy little tool and it's not very expensive.
So I just take a strand of my hair from the back and wrap it around the elastic to hide
the elastic.
And then I put my Topsy Tail tool in and just loop the hair through it and pull the tool
down through that elastic.
I hope I'm explaining this well, but I'm sure you can kind of at least see what I'm doing
here.
And then I just braid my hair.
And I recently cut off six and a half inches of hair, so I'm finding it a lot easier to
style and braid now.
And then I just puff the braid out to make it look a bit thicker.
And then I just do that same Topsy Tail technique to the bottom of my braid to help hide the
elastic.
And that is my current favorite hairstyle.
It's really simple, yet it looks really polished and it just kind of helps protect your hair
throughout the day.
Now I'm going to quickly change clothes.
I'm not going to lie, I pretty much wear active wear every single day.
So today I have this cropped sweater from Crop Shop Boutique, which I purchased off
someone from Poshmark.
And then I'm wearing these workout shorts.
I love the V-Waist because I find it just gives you a nice shape and kind of snatches
your waist in.
And I love wearing gold jewelry every day because I find it just makes any outfit look
a bit more polished.
So I hope you enjoyed getting ready with me this morning.
I love you guys so much.
