So we've been in Ho Chi Minh City for just about a month now and we realized we haven't even done
a video in the city's most famous tourist destination. So we're gonna start our day
with coffee right over there. So in a building full of cafes this store has broken the mold
and they've created this whole store full of these really fun very unique bags.
It's made from recycled coffee. What? I didn't know you could recycle coffee.
Like people's leftover sips of coffee? Probably ground coffee.
My brain went way too far on that. Leftover sips of coffee. You're like I contributed today. Yeah.
Oh my goodness that is cool though. It's so cool. It's solid too. Yeah and the inside is smooth but
the outside has like these grooves. What happens when you add water to it? Does it become coffee
again? It becomes a sips of coffee. But make it eco-friendly. So cute. That's very cute. Sturdy. Yeah.
Look at the zipper on top of everything. Just right for a bunny. I'm a big fan of trying new things out.
To me coffee is less sweet but I think you're gonna like it. Surprisingly today John was so hot when we
got here he got a tea and I got a coffee and once he cooled down he immediately regretted his decision
so he'll probably be having this and I'll have the tea. But you can't deny how cute this drink is.
Parasol and basil.
We just found out there is a Japan town right outside of the main tourist
area of district one. Unique and interesting things. I found fresh milk coffee with grass jelly
and basil seeds I believe. You can tell she's making these back to back to back all day long.
She just got the timing of the pours down just perfectly with the milk, the condensed milk,
the grass jelly, the ice, the coffee. Classic Vietnamese coffee taste. Not too strong though
but I got a lot of those um chia seeds so it's a true but I didn't get any jelly yet.
Oh there it is. Yeah I would recommend this one. Definitely come try this one out. It's so unique.
This is not, oh now we're stuck.
Dance to places that we don't want to be.
Outside. We thought we picked the right floor but I guess not. Let's try this again.
Oh no. What is this? Okay. Oh look outside. We can just go outside.
Do you have to scan it? We can't get out this exit unless we work here
but somehow we're in the building they need to scan into so we have to choose the floor.
Okay let's try four. Nope. How do you go anywhere? Are you going to the 4A or?
We're just trying to get out of the mall. Ah is that mall?
Okay. But then this is office building. Yeah that's the office building. How did we get in here?
Okay. Okay. The bus pull, bring up, come back. Okay. Okay. You will see the shopping mall entrance. Thank you.
As if we got lost in an elevator in a mall. That's what got us.
Oh my gosh that was so silly. Okay so if you're in the bottom basement floor food court of the mall
don't get in the elevator. That's like a secret passage into the office buildings that you
aren't able to exit without a passkey. Unless someone lovely lets you out. Everyone was willing
to help but it's really like a portal to nowhere. Yeah that was weird. And we're sitting on these tiny
type of chairs. We're gonna hand sanitize and then we're gonna get eating. And how cool that it was like two
years ago that we were here in Ho Chi Minh City last and that's when we saw these same ladies
making these same fresh rolls. But they've been here for at least two years in the very same spot
under the same tree in front of the very same mini stop. Such a fresh. You have the basil in there,
there's shrimp. I can't tell yet. And then there's of course some scallions as well, green onions.
And it's like the outside is a little firm still because of the but as soon as you dip it in it
just gets soft and just so refreshing. And it's still like hearty but not heavy. It's like the
perfect summer snack. I really like the sauce. It was fun watching her put it all together. I think
it's a peanut sauce. It's like a brown sauce but then she adds the chilies, she adds some like
crispies, some nuts I think in there. But wow what a fun like combination of flavors, spice, textures.
It's so good. It's so refreshing. I don't know why I'm cutting so many slices here.
So they also have chocolate, they have the original, they have a honey cheesecake,
various other desserts and matcha. We're gonna get the cuan which is caramel with black sticky
rice, jackfruit and boba. That's like everything we love. And then the other one I was thinking
about, something completely different, mangrove palm with yogurt. We're eating che. So this is a
sweet soup or dessert. So the literal translation is sweet soup. And how you eat it is you add ice
right into it because it's supposed to cool you down. You mix it all up so you can eat all the
different textures and flavors and ingredients together and enjoy. So it's our first time
trying this in Vietnam so we're very excited. It feels so wrong to mix it because it's so beautiful
but that's how you eat it. So that's the black sticky rice in there. It's like the perfect
bite. The rice is got such a lovely chew to it. You can get a little bit of the jackfruit flavor.
It's got a crunchy texture. The boba is beautiful and chewy and like the sweet soup is just
delicately sweet but just like the textures in your mouth and the flavors. It's like
everything's just really really light and refreshing. Right away just the flavor of that
sweet soup. Is it like a milk or what is it? It's like creamy. It looks and feels like milk but it's
really sweet, really creamy. So this one's different in the sense that it has the mangrove
palm in it. I was inspecting jackfruit. It wasn't in the description but there's jackfruit in it
and yogurt. Yeah so that's how it's different. You can already tell by the color. This one's like
white and creamy from the yogurt. The other one's turning like a milky type of color.
The textures and flavors work so well together. This one I wish there was like some passion fruit
or like strawberry or something tart to go in here. If you've never tried Jem, you have to.
And honestly come here for your first because the menu is huge. There's so many options and like
it's clearly very busy for a reason. So two thumbs up from me.
All right it's the end of another video. It's the end of another day.
