What to focus on when starting a business? Well, first of all, I wish you would have started one
at 18 years old and if you were really raised properly at four years old. So my kids started
their companies at four. If you are serious about making money, becoming a millionaire,
doing generational wealth, you're in the right place. So let's talk about three main things to
get you started. Number one, how do you get to revenue fast? Like I'm going to share some
techniques like today you could make money. Literally every one of you today could make
money if you were serious about it. Not thinking about it, serious about it. Number two, how do
you overcome the distractions? What do you need to stay focused on? What are your absolute key
points? I call it a revenue producing day that you need to be driving as the owner of a new startup
business. Number three, the power of focus, determination. I'm going to put in the words
discipline, persistence, and repetition. And there is where most small business beginning starting
business owners fail because they do it like as a part-time little side hustle. I'm not a fan of
side hustles. I want you to hustle. So number one, how do you stay focused and succeeding and how do
you get to revenue fast? Well, let's just cut to it. What are the revenue producing activities of
an entrepreneur of the day? Number one, you need to market. You need a lead that is interested in
what you're doing. What's the problem you're solving? What kind of business are you going to
do? And for those of you that this is your first business or first one of businesses, do something
that is easy. It's in your skill set. You don't have to learn it because you have enough to do
to learn to be a great entrepreneur, much less learn a new skill or new and learn a new thing.
It drives me crazy when people say, Oh, I'm going to go be a digital marketer. Do you know anything
about it? No. So you want to learn a whole new industry and learn to be an entrepreneur. It's
too much. And most people fail because they're doing that. So what do you already know how to do?
And take what you do. Let's put it in an entrepreneurial formula and foundation and let's
get out marketing. So you need a lead and you have to learn to sell. Right there are your two biggest
challenges because no one teaches entrepreneurial marketing or sales. No university, no entrepreneurial
school teaches it. Most entrepreneurial classes at universities are being taught by business
administration professors, not people who've actually owned their own companies. Now there
are a few that are actually bringing people like me in to be an adjunct professor and actually
teach real business because they've actually owned a real company, novel concept. And the biggest
thing you need to learn is cashflow. How and what do you pay when and how do you get your company
to pay for it all? So it's all deductions. So I know that was just a huge, big mouthful for a lot
of you, but I need you to get a revenue producing day for you to be successful requires revenue. And
if you're just busy all day writing a book, creating a masterclass, I love when COVID hit,
how many of you, oh my gosh, suckers, you literally spent $40,000 with somebody to build you an eight
week masterclass. And it was beautifully done, beautifully laid out, took you forever to get the
content done. So you felt productive, but guess what you missed all along? You didn't come out
here to the internet. You didn't come out and you didn't ask people to focus group with you.
You didn't ask people what they wanted of you. You didn't ask what the real problem was to solve.
So you pretty much built it in a vacuum. It looks fabulous, but you have no market. You have no
database. You have no ability to sell anybody that nice, lovely brochure class that's sitting
up on the internet. So sadly enough, you wasted $40,000. Now, is it recoverable? Absolutely. But
you got to get out here first. What I would have done is got you out talking on all social channels.
This is who I am. This is what I would say. I'm Laura. I'm a money expert. What's the one problem
I could solve for you today? Get out here and get some experience. What do people want? Get used to
being behind a camera. Talk to people. What do they want from you? And then put your offers together
based on what they say. Pricing is simple. Somebody's already doing what you want to do or
close enough. So you're going to marry up those pricing. And I'm a huge fan of you priced to the
market or higher if you are better. And if you don't price right from the beginning, you end up
in margin problems, meaning you have too many clients eventually and you didn't price enough
in to sub it out to somebody else. So now you have to do all the work or you have to raise your
prices on like the greatest run of your life. So just price great from the beginning as if you're
not going to do the work and you're going to sub the work. That is the best pricing model I've ever
told anyone. If you follow it, you'll win for the long haul. If you don't, you're going to have to
stop, reset, reprice, lose a bunch of clients because they don't want to pay your new rates.
You should have conditioned them from the front. Last thing, again, when you start a company,
there's two engines of the company. I mean, I just started calling in this. You got to get
incorporated because you cannot activate the deductions and have all these business deductions
without being incorporated. You cannot say a sole proprietor. Number two, you've got to get a
database. So two links. I want you to go to link and talk to one of our strategists about getting
incorporated and what company you need. And number two, I need to go to askrms.com and get our
system, get our process, exactly the one I'm using on you today and moving you here from a social
channel into my database is exactly what we'll do for you for $297. So those are the two engines.
Anything I ever start, I start those two things first and I get to revenue as fast as I can.
What are some of the other overcoming distractions and just things that you really need to watch for
is your environment. Your environment will always win. So if you start in a home office,
which is what I did, I started in a spare bedroom. And then as I had my son and he started
knocking on the door and saying, mama, mine, like then he was in my house. I mean, just,
it was too much. I moved out into an office and I've had an office ever since. I'm a huge fan of
brick and mortar. I like the team environment. I like to be together as a team, do team building,
all brainstorm together. If you haven't noticed the virtual stuff works. And unless you have a
very tight sequence, you can send somebody across the world, a request for an action because of the
time zone differences, you might get all your activity back in a day. You can get it all done
faster if you work together. So think about how you want to work, what's your best process to
work. I work better with people, not alone in a house. And the other problem, especially for you
women and you stay home moms who think you can do this on the side, you've got all sorts of
behavioral issues with your children you need to manage. So one thing I taught my kids early on
is to not interrupt, especially as a coach and being a facilitator on calls, they would come
up and they put their hand on my arm, which means they needed me. They would not yell and scream
and interrupt. So you're going to have a lot of behavior changes, moms and dads, if you work at
home, because you have to create that environment. You've got to create some work hours so you can
actually focus. You got to start the thinking time. I'm both. I work here at my office and I
work at home. You've got to put some environmental structures in place so you actually get your work
done and you're not just busy roaming around and then walking through your kitchen. No,
I got to do dishes. I think I'm gonna grab something to eat. I got to throw a little
laundry in. Am I talking to most of you? Probably. That's why you're not winning because you're not
intentional. And before I go on and continue the starting the company, I want you to subscribe to
my channel. Click the notification button. I want you here five days a week and I want all the people
in your world, if you are serious about making money and being a millionaire, you got to start
talking about it. You got to start bringing your team around you. Again, your environment will
always win. So if your environment is negative, it's like, oh, you can't start a business. You
can't do that. You can't do that. Atrophy those people out of your life. See, the last thing
you're really going to need is again, you're going to need that discipline, the determination,
consistency, and repetition. So let's just say you have a job. Now, if you want to go
up to my search bar at some point, not until I'm done with this video and search for how to quit
your job in 90 days, I have all sorts of cool videos about how to get out of your job. Cause
you're not going to quit right away and you don't have to replace your income. Those are not the
right tips, but if you have a job, you've got probably 40 to 60 hours over there. So how much
time are you really giving this? One of the first questions I ask people when they want to start a
company is how many hours are you going to be open a day? Because entrepreneurs that are full-time
want to work with entrepreneurs that are full-time. So if you can only get to my activity
on nights and the weekends, you may not be able to fulfill fast enough for an entrepreneur. So
then who's your team? How are you going to do your hours? I did it successfully. I jumped out
of Chevron in less than 30 days. I just went, I met Robert Kiyosaki, Sharon Lechter, and I was
gone, but I did have an extra opportunity. I still had to set it all up and organize it and do all
the things. Repetition is critical. If you do not get enough leads in the day, 21 leads a day and
two sales a day, you're going to have a rough time getting to revenue fast enough to be able to quit
your job. So to end, I'm going to give you one more gift called the Millionaire Intensive, where
you can come to our marketplace, learn how to do all of this, start your company that day. In less
than a few hours, you will start the company and in less than a few hours, you'll make money
guaranteed as long as you do everything I say. People just, I actually shot a video yesterday
for somebody who's like, why do some of your clients win and some lose? I said, because those
who win do the work and those who lose sit down and watch TV all day. Not difficult. It's just
different. If you have any questions, go to asktheworld.com and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
