Van life Challenge

Hey everyone, I just want to do an unexpected live to share with you an interesting challenge that I just faced. Let me hold my phone this way. So last week someone was asking me what is challenges that you normally face during van life and yesterday I just kind of stumbled upon an interesting challenge that I thought I would share. So hopefully you can hear me well because I'm in a coffee shop right now. So I had a meeting with my team yesterday and I needed to find a place with stable Wi-Fi so I decided to go to the coffee shop. So let me share with you the story. But then the coffee shop was like really packed like yesterday I guess because it was Sunday. But this place is realizing I happen to come back again today just so I can record and show you about the challenge I faced yesterday because I don't have Wi-Fi in my van right so whenever I want to do work or do something online I would have to rely on public Wi-Fi. So you know where I'm going with this what challenge it is right so it's not about finding Wi-Fi. Hello van life biker and so I looked up on Google and I found this place and it says it's a loud phone dine-in. Hi Ruby and I was like okay so I'm gonna come here and most coffee shop has Wi-Fi so I didn't think much about it right. So when I come here it was completely packed I was like oh my god like am I able to find a seat then there was only one seat available at that time. They do have public Wi-Fi but then they but the seating that was open is at an area that technology is not allowed. So they had Wi-Fi but I wasn't able to use my laptop in order to get onto the meeting and I talked to the manager. I don't know if the guy was the manager. Hi James so I was talking to one of the guy well he actually came to me and he said you're not allowed to use your laptop at this table because it's only reserved for people who come and go so you're not allowed to stay here and work. Who could have known right like I anticipated that if I come to the coffee shop normally I can just use like a laptop because this is how I normally work this is how I normally go get Wi-Fi typically and because I enjoy the coffee as well and I like to have my treat when I work so it's more relaxing and my meeting was like at 3 p.m yesterday and he was like you cannot use your laptop until 4 p.m and I was like I actually have a meeting so it's not like any different than sit here and chat and like with people in person but it's like even if you just meet people online you're still not allowed to use technology whatsoever and this is actually a really nice nice place they have like outlets and all that stuff for plug-in so you can actually charge your phone charge your laptop and just stay at work it was just like absolutely packed yesterday so I thought that was like an interesting so I thought thank you manlifebiker so I thought that was really interesting to stumble upon challenges like this because like you never know what's going to happen I know you cannot use technology after 4 p.m I guess because it's still rush hour so it's really crowded it's actually a really nice coffee shop though let me show you around now let me turn around so you can see and this is in I am actually in Kingston right now and let me show you that they even have outlets like this so you can even like I can charge my computer and USB outlet so so yeah it's like an ideal place for a nomad like to come and work and get wi-fi right so typically I really like going to places like this and I absolutely endorse places like this because it helps me to be able to like sit down and work and I don't have to worry about my laptop run out of power or anything like that it was just it was just really funny like to stumble upon a challenge like that and so but I was able to use my phone for the meeting and yeah so it's really unpredictable with van life like sometimes you cannot just anticipate everything and plan everything ahead of time and it just just kind of happen and you just kind of have to roll with it and be creative with problem solving so yeah I thought that was an interesting challenge and I thought I would just share that since someone asked about it last week in my live and so I was like I'm just gonna happen to be here come back here because this is a nice coffee shop they have nice pastry and everything so okay I'm gonna get back to work thank you so much for joining me on this live guys and I will catch you next time hopefully you enjoy this little impromptu challenge from me okay bye guys
