Am I high again? Have you ever said that? Am I high again? Am I low again? I'm going to give you
the tip on how not to do this. This is a perfect example. It happens all the time. Don't let it
frustrate you if you're at a tournament for the first time and you're just like what in the heck
is happening because guess what it is so easy to move something and just like this this was a
dead-on 60 shot and I'm going to show you what happens to people all the time and I'm going to
show you the easiest way to fix it and this is a perfect target for it because when this is
happening just wait until you have a perfectly nice flat target like this and I'm going to tell
you just what to do so here's a perfect case brand new target and guess what let's say I've
been high three targets in a row the hard part about this is when you're new and you go to a
tournament and the practice range is on all these you know uphills or downhills it's hard to really
know where your zero is so here's what I'm going to tell you when you have a target that's flat
just like this come up to the target just tell your group hey guys let me just get my stuff
straight again and here's what I would do put a piece of gum in my mouth take that high arrow out
and I'm going to give myself something to aim at boom right there give yourself something to aim at
and go to a distance that is absolutely bang on you're flat we're in a nice calm area the group's
patient they want you to do well too unless you're with most of my friends then they want you to
shoot like crap but here's what I'm gonna do come right here that's a little bit too far 20 yards
to the t20.0 so I'm going to put my sight on 20.0 I'm going to aim at that paper
your group's going to be patient with you they want you to do well so that arrow is in a bad
angle I know that so okay look at that I'm a little bit high top of that paper so what I'm
going to do is I'm going to move my sight up a little bit more move my sight up a little bit more
okay and make sure you're making good shots tell everyone hey just let me reset for a minute give
me a minute people don't want you struggling out here so then there we go there was what I took
two yards off and oh I'm still just a touch high okay I'm over the top of that hole I'm aiming at
so guess what I'm gonna give it a little bit more look gonna go right there I'm gonna do one more
come on down so I was aiming right on that other shaft right there so you can see high moved it
high again and then here I am right back so I'm going to probably move it about a half yard back
down so I'm going to go right there guys and now that I've got my zero again now what I need to do
is you're going to move your indicator needle to where your point on so loosen this move that
needle back to your home base move it back to your 20 right there snug that guy down just like that
and dudes that's all you have to do because here's how easy this is someone grabs your string moves
your peep down even two millimeters guess what you're going to be two yards off that comes down
then you're going to hit low okay if someone slid that up same thing if all of a sudden your serving
starts to slip from the heat and that starts to move up you're going to start impacting low
so by just moving your indicator new needle you're getting your zero back on so you're going
to go back to zero and then once you do that oh at a distance that you're comfortable with
and if you do it at 20 it's going to be pretty safe then go back to your further distance if
you have the time you're not holding up the range go back to the further distance and give it a go
and see if now you're back on track and if you're back on track then it's free
flying down the range at that point let's see go back right there
was a little skosh left too beat might just do that just because and he's back that's all you
got to do that indicator needle is such an awesome thing on any movable site that has that feature
if you get to a new event if you get to different elevation it's easy to mess up highs and lows
things can shift sometimes embrace that don't re sweat don't sweat it just re zero get to a
flat distance know the distance know you're making a great shot no outside variables
wins or hecklers re get your zero get your game back
