All right, welcome back to another adventure. Pretty sure I'm on public land
and hopefully no sheriff will call me and think that my car is abandoned. Also,
20 subscriber special, so I'm actually going to spend the night tonight, I think at least.
Let's get going. Like I said, the goal tonight is to actually spend the night out and
not chicken out, so this is the road I'm trying to follow right here.
Not really a road anymore. Got trees growing right in the center of it,
but it should be pretty straightforward. Looks like it might clear up a little bit ahead,
so it should make for a little bit easier of a hike. All right, guys, we got our first
set of kind of cool tracks here. It could be a wolf, so here's the first one right here.
Can't really tell what it is. Here's another one. This is what makes me think potentially a wolf.
That looks like a dog print. Pretty big. I mean, I don't have super large hands, but
that's as big as my hand. Bear walking on its two front legs. Guess we'll find out if
I get eaten by it. I don't know. I don't think there's going to be a very good water source
for me, so I'm probably going to have to melt a bunch of snow. A little bit of a marsh right here.
This might be a good spot to set up some camp if there's some water. Make sure I don't fall in.
I hear ice cracking underneath me. All right, I think this is the place where I'm going to make
camp. A little bit of a clearing, not a whole bunch of underbrush. There's a bunch of dead
standing trees, so plenty of firewood. Instead of investing my money in bear spray,
new saw. All right, first victim right here. We got dry wood, baby. Nice and hard.
All right, that should be enough firewood. All right, guys, welcome to Cooking with Barry. For
tonight's meal, I've got some baked potatoes, which are already in the fire. They've been in
there for about a half hour. Mystery meat. I have a little sweet apple pie looking thing
and some tinfoil. I'll heat up for dessert. I'm going to add some butter. Mystery meat here.
Two, three, four. Check on our baked potato. Yep, baked potato still needs bacon. While I'm
waiting for those baked potatoes to cook, I thought I'd try some of this. Definitely overcooked it a
little bit, but very good. Baked potatoes are finally done. I was also lazy. I got some
chicken and dumplings. After I ate all this, it'll be time to go to bed.
Fire's gone out. Ate my food. People are going to try and get some sleep and hopefully I don't
get shot. I survived the night. It was pretty cold. That hammock that I have is definitely
not meant for below freezing. So it was a little chilly this morning, but got a fire started. And
on the plus side, I didn't get mag dumped by a bunch of rednecks. Big and bakey with little
pieces of wood and moss in it. Bacon's definitely not cooked all the way, but oh well.
Camp is all cleaned up. Put out the fire, packed my bag, and I'm heading out of here. Thank you
guys for watching. There's more to come. Hopefully more in the summertime for sure,
and I'll see you guys next time.
