ELLIE CARPENTER Chelsea back on track eyeing Asian Cup glory at historic Matildas home tournament

I think the league here is so strong, so competitive. Any team can win. You can see that week in, week out. There's amazing players in every team and yeah for me here I'm just you know wanting to keep getting better and keep being the best version of myself. Chelsea's Champions League and FA Cup dreams are still alive and kicking. What is the kind of process now going into that for the next few weeks? Yeah I think for us training is really important and every game from now to the end of season is like a final for us and we know that. It's very important not to drop any more points in the WSL and obviously we have a big task in the quarterfinal of Champions League but also exciting games and we have Men United next weekend in FA Cup so hopefully we can continue our streak. And of course the Women's Asian Cup is coming up in Australia on home soil. How does it feel to have another tournament back home? Yeah honestly so excited. I haven't really thought about it too much but yeah having another major tournament on home soil it's like a dream and I'm just excited to play in front of our amazing fans again. Anything else that you're excited for for the tournament? Playing in front of my family I think and just getting back with the girls and you know it's really important for us so obviously World Cup qualifiers and hopefully we can lift that trophy as well. Well thank you so much today and congratulations on the win. Thank you. Thank you.
