When thinking of Bangkok everyone should definitely visit Trinidad at least once—not just to snap a photo in front of a row of dazzling neon signs but what I often see on news websites is enjoying delicious dishes stretching along the old road Hằng Hà has countless restaurants featured on the Michelin Guide' s recommendations drawing countless visitors to the area every day In this video I'll take you on a food tour to sample some of my favorite dishes here—let's go Hello everyone it's already 5 PM And today we're heading out to explore the delicious food streets of Chinatown Now I'm going to the bathroom here I am right here He's all set so let's get going now Here's the shuttle ahead everyone This is the hotel's shuttle vehicle He’ll take me straight to Chinatown traveling with two other guests from the same hotel and the car has four seats The good thing is if we're wandering around with four or five people splitting up works out fine But if it's just one or two people they'd just squeeze in during the afternoon huddled together like that Or if you don't know the going rate and aren't attentive to pricing you're easily subject to being overcharged —these two guys are for a vehicle like this today huh The afternoon trek to Rapkha is definitely 1km It'll take about half an hour to get there We're already here in Chinatown folks— Look I can already see those famous shops we've heard so much about They'll take me to the heart of Chinatown—the always-bustling food street Oh my gosh flooring it just makes me slam into the seat immediately There's way too much traffic up ahead Let everyone get moving now Only a few narrow lanes for bicycles or motorbikes can squeeze through but the main road for cars gets completely stuck forcing vehicles to just stand there Wait until the car ahead moves before we can proceed There are many signs with capital letters That's Chinatown We're almost there I'm not sure whether to get off right here or wait a bit longer—I can see the driver is still moving forward I was released right at the start of Chinatown The first item on my list was right in front of me The first snack I ever had was glutinous rice cake dipped in sauce everyone This one seems to be pandan sauce to me There's another white one that's way too milky But it's probably been reformulated by now This shop is run by a 2019–2018 major Also soft or chewy texture at all The grip feels very hot and crispy And here's the sauce This green color is probably pandan Trying two It's fragrant incredibly fragrant and rich too— you can really taste the richness on your tongue It's already quite sweet True it's a bit sweet But I think it needs to be sweet for it to go better with this dish If I eat less sweet I'll dip a bit less otherwise if you and eat first In Chinatown food carts like these start selling around 4 or 5 in the afternoon These little pineapples here I bought them at the supermarket yesterday Last night when I got home I ate one It was incredibly sweet It's tangy and sweet kind of like that The jar of pickling isn't salty pickling It's sugar pickling There's more sugar than salt It's delicious even if you don' t eat it with anything else The place we want to eat is just nearby right I'm on my way there now If you're coming from other areas and want to head to Chinatown in the afternoon without getting stuck in traffic take the subway The train station you're heading to Chinatown is the Gough Street station it's a quiet place with simple peaceful dining options No one was picking up discarded books like outside People sat along both sides of the road One two three Where are they Wait the shop’s gone for good You’ve retired already Wait where did it disappear to Looks like she's cleared the stall This is the dish I wanted to try It looks like a thick brown soup And there's one topping I always really like Could I really be that stubborn It's been two years since I last came back And I still can't shut down too This street has too many shops closed down When you look at it all together it's like raising a family But we're not raising it you know It'll be long like that Then we'll serve it with meat There'll be pork belly too It's simple that's all This bowl costs sixty cents I just moved my seat the light over there was too bright Try the noodle soup it's delicious Soft and smooth every crispy I'm so lost like this Actually my shop is right here on this street—thought it would be quiet but it's not it's still busy Every street big or small is packed with shops and vendors It looks like there's a university nearby here and I can see some students Living around here for so long Hey come over here This is the place we're eating at It's called Melted suede is more accurate And what scoop of ice cream on top as well And the special thing is they bring the ice cream straight to their table and with the weight of that scoop everything overflows and it's just This section is quite large too This is mint chocolate ice cream On this side is coffee ice cream Everyone Buy one get one free — these two pills here — the cream on top is strong and yellow almost like conut cream — only 300 baht — I'll enjoy this part firs They finished eating and immediately left It's very fragrant Or maybe rich Just the right amount of sweetness Yet why can't I taste the banana at all Here's the nectarine banana right here They leave the banana in whole pieces That's when they slice it into rounds If you're someone who loves rich sweet things like me then you 'll definitely love this—especially the caramel layer on top It was reinforced to make it crisp It's incredibly crispy yet pleasantly sweet without being overly sweet—just a hint of mint ice cream Peppermint chocolate It has a mild sweetness not overly sweet with a subtle minty aroma though personally I'm not a fan of mint But I'm still okay with this type of cream It's very rich Extremely rich This is the coffee ice cream right It's like coffee with just a tiny bit of milk folks— the sweetness is barely there at all I feel like I'm leaning more toward That's not how coffee is supposed to be Coffee should be like coffee with fresh milk Sipping that fresh milk coffee It won't be overly sweet For those who love drinking coffee this is for you It has a slightly salty taste too I like the peppermint chocolate ice cream Besides this cake doesn't have — the ice cream on top of the cake That's vanilla ice cream everyone—no conut—slightly sweet with a richness similar to mint chocolate chip I noticed it has a layer—kind of a powdery granular texture—don't know what it is exactly Soft and slightly crunchy I don't know what it is— definitely not peanuts Mixing them together is actually quite good Definitely
