What's up guys? Welcome back to my channel. I'm really excited about today's video because we
will be covering seven styling tips for petite girls. So I will be sharing good examples and
some bad examples of all of these styling tips. Of course, this is my opinion, but I am petite.
I'm right at five foot zero. I barely made it out of the four foot range. So I'll just be covering
what I learned when it comes to styling for my petite frame. And if anyone doesn't know,
petite starts at five foot four inches and under. So for all my petite girls out there,
I hope you find this video very helpful for you guys when it comes to shopping,
when it comes to styling your body in the proper way. Some of these tips you may have heard of,
but I do have some other tips and tricks here that you probably haven't heard of. So definitely
stick to the end of this video. I have seven really good tips for you guys. I am five foot
zero, so I've learned to kind of figure out how to style my body, how to make myself appear a
bit taller, make sure I find clothing that flatters my body as well. So if you do enjoy

pretty much every single day. And with that, let's go ahead and get into the video. So my first
styling trick for all my petite girls out there, this is the most common one. And we're just going
to start with this one just so we can get it out of the way, but it is to tuck in your shirt. So my
favorite way to tuck in a shirt is do the full tuck all over. I think this gives it a really classy
and sophisticated look, and it also definitely 100% makes your legs look longer, definitely
defines your waist much better too. You don't have to do the full tuck. You can always do just a front
tuck or even a side tuck as well. Those look great. Also tucking in your shirt and then adding a belt
really does make your legs appear longer, and then it shows off your waist more. So definitely
consider wearing a belt. The second styling tip is to avoid bulky clothes. So I know bulky sweaters and chunky
knit clothing and baggy jeans are very in style right now, but it does overwhelm a petite frame,
especially if you're right at five foot where I am. You could probably get away with it if you're
right at five foot four or three, but when you're below that it does really overwhelm the body. When
you're petite, most of the time petite girls try to steer away from looking like a 12 year old.
When you wear clothes that are bulky and chunky, it looks like you kind of took your mom's clothing
and put it on and it doesn't really fit you. So stick to clothing that is more slim fitted, more
tailored to your body shape. If you really do want to wear something chunky and with a thick knit,
make sure all the other parts of your outfit are more slim, more tighter fitting. So if you're
going to wear a chunky sweater, make sure you wear skinny jeans with that and then some slim
looking shoes. So no bulky shoes or anything like that. So if you are thinking about wearing
something bulky, just make sure that it's only one part of your outfit and the rest of it is more
slim fitted, because again it does overwhelm a petite frame. So the third styling tip is high-waisted
jeans. And yes, we all know that high-waisted jeans make your legs look so long, but if they
are too high-waisted, then your torso is going to look really small. With petite figures, I mean
everything is pretty much shorter. So your arms are shorter, your torso, your legs, so everything.
Some petite figures may have longer looking legs and a shorter torso or some petite figures have
a longer torso and shorter legs, so just kind of where your body is proportioned. I personally
think if jeans are too high-waisted, it will make the top part of your body very shrunken looking
and it's not really a good look in my opinion. So a way I try to avoid that is usually getting
mid-rise jeans, because mid-rise jeans for petite figures usually are high-waisted. Consider trying
mid-rise jeans or when you are looking for high-waisted jeans, just make sure they're purchased
at the petite section, because that will account for a shorter torso, so it won't be as high up.
If you get high-waisted jeans in like a regular, it's going to hit you way up there and it's going
to make your torso appear really small, especially if you tuck in your shirt with really high-waisted
jeans. It kind of gives off like super long legs, but then a really short torso, which you want
balance. So when it comes to styling your figure, you don't want anything being too long or too short,
so you kind of want balance. I understand petite girls really want to make their legs look long
and just appear longer, but you don't want to sacrifice in other parts of your body and make
those parts look shorter. Consider trying on mid-rise jeans, because mid-rise jeans will
still give a petite figure a high-waisted jean look. Or when you are shopping for high-waisted
jeans, just be really careful. Make sure they're not like the ultra high-rise. Just make sure they're
like a regular high-rise jean. Just be careful. Make sure all the proportions of your body are
looking good. So now we are on to tip number four, which is expose your ankles. Guys, I don't know
what it is, but ankles just look really good. Having your jeans or pants about an inch above
your ankle really does appear that you have longer-looking legs, especially if you wear like
a mid-rise or a high-waisted jean. It does give a very chic and classic stylish look as well. It's
more updated. It's more modern-looking. Also, I'll show some good and bad examples here. So a good
example is right an inch above your ankle, and I think this looks flattering on any height, in my
opinion. I think it's just a really stylish and classy look. So just an inch above your ankle
here, and then jeans that are a little bit too long. So I mean, you could really wear either way
however you like. If you like it covering your ankle, you could totally do that, but I personally
think this looks better just because it looks more updated, more fresh, more classy, more chic.
Again, it's your personal style. Do what you like, but I think this specifically looks very flattering
for petite frames, really actually any body height in general. Petite styling tip number five. You
probably might not have heard of this. This one might be a little bit of personal opinion, but it
is to avoid coats going past your knees. You would think this would give you the illusion of a taller
looking frame, so a long coat really elongates the body, but I actually think it does the opposite. I
think it makes a petite frame look shorter. One, if it's a really long coat, it overwhelms the body.
It makes it look like you're wearing your mother's coat. You look more like a 12 year old, in my
opinion. It does look chic and classy, in my opinion, when you have a long coat. Definitely gives off a
chic, sophisticated looking vibe, but for a petite frame, it overwhelms the body. So you want to look
for coats that go above the knees. So I'll show some examples here. So coats above the knee, and
then coats that are below the knee. So I'm just looking at the two examples. The coats that are
below the knee kind of makes you look more shorter, and it overwhelms the body. And then versus here,
when you expose more leg, it appears more longer. In my opinion, try to stick to coats that go above
the knee versus below. So now we're on to petite style number six. So when it comes to purchasing
clothing with prints on them, look for prints that are small and very dainty versus very large and
bold prints. This kind of relates back to when we were talking about coats and baggy things.
If you wear something large and very loud, it is very overwhelming to the body. It is very distracting,
especially on a small figure. I have found that when it comes to dressing a petite frame,
it's best to stick to solid colors. I know it gets boring after a while sticking to solid colors, so
definitely enjoy prints. I think there's a lot of beautiful prints out there. Something to consider
when you're looking for prints. You can still have fun and dress up and wear all these beautiful
prints. Just make sure they're on the smallest. Onto my final styling tip, which has to do with
bags. So when it comes to purchasing a handbag and you have a small frame, definitely opt for a small
medium bag versus very large bags. So just like I've been talking, anything large, anything big,
anything bulky really overwhelms the petite frame. It looks very busy. It looks very distracting. And
honestly guys, when I would wear, like I have really large bags. I mean, I'm a mom. I have a
huge bag where I keep all my mom's stuff in there. People always comment saying, oh my gosh, that bag
is so big. You can like literally fit in it. And I mean, it's totally funny when they say that
because I'm like, yeah, I'm small. I can fit in a lot of things. Again, it is very busy and distracting.
So stick to handbags that are smaller, a little bit more dainty looking. And I've noticed that
when you have a smaller to medium size handbag, it gives off a more chic, classy, and stylish look.
So definitely consider opting for a small medium version of a bag versus a very large one.
Because like we've been saying in this entire video, it definitely overwhelms a petite frame.
I think it's perfectly fine to own a large bag, especially if you're a mom and you have so much
stuff you have to carry. I mean, I know firsthand that when you're a mom, you bring your whole house
with you every time you leave. It's like there's a diaper bag and then there's your personal bag.
I always still carry a smaller bag with me. So inside a big bag, I'll just have a tiny little bag.
So I'll keep my big bag stored away somewhere safe. And then I'll just carry my smaller bag
out and about. Hopefully you guys found that helpful. Let me know what you think in the comments
section down below. That concludes today's video. Thank you so much for watching. I hope this was
