TheCollectorOfFirepo 300美元的槍能擊中一英里外的目標嗎

Hit!
F**k yeah!
Woo!
Holy s**t!
I am fortunate to have some of the most incredible rifles available on the market.
Rifles for military use, tactical use, antiques, extreme long range shooting, and more.
But it got me thinking, is it possible to do some serious long range shooting with a
true budget rifle?
I went to Murdoch's, a nearby big box store, for western goods like tools, feed, clothing,
and yes, guns.
I walked up to the counter and said to the guy, I want to buy the cheapest rifle on the
shelf along with the cheapest scope.
Then we came out to the ranch, where I have targets set up at varying distances, 100 yards
up to a mile.
Each target, starting at 500 yards, has a light up sensor to give you feedback when
you hit the target.
Plus I got these sick cameras to mount onto the rifle scope so you can see what I am seeing.
Now this gun is chambered at .243, so we're going to have our work cut out for us on the
long range side.
The round was originally developed as a varmint small game round, but with the right ammo
and conditions, I think we can at least get 1,000 yards.
Is this the best budget gun for long range shooting?
What about hunting?
Stay tuned and let's find out together.
Hey guys, welcome to my basement.
I'm down here at the gun range trying to mount a scope on a gun I just bought.
To give you a little bit of backstory on this, last month me and Chad were at the ranch and
he never shot a model before.
I said, well let's do it now.
So we grabbed my gun that I usually use, my .338 Lapua, and he hit it on the second shot,
people.
He actually got it on a bullseye.
I walked him into that, don't let him tell you any different, and we were talking, man
that was just like way too easy.
We need to find some kind of gun that doesn't make it easy to reach out to a model.
So we went shopping, went into Murdoch's, that's where I get my deer food, dog food
for the dogs.
I went in there and asked, what is the cheapest long range rifle you may have, either hunting
or just whatever, and he says, I have Savage, Axis, and .243 Win, and I said, .243 Win?
And he says, yeah.
And I said, well I've never heard of that one.
I seriously have not guys, because I don't really hunt.
I said, yeah let's try it.
So I paid, I think, $330 for the gun, and I said, okay, what's the cheapest optic you
got?
He says, I got this new Iron Peak from Vortex, it's 412x44, and I said, hell with it, let's
try it.
So we're mounting that scope on now, and we're going to see if we can get to 1,000.
I read up on it a little bit, and they say you can get to 1,000.
I mean people are hunting, using this round for shooting prairie dogs, deer, I guess even
elk.
So we're going to find out.
I'm going to put this scope on today, we'll run out to the ranch, and we're going to see
if we can do it.
The long range is kind of my passion.
I want to see what this thing gun can do.
I think it will get 1,000 for sure, but we're going to try to hit a 4x8 sheet, which guys
I know is the size of a car practically, at a mile, and we're going to see if we can do
it.
If we hit, I'll be happy if we hit any part of the 4x8 sheet, especially if the wind's
blowing.
We got windsocks out there to tell us where the wind's going to be at.
I'm just curious.
So we're going to mount this up, take it out to the ranch, get it zeroed, and see how she
does.
The ranch is my getaway, my vacation spot, my club.
That's what it is.
I mean, you go out there and you forget about everything, anything bad.
It's 1,000 acres, it has a lot of valleys in it, it has big ravines in it.
Hunting cabin was there, which was kind of cool.
It's pretty cute.
There was no road access to there.
So we built new roads, we built the berms, we got the targets up, we put a camper on
site.
We've done a variety of things to make it even better.
I've been in the automobile business for over 20, 25 years, give or take, and it was rough.
If you would have told myself 20 years ago, I'd be doing what I'm doing now with the
ranch and having what I have, nah, that would be bullshit.
You ain't getting that.
There's no way in hell.
You know, and that's why I call it the pinch me moment.
It's my big sandbox for the kid in me.
Okay, guys, let me introduce you to my mile gun, Accuracy International.
It's got a nice SOCOM SureFire 338 Lapua can.
This is my dedicated mile gun.
I do have a couple others that are mile guns, but I enjoy this one the best.
This is going to give us a baseline with this gun to see a new round that we got, the .243
is going to be able to do.
To give you an example, that's a .338 Lapua.
That is a .243.
So it's going to be pushing it to get it at a mile, but I think we can get it at 1,000
for sure.
Let me get the...
I got to get everything ready.
Just so that you guys know, I have bought two of these.
I learned them from a buddy of mine who sells me targets.
It's called the Trigger Cam.
They're made out in South Africa, and it's pretty badass.
You hook it up to your phone, it has its own Wi-Fi, and basically you record your shots
where they land.
I mean, you can use these for hunting as well.
It's pretty badass.
That's how we're able to video where the hits are.
So we found out while shooting it and testing it out that the recoil makes it jump a little
bit, so sometimes you don't see the impact.
So we put it on this gun so it's stationary, so you can see the impact with that gun.
Wind's decent.
Probably have to hold it over.
It seems like 100 feet away from the target, from the wind, but we're going to see what
happens.
That was a miss.
It's okay.
I have an idea where I missed.
Okay, you ready?
Hit.
She's a-blinking.
Let's go, baby.
Two shots.
Bang.
Can't beat that.
It's a hit.
Can we send another just for a shake and giggle?
Aw.
Safety.
Dumbass.
Hit.
Boom, baby.
Two to three.
Yep.
One more time?
Or not?
No.
Damn it.
Now time for the two, four, three at 1,000.
That's going to be fun.
Okay, guys.
We're going to shoot at 100 first, and then we'll probably go to 600 after that.
Boom.
100 yards.
Piece of cake.
Now this is going to get sketchy.
Should we go to 200 first?
Nah.
Let's go to 600.
All right.
600 yards.
Let's go.
That was low right.
Low right.
Ooh, that was really close low right.
Oh, hit.
Nice.
All right.
Three shots to hit at 600.
Yep.
It's not bad.
Not bad.
Okay.
We're going to go for 1,000 now?
They're like 800 or 900.
That's too easy.
Let's go for 1,000.
Straight back from my barrel.
There's 1,000 yards far left.
Okay.
Let's see if I can get it down there.
Safety.
Hit.
Woo.
What the heck, dude?
Holy ****.
Let's do it again.
I was aiming if I was a bet above the berm.
****.
20 yards.
Try it again.
Low.
Wind changed.
Hit.
Boom.
I aimed a little higher, a little bit to the left just for the wind, but I banged it.
That was badass.
We're going to go further?
**** yeah, we're going to go further.
We have 1,250 or we go to mile.
Let's try 1,250.
I'm a little concerned about 1,250.
The windsock is down.
It's very limp.
I don't know, but that could change fairly quickly.
I'm hoping to do it in three shots.
This is going to be nuts.
****.
I didn't see anything.
My gun moved on me.
I didn't have it holding up.
That's my fault.
I pulled it anyway.
Short.
A little bit.
Oh, it's close.
Okay, I saw a little splash on that one.
I'm close.
It was to the right.
It's a bit short.
Scope bite.
Oh, I saw that one hit, though, about 5 o'clock.
Right now, I don't even see the target.
I'm not shooting that far up.
Hit.
**** yeah.
Holy ****.
I could not even see the target I was shooting at.
I started with the edge of the target to the left and just brought the crosshairs up so
I knew I was somewhat in line and that the wind was moving, so I tried to adjust for
that.
And I couldn't see the top of the target and the scope at all.
And that freaking hit.
4 o'clock is where it hit.
I mean, granted, that's a 4x8 sheet of AR500.
I mean, it's the size of a small car, maybe a Volkswagen.
But that's a hard little shot with that little guy.
Thank God we didn't have much wind.
If we did have wind, we'd probably be out here all damn day.
But that's fun.
That was fun.
Yeah, 1250.
I mean, a mile, we need a little bit more ammo for that.
I think we're going to go a lot of ammo.
I wouldn't even see the target.
And I need a third person to spot it.
Just so you know, on the trigger cam, it's at 26.
I mean, it's zoomed in quite a bit.
That one is at 12.
So that gives you an idea of how far...
I mean, I can't see crap.
I mean, see the splash when I aimed right up?
That was pure luck for me to see that splash.
Thank God it was in the bunker.
That was badass, guys.
Now, I kind of want to go down there to the target to see where we actually hit up close.
So to give you a point of reference where we're shooting from,
it's going to be hard to see.
You'll see a race car trailer to the left.
But up there to the right, you'll see basically where we were shooting from.
It's kind of a new dirt.
It's going to be hard to tell.
But that's the distance we were shooting from here to 1250.
Now, I didn't see this target at all when I aimed for it.
And granted, I could be at it all day and work it in and be more accurate on one of the targets.
I'm just happy I hit something with it.
The gun, oh, it's worth it.
I think the gun's worth it for $300.
The trigger was actually decent.
It's a two-stage trigger.
My eyes are a little bit more open because I'm usually buying guns that are much more expensive.
Pretty impressed.
For somebody, average shooter, that wanted to get in the long distance and try it out
and maybe not go for the long distance like we did, maybe 500, 600, maybe 1,000,
it's a great little buy for what you get.
Now, if you're going to get a gun with this price tag on it
and maybe a little bit more expensive scope or the same scope, 6.5,
you're going to have a lot of fun in long distance.
I mean, I'm very, very fortunate.
I mean, I can't express that enough.
Very, very lucky to have something like this to come out and go play and hang out in my big giant sandbox.
Let me know what you guys think of the video.
We put a lot of shitload of time, effort, money into it.
We used a different camera.
We want to get your comments below and see what you guys think.
Do you guys want more videos with this kind of camera?
Make a comment and let me know, please.
Take care.
