Welcome back Romantic Home family and welcome if y'all are new and welcome into another episode of my I love spring series in today's video It is all about the bunnies and the bows and the fun Easter spring florals. So if y'all are new, welcome I'm Olivia from Olivia's Romantic Home. I'm a DIY crafty mama I think I have paint all over my hands too, but listen I love to share with y'all how you can have a boutique gorgeous home on a budget And I truly believe you do not have to break the bank to have a fabulous amazing home So without further ado, let's go ahead and plug in those glue guns get out your glitter and paint and let's get to crafty For the first DIY, I want to show you guys how to create a really beautiful Spring Easter floral so starting out this little pedestal bowl I had found this at the thrift store painted it white and then add in some foam Then I'm taking some of this beautiful greenery that one of you all sent to me And I'm simply going to pop it into the base of my floral Now really what you want to do with any floral is start out with your greenery base Here's how it's looking and it looks a little bit crazy. So bear with me. I also have this beautiful Spring floral garland, and I'm just gonna cut it apart So it doesn't necessarily have to be picks you can cut apart some garlands to really get your greenery base down I'm challenging myself to use what I already have which I think is great because I have a lot super blessed So anyway, I'm gonna add some of that spring garland kind of in and around the center part now and have it kind of lay over some of that Darker greenery garland. I picked in some more greenery and then I started in with my florals So for my florals, I want to use cherry blossoms in the center I had three stems of cherry blossoms that I kind of added to the center Once I had those done I kind of gave it a look and then I decided to go ahead and add in one more Stem, there we go of that cherry blossom right there in the center. Okay, here's how it is looking so far Now I'm gonna go ahead and start picking in some of the more coordinating colors So we've got this pale pink and then we have the hot pink and pale pink I was not really for sure that I wanted to add in the hot pink But I kind of like the vibrancy and the dimension I have a lot of these color of roses out in my garden So it just really makes me feel like spring and summer when I see that color of rose So I went ahead and added that and then I'm gonna go ahead and add in some of these tulips Now on my Facebook page I shared with you all an inspiration picture of how I kind of want my mantle to look and had you all vote on the different Inspiration pictures. So if you guys haven't seen that go check that out. It's my love these are made to come DIY Facebook page There's a lot of fun votes and you guys had a lot of great ideas But I love these tulips just kind of picked in there It'd be nice to if I would have had some pink ones, but that's okay now on the next video I do want to do a mantle garland some bows some fun things and just really jazz up my mantle I'm adding in just some more pretty pink florals I'm giving these florals a lot of room to breathe keeping that greenery in there And I did go back in and off-camera I did trim off a little bit of the longer greenery and kind of pop that in to the center part of Where all the florals are at if that makes sense just to kind of fill things in I'm also gonna add in a little bit more hot pink down below But just get really creative with your florals and have fun with it. I love spring you guys spring is my color You know start out with Valentine's Day pink and now we've got the spring colors Here is the final look I just now noticed that that there was a blue egg popped in there Should I put that in there or take it out? I don't I kind of like the wildness of how this turned out I think it's really beautiful and I'm planning to put this inside my home on my mantle right now You're seeing it out in my crafting studio And I'm gonna share with you guys more about how we're gonna do our mantle on our next video Thank you all so so much too for all of the love that you always leave in the comment section below I read so many of your comments and you know I'm just a mama with a glue gun and it really just makes my heart sparkle and shine So for the next DIY, I'm gonna take these Baskets that have seen better days. Let me tell you guys these baskets almost went in the trash last season But I saved them and cleaned them and bleached them today had to let them dry and then we're gonna take this soft pink paint the soft pink paint is from Dixie Belle paints huge shout out to Dixie Belle paints. This is probably my most favorite color of pink paint It's just the perfect pink shade You guys know when you find that perfect pink shade and you're just kind of a little bit over the moon about it Well, I love this so huge shout out Dixie Belle paints for the pretty soft pink paint So I went ahead and added one coat to my little wicker baskets I let that dry and then added a second coat It is freezing out here in my studio today because it is about 29 degrees out and my studio is actually just a part Of my garage so you guys probably can't see it But I have a little space heater at my feet to keep me warm So for the next part of this DIY I had created this trim by just making a ruffle and hot gluing it With some satin fabric and I'm just gonna add that trim around at the edge of this basket Once I had the larger ruffle trim on I'm gonna take this smaller ruffle trim and a huge shout out to my sweet friend Who sent this beautiful ruffle trim as well as those pearl earrings? I'm gonna go ahead and add that in and around the top part to cover up Also kind of that weird rough edge that's on that ruffle trim that I DIY'd So super easy to do you guys don't have to add the ruffle trim But I do feel like it just makes it look a little bit more girly A little bit more fabulous a little bit more Eastery and I DIY my own ruffle trim You can do it with any fabric You're just gonna take the fabric make a pleat and then hot glue it You can also sew that as well I even think that there's a setting on your sewing machine that you can make those pleats But don't ask me because I actually have never done that and I'm just kind of saying that so You guys are gonna have to let me know for all of you seamstresses down in the comment section below How it is that you can do ruffles maybe on your sewing machine, but we are just hot gluing away girlfriends So grab your hot glue guns and then also grab some ribbon because we are gonna add some cute little Adorable bows to the side of each one of our bunny baskets Now you guys know I really love to go over the top and I kind of normally would add tons and tons more ribbon To the side here, but I actually kept it a little bit more minimal and just added ribbon to each side What do you guys think? Have I steered you wrong and not gone as maximalist as possible now for these bunny baskets My sweet friend Barbie had sent me the sweetest gift box full of goodies and I'm gonna use some of that packing That was in with the beautiful vase that she sent me and some of the other treasures and just add that to the center of My basket and then I'm gonna add this kind of pink tissue paper on top of that And that's gonna create a theme for us to put little eggs in and roses and all the things So on again my Facebook page, I had shared some inspiration pictures with you guys and I'm gonna insert one of those now so here's kind of that inspiration picture that I shared with you guys that you all seem to choose the most had the Beautiful fancy bunny baskets. I really love the pink chair that was in some of the inspiration pictures for my living room I don't have a pink chair, but that needs to be on my bucket list I suppose but I'm adding in these little coffee filter roses and in these pink and white check eggs And I've had a lot of people ask me about where I got those eggs I got those eggs about three or four years at Hobby Lobby So I'm just gonna pop in some more little Pretty roses and some more eggs super easy to do you guys get fun creative with it pop in whatever pretty decorative items that you Have but these little baskets, obviously, they're not expensive I mean, I think I got the little wicker basket at Michaels for next to nothing and you can even find them cheaper at your thrift store so find a pretty wicker basket paint it add some ruffle trim and All the little goodies and you're set to go for a fabulous pretty and pink Easter For the next DIY I have this giant Easter bunny that I had a cotton at Michaels last year I don't think cotton was the right word. Apologies if you were an English major or Grammar person anyway, so I have let it I have used it outside and it got really weird and yellow and grungy So I decided to take some chalk paint to it, but then realize that takes a long time to dry So I also have a smaller one. I'm just gonna share with you guys what we're gonna do on the smaller one I'm just gonna add pretty pink bows around the neck of this bunny Now this DIY is ridiculously easy. It's not hard You're just gonna take a piece of ribbon wrap it around the neck of your bunny Hot glue it at the back and then you can leave it there or you can add a bow You guys know that I feel like bows make everything absolutely better So we're going to add a bow to this bunny and actually I'm gonna add pink bows to all my bunnies I'm just gonna do this because this is how it kind of showed on my little Ritz Paris Easter spring Inspiration picture I shared that with you guys earlier So I just think that you know pink is so cute and I think the bunnies are gonna be adorable So once I have that added I'm just gonna go ahead and add that fun a little bow So you guys know pink is my favorite color. I'm gonna add pink bows pink ribbon to all of my bunnies kind of giving it this little bit of a minimalistic and Monochromatic look I don't even know if I'm using that word correctly But just giving them kind of a streamlined look now if I get too bored with this I can go back in and add laces or pearls and trims and all of the fancy things I thought about adding gold around my bunny to make it a little bit more fancy But for now, I know the vision that I have in my head and I'm gonna see if I can make it happen With my living room decor because you could always add things Here is how it all looks so far so these are gonna go into my living room and I have an idea for how I want everything to look not for sure if I'm gonna be able to pull that off because you know, I always have ideas and Anyway, so some of you all had asked also for some more Mackenzie child's dupes I'm almost thinking that these bunnies would be adorable as check bunnies. Oh I think I have a new DIY coming up for us for the next video But here is how they are looking hippity hoppity Easter's on its way Somebody had asked where is my resurrection cross? It is in my living room and it's gonna stay there So I'll share that with you guys once I pull everything together and bring you into my living room Which we're gonna probably do in that next video and here is mr. Handsome pants Benji bear He is just a wild wilderness man with his black and white check scarf and he is going for his fabulous walk I don't know if you guys can tell but I started having to run He was so excited to get out of the house He was also very very barky today with his friend in the backyard. He can't see him But he's on the other side of the fence. It's a big dog that stays out in their yard for a long time Being to bear got some extra bark time, which I don't leave him out for very long But I felt like he just needed to be out of the house. He seemed really cooped up today So we took a good long nice walk and of course, he did all his business and did all this sniffing we didn't see really any friends on our walk today because it was really still pretty cold and So, you know a lot of his friends don't come out when it's super cold. He is BG beer is the neighborhood Wilderness man on the walk no matter what the temp is, but it was actually probably in the 40s by now Still cold for me though. I was bundled up I wonder how crazy people probably think I am because when I go out for a walk I wear like double layers of pants Scarf hat glove if it's below 40 degrees. I just cannot take it I'm sure there's something going on with that due to my age or whatever, but who knows and there's that blue sky blue sky Shining on us. Super fun. This is out of the Bible in a year It's a 52 week journey through God's Word. I'm really loving this one you guys and I know you are as well So last week the devotional part was on is salvation This is gonna be week six and this is on the Holy Spirit I'm gonna hold it right here for just a minute if you guys don't have the book and you want to screenshot it here is the first page on the Holy Spirit and then Here is the second page So you guys can screenshot it and then blow it up and be able to read it and go through it yourselves I'm gonna read the first part of the Holy Spirit Devotional and then we'll read at the blessing So the synopsis the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is God's empowering presence in believers providing guidance comfort and spiritual gifts for Christian living He transforms us from the inside out producing spiritual fruit and enable us to live as effective witnesses for Christ God's presence within Jesus made an extraordinary promise to his disciples when he said the helper the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name Will teach you all things and that's 1st John 1426 this wasn't just a historical promise for the early church It was the introduction of a new era in which God's presence would dwell not just among his people But within them the same Spirit who hovered over the waters at creation now makes us home in the hearts of believers The dramatic events events of Pentecost acts 2 1 through 4 marks the beginning of this new reality The rushing wind tongues of fire and miraculous speaking the other language demonstrated the Holy Spirit presence isn't subtle or theatrical It's transformative and powerful. Well, we might not experience the exact same Manifestations today the Spirit's power to transform lives remains unchanged When Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self-control in Galatians 5 22 through 23 He's not presenting a checklist of behaviors to achieve but describing the natural outcome of the Spirit's presence in our lives Like a healthy tree naturally producing fruit a life field the Spirit naturally displays these characteristics One of the Spirit's most precious ministries is described in Romans 8 26 through 27 the Spirit helps us in our weakness We do not know what we ought to pray for but the Spirit himself Intercedes for us through wordless groans in those moments when we're overwhelmed when words fail us The Spirit bridges the gap between our limited expressions and the father's perfect understanding How amazing is that? I'm not sure that I knew that about the Holy Spirit that when we're at a loss of words and we can't pray and Just God hears our cries inside of our hearts of the Holy Spirit is interceding for us I think you can almost call on the Holy Spirit and say Holy Spirit. Just please I don't know how to pray for this, but you know my heart so that's kind of amazing right there Week one blessing may you walk in step with the Spirit this week. Whoops Sensitive to his guidance and empowered by his presence in every situation you face So let's read that one more time May you walk in step with the Spirit this week sensitive to his guidance and empowered by his presence in every situation you face. I Really really love that because the Holy Spirit is our helper So H for Holy Spirit and H for helper and don't we all need a helper make God's presence in our life Healthiness do the right thing do a better thing and also convicting us when we are wrong I need to apologize or correct our steps because trust me when I tell you I stumble all the time Okay. So anyway, I love you guys to the knee to back.
