My ideal snack is high in protein, contains fibers and maybe a little bit of good fat. Here are some of my favorite healthy snack options that are very easy to make!
Make sure to drop your favorite snack in the comments!
Hey YouTube, what's up?
This week we are going to talk about snacks.
We're all up to snack, but I want to show you 10 healthy options that are all under
100 calories.
So from now on, no excuses.
There's a way you can snack and snack healthy.
Let's dive into it.
So let's get started with this Greek yogurt.
Most of these snacks are very high in protein as well.
And I forgot to mention that I am a big fan of high protein snacks, even though we want
to stay under 100 calories.
Let's focus on the protein.
So this sucker's got 80 calories, 16 grams of protein, lit off, few blueberries, and
we're good to go.
Next up is cottage cheese.
So this little sucker's got 18 grams of protein.
And you know, you can get cottage cheese with 0% fat, 2%, or depending on the fat, it's
going to come in right around 100 calories.
So what I like to do with my cottage cheese is to put some walnuts in it.
You got hazelnuts, almonds, a good option as well, depending on what you like, and then
some cinnamon and we're good to go.
So up next is my beloved Vasa crispbread.
So if you know me, you know that I'm always talking about my Vasa crispbread.
Yes, they are Swedish, just like me, but you can find them all over here in the US.
They're very common.
What I love about the Vasa crispbread is that it's high in fiber, it's a slow, solid carb,
so zero sugar, high in fiber, what else can you ask for?
So we're going to take one or two slices, smoked turkey, garnish with some sliced cucumber.
Super delicious.
You have to try this, trust me.
Next up is hummus with celery and carrots.
So one of the easiest snacks in the book.
Here we got a jalapeno flavored hummus that I'm really excited about, and about two tablespoons
and almost as much vegetables as you can eat will keep you under 100 calories.
Done.
Well, I showed you my Vasa crispbread, so now I have to show you thin crisp, which is
from Finland, our next door neighbor.
I love these.
These are sourdough hard crackers, or hard bread as we call it, that are only 40 calories
if you eat two of them.
So fairly high in fiber, zero sugar, and we're going to put a hard-boiled egg on that with
some spring onions.
So you get the protein from the egg, you get the fiber and the carbs from the thin crisp.
Done.
Another great option is an egg salad.
So we got avocado, spring onions, sweet pepper, you can use bell pepper or don't use pepper
at all if you don't like it, romaine salad or hearts of romaine, and some chopped eggs.
This is a high-protein snack, we have the protein from the egg, a lot of good nutrients
and fibers from the vegetables.
Avocado obviously contains a lot of good fats.
So I'm just fine chopping everything, except the eggs, they're not that fine chopped, stirring
a little bit, adding some lemon juice on top.
There we go.
Next up is a tuna salad.
We got about 20 grams of protein in this can right here, and just below 100 calories.
So this makes a really good high-protein, healthy fat snack.
I'm also adding some celery, tomato, red onion, lemon juice, salt, pepper, as long as it's
a vegetable that you like, feel free to put in whatever you want.
Putting in the tuna, adding the tomato, red onion, celery, lemon juice, a pinch of salt,
a little black pepper, and I'm just stirring this together.
And that's it, super simple.
If you like capers, you can add capers to this as well.
It won't really add to the calories that much, so feel free to add capers if that's your
thing.
So we're down to the last one.
I know what you're thinking.
You're thinking, Magnus, this is just eight recipes and not 10.
You said 10 snacks under 100 calories, but yeah, I admit it, 10 snacks under 100 calories
sounded really, really good to put on title.
So yeah, I did cheat a little bit, but let me tell you this, if you know a good snack
under 100 calories that you want to share, drop it in the comment below, and I'm going
to highlight it, make sure we get two more snacks to this list in the comments below.
All right, let's get into it.
As you can tell, this is the most simple snack you can make.
This is a protein shake.
Basically, when making a protein shake, you got two options.
If you're in a hurry, you're on the go, this is the option.
You put water in it.
I would put a few ice cubes with this, and then the protein powder, shake it, and drink.
If you do have the time though, I would recommend blending your protein shake.
It gets a little more texture, tastes a little more rich, and you can actually add more things
to it.
So for example, here I got frozen cherries that I can use as my ice cubes.
They don't contain a lot of calories either.
So I'm putting about five there, water, one scoop, protein powder, which means just below
100 calories.
Yeah, that's it.
Let's go and blend.
Cheers.
All right, there you have it, 10 snacks or eight snacks, I know, under 100 calories that
you can make in less than five minutes.
I would say even two minutes if you're skilled and that are healthy for you, high in protein.
So go out and try them and let me know what you think.
Thanks for watching.
