Prime Cristiano Ronaldo Was Actually Insane.

So United looking for a 12th straight. We'll get it back though courtesy of Scholes. Ronaldo in the central role that he enjoys. Where's Brown? Lots of... Ronaldo. So dangerous in this position. Ronaldo. Looks like a pitch sent flying there. Ronaldo. Nani. Ronaldo. James thought about coming. Ronaldo's quick for him. Cristiano Ronaldo is unstoppable. What a finish. The finish of a centre forward. It's yet another goal for Cristiano Ronaldo. 26 for the season. Within the first 10 minutes, 1-0. What about the pass? What about a little bit of football from United? What about the little pass from Nani? What's that lovely little touch? I tell you, he does well. He's at a horrible angle. He does everything right. He takes his time. Where am I going to put it? Love the little ball through from. A positive attacking start from United. You can feel there was a goal coming. That is brilliant. Oh, Ronaldo. A bit of space from here. He must feel he can score every opportunity. Was he taken down there by Sol Campbell? Yes, he was. And guess who's going to take this free kick? I wonder. No, but that's a great bit of play between him and Rooney. Great bit of play. He just lays it off to Rooney and goes for the return. He's just got a little Here he comes. Oh, the genius of this man. What a hit. David James stood like a statue and already United are two up, both from Cristiano Ronaldo. Well, you look at David James, you hold your hands up and you say, unstoppable. Unstoppable. I thought he might have kept that low. He doesn't. Even I don't know what he's going to do. That is tremendous, that. That is tremendous. Look at the power. Oh, different class. He was coming to watch him on his own. Not as good as this one, was he? No, but you'll admire his play. You won't want to, but you'll admire it. It's a Ronaldo. Oh, through to Park. Good vision. Park. Ronaldo. White shirts following him. Back. Rooney. Ronaldo. Rooney. He's trying to chip it over the goalkeeper. Great stuff. Brown. Ronaldo. Ronaldo. Scholes. Shoot, everyone says. It's taken late there. It's taken late by Davis. A little bit of a late challenge, isn't it? You know, it's one of those touches, the touch that Paul had. It tempts you to tackle him. You know, he's just a bit heavy and it tempts you to tackle him. Oh, James had to make the save. What did I just say to you? He had to make the save. What did I say to you? You want something on top of the goalkeeper just in case he handles it. Ronaldo. Control there, Ronaldo. Takes on Johnson away by Campbell. The Frenchman. He's not going to hit one, is he? Well, it took a deflection, I think, and James has collected it. Yeah, I think the deflection as well took all the Eric. Ronaldo. Ronaldo. Rooney. Ronaldo. Parks in here. Out comes James Reddick. Scholes. Oh, Ronaldo. It's not going to be a hat-trick, is it? Oh, it's a good challenge, actually. Yeah, it should have been a bit of support there, Cristiano. It should have been somebody alongside him just in case. What a great ball that is from Paul Scholes. He needs just somebody alongside him just to play that off tip. Rooney. Ronaldo. Back. Onside. Rooney. They're so quick at you. Look, five red shirts going forward here. Park goes in. Ronaldo is offside. He's offside, Ronaldo. Oh, that was good football again. I'm not so sure you could... You had to be caught off there, Cristiano. Did you not see along the line? Maybe he didn't. You're thinking, can you see along the line? In this game so far. Ronaldo. Rooney. Is he going to hit one? Oh, he finds Ronaldo. Rooney's in the centre. Good clearance. Zidane. United got another goal. Up with him. Ronaldo. Takes on Distan. Here's Nani. Nani still going onto his left foot. Oh, if he hits the target he scores. Rooney alongside him, screaming for it as well. Oh, he's not happy there. If he hits the target it's a goal. But watch Wayne Rooney. Watch Wayne Rooney appearing from nowhere. Football looks so easy. Yeah. Scores. Oh. This fella's enjoying himself as well. Michael Carr. Everett. Ronaldo. Is there another sting in the tail at the end of this first half? Ronaldo. With a few parts. Ronaldo. Direct running at the heart of that Portsmouth defence. Can't get the ball off him. The most complete 45 minutes of attacking football you'll ever see. Cristiano Ronaldo. Welcome back. Portsmouth have... Scores. Ronaldo. To Carrick again. Ronaldo. It's great one time. Another goal. Ronaldo. Nani. Ronaldo going through the middle again. Just glides away from Campbell. Instead finds Ronaldo. Oh, Rooney and Ronaldo linking brilliantly. Ronaldo. Not too sure if that wasn't meant for Nani. Ah, Benjani. It's Ronaldo. Free kick surely. Oh, not given. Ronaldo stayed down here. Still down Ronaldo. Looks in trouble. And Portsmouth sportingly put it out of play. Wins it back. Ronaldo. This could be the hat-trick. Oh, he scuffed it. He's human. I thought Campbell originally fouled. Here's Ronaldo. Nani. Ronaldo. Oh, he plays in Nani, but Johnson clears. Three against three. Ronaldo. Park. Rooney on the outside of him. Here is Wayne Rooney. Rooney onto his right foot. Rooney. Straight at James. Oh, straight down his throat. He was looking for a Ronaldo. Oh, outstanding. Look at that. MD wide. MD wide. Anderson and Rooney up with him. MD wide. Anderson. Onside. Fletcher not even in the squad. Here he comes. Ronaldo. Oh. Well, they're enjoying the play of United. That's why there's a lot of noise. So is United. He's made 50 yards. Ronaldo. Nani. Further hands there. Oh, dear me. Couldn't quite reach Park either. It was looking for a tap in there. Well, what could the score have been? Well, Wayne Rooney's not going to get his goal. Inside of him. Here's Ronaldo. Oh, that's a great ball to Rooney. Here comes Park. Oh, and blocked by James from Nani. Oh, you know the unselfishness of Wayne Rooney. The unselfishness. United are going to make a double substitution, by the way. Tevez and Hargreaves are going to come on. Oh, Ferdinand. He wants to join the party now. He wants it off him. He won't want to come off Rooney. You can bet your life on that. And that man will want a hat-trick as well. He'll be annoyed. But the manager's thinking, well, we've got to save them for White Hart Lane. What a goal that was. Oh, dear. That's what the manager's thinking of. Not bad when you can make two substitutions. Oh, that's moving. Oh, dear me. The ball was swerving viciously. He'll be thinking, that's one of mine, that. That's going to show it's a hit. This is all over the place. The goalie nowhere near it. He puts his hand up, but, oh, dear me. That would be on target. That was in. We know he can hit. Shot blocked. Great ball in. Begging to be hit. Park. Another one, he just can't keep it down. The ball was thrown back from the Stretford end. It hit the back of James and has dribbled into the back of the net. But there you go. Just over from Ji-Sung Park. Another one, he just can't keep it down. After this, it's going to get there, you know. Anderson. Good effort. What's another half chance if he keeps that Strong run. The angle's right for the goalkeeper. Anderson in. A great work by the Brazilian. Anderson deserves a goal. Oh, dear me, that's brilliant play, isn't it? That's brilliant play. The last touches with the outside of his left foot, and it curls away from the goalkeeper rather than towards it. This is great play, this. One, two, come on again. Oh, dear me. Well, if there is such a thing as a 2-0 thrashing, that was it. United go back to the top of the Barclays Premier League. And once again, he's the hero. Cristiano Ronaldo with both goals in the first 15 minutes. The first, a neat finish after a good link-up play with Nani. The second, a quite stunning free kick. There could have been many, many more goals. At times, some of United's football was sublime.
