I've got a couple new complexion products to show you guys today and they are very much
my style of makeup.
I like more of a natural looking makeup.
I like light to medium coverage foundation.
For concealer, I like more of a medium coverage because I do want to cover some things but
I don't want to feel like, you know, I'm fully covered.
I kind of want to tone down the darkness around my eyes and I like more of a kind of natural,
maybe a little bit luminous finish and these two products that I have right here claim
to do just that.
So we are going to test out the MPH new foundation that also comes with their own brush.
I've already tested these out by the way, so I have my thoughts made up and we also
have the Patrick Ta concealer that also comes with the brush.
So that's what we're going to focus on today but I will kind of show you the rest of the
makeup.
I may even put one of the Chantecaille eyeshadows on.
I know I told you guys I would do a dedicated video on them, just life has been so busy
and didn't get around to do that but grab something to drink, hang out with me and let's
get started.
Like I mentioned, I did test out these products.
I've been wearing the foundation for a couple weeks now and the concealer, kind of the same
amount.
So I know what I think about the products which hopefully will be helpful for you.
I will put a primer.
This is the Huda Easy Blur Primer.
I'm just taking a little bit and putting it around my kind of pore area.
I do this pretty much all the time.
Just need something to smooth out my pores.
I'm trying to keep it in the T-zone around here and here and not taking anywhere else.
Okay, so starting off with the MPH foundation, let's start with the packaging.
I feel like mine's a little dirty but this is a really cool, beautiful packaging.
You have this frosted glass and then the pump is red, a bright red and I think it's just
really, really chic.
I really like it.
Let's see how much this was.
I want to say it was almost $50.
The foundation is $49 and you get one ounce.
It is supposed to have more of a natural finish, medium coverage.
It's serum.
It has niacinamide, a weightless, breathable foundation that works perfectly with the under
painting, buildable medium coverage and fresh natural finish.
You guys know I love my MPH Face Palette so much.
It is very much loved.
As you can see right here, I actually have another one.
They sent me one which I'm excited about because I feel like I'm going to hit pan on quite
a few of these products.
I don't want to show you guys the foundation on top of this.
I may do that in another video but this is meant to work with under painting technique
and it does work because I've tested that out but today I just want to show you the
foundation by itself.
I got the shade Medium 120W.
As you can see, it's a very liquid, serum-y foundation on me right now.
This foundation may be a little bit dark but we'll blend it in and everything but I feel
like I'm going to get a lot of tan during the spring, summer and I just didn't want
to get a foundation that has this texture that's going to be too light for me because
of that.
If it was winter time, I probably would have gone with a shade lighter but it is what it
is.
It's fine.
I have no tan on right now.
As fair as I come and I'm just slowly applying it.
I did load my brush with the foundation first and now I can just go around and slowly blend
it out.
I didn't talk about the brush which I have to say it's kind of my favorite thing.
It is $48 and yeah, not much to say about it.
It is synthetic so it's good for liquids and the way this applies the foundation is so
beautiful because it's kind of airy as you can see.
It's not extremely dense which I like because it applies the foundation so seamlessly, so
smoothly and you can sheer it out if you want to or you can build it up.
So that's a very thin layer of the foundation.
I can build it up a little bit right here and you can see that it's definitely adding
coverage.
I think you can see it quite a lot because the foundation is a little dark for me right
now because so let's zoom you in.
Here is a layer of the foundation.
The thing that I love about this foundation is how smooth it looks on the skin and around
the pore area.
I find it very flattering, very smoothing and hydrating.
Right now it looks quite glowy.
Eventually throughout the day it does set a little bit so you don't have that wet feeling
to it but it takes a while.
So you just kind of have to be patient with this foundation or you can set it if you want
to but you do have quite a lot of luminosity from it.
I personally absolutely love it.
I think it's such a beautiful foundation and I love the coverage.
In my opinion, initially this was more of a light medium coverage and then you can build
it up to a medium the most.
I feel like I can never get full coverage out of this one and it's very thin, very skin
like.
I would say it reminds me of kind of a healthy serum that gives me some glow but it also
evens out my complexion.
So here's with and then without.
Now because I have been testing this foundation out, I can speak on longevity.
So I would say that this foundation will not last 12 plus hours.
This is a softer foundation.
It's a bit lighter and it does fade throughout the day.
Not tragic whatsoever I would say.
For the first six to eight hours, it looks really beautiful and then it slowly fades
a little bit and the way it fades, it's not splotchy, it's not heavy and because it's
not this super full coverage foundation, it just kind of looks okay, you know.
At the end of the day, it still looks okay but if you have a super long day that you
need a foundation to last you 12 plus hours, this is not it.
For me, this is more of a everyday foundation that kind of evens out my skin tone and makes
me look healthy but I expected by the end of the day to have faded which for me, that
doesn't bother me at all.
I would rather a foundation fade nicely than get splotchy and separated throughout the
day which we've had that experience.
With the Nars one, it just, you know, it just didn't work for my skin.
I still need to test it out a little bit more.
I didn't get a chance to do that.
I am really liking the way this looks on the skin.
It looks so smooth and healthy and natural.
I adore it.
I think it's so beautiful.
If you have oily skin, I know this says that it's a natural finish but I would have to
disagree.
I think it's more of a luminous finish as you can see.
Even when it sets, I still see a bit of luminosity to it.
It's not glowy.
I wouldn't say that this is a glowy foundation because once it sets, it does set nicely but
it's still not, it's not a foundation that I would consider if I had oilier skin.
But for my skin which is more normal to dry, how beautiful does that look?
In terms of it setting, I do think it takes a bit for the foundation to completely set
and not feel wet on the skin because right now, I feel it a little bit like if I touch
my skin, I can kind of feel it that it's there but it's not tragic and I will powder the
T-zone.
I always do no matter what.
So that does not bother me at all and I absolutely love the finish.
Let's move on to the Patrick Ta concealer.
This one was sent to me, the foundation I did purchase myself.
They sent over one color and it is the Light Peach Neutral 2 and then they also sent over
the brush which it's so good.
It's dual-ended so you have this more dense angled side and then this other side, you
can see I've used it, that's a little bit airier so it blends out the product easier.
So if you want a lot more coverage, you just go with this one and then I like at the end
to go with the other side to smooth it out.
So this concealer, let's see how much it costs.
It is $34.
You get 6ml and they say that this is a medium coverage, natural finish, long wearing, buildable
medium coverage, it brightens, blurs under the eyes and complexion.
This is the shade that I got.
I kind of winged it online and I like the shade.
I like that it has a little bit of a peach undertone.
It's going to be a little bright for the concealer, no the foundation but I don't mind that.
If anything, it's going to help it kind of lighten up.
I'm going to put a little bit on the nose and you know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to take it here so it will blend into my neck a little bit better and I'm going
to kind of lift this area here.
Should we start with that?
Maybe a little bit here.
Okay, so the concealer, the way this feels is very thin, very thin but it almost feels
moussey.
Like when you apply it, it feels kind of airy and not, not serum-y and watery.
It has some substance to it but it is quite thin.
Let's start with the fluffy brush.
I like this side a lot for the brush.
I need to check how much the brush is because the Patrick Ta brushes are so good.
I was kind of skeptical in the beginning and then I slowly bought one, they sent me one,
I bought another one and now I have a decent collection and I find myself reaching for
the, their brushes quite a bit.
I really like them.
So to me, this concealer has medium coverage and honestly I could even get more of a lighter
coverage if I sheared out quite a bit but you can, you know, leave it medium coverage.
You could also let it sit for a little bit and that will give you a little bit of an
extra coverage in that area where you're letting it sit.
So I'm letting it sit a little bit longer around my eyes or under my eyes.
The kids are playing magnet house or something so I can hear them and I don't know if you
guys have noticed just how easy it was to blend this out.
It really is such an easy concealer, very blendable, quite smoothing and I'm really
enjoying it.
I think it works really well with my skin.
I know they say it has a natural finish.
I find it quite luminous and I do find myself wanting to reach for this concealer on a day
to day basis.
You can kind of see how brightening it is and it covers, I would say, medium coverage
but I think the brightness and the color that I have, I actually really like because it's
a little peachy so it does help correct my under eyes, like the darker circles.
So it is a product that I've really been enjoying.
Even if they didn't send it to me, I would have picked it up but I was very grateful
that they sent it over and I've been really enjoying it.
I'm going to add a little bit more right here because I think this side had a little bit
more coverage and this is one that I don't find it cakey at all because of the consistency
that it has and to me it looks a little luminous.
I don't find it heavy at all.
It just looks so healthy.
If I were to compare it to the Sarah Creel concealer, this one seems to have a little
bit more substance to it, that one's a little bit more liquid.
So that's the difference in texture.
Oh man, I actually have the Sarah Creel corrector.
They sent that over.
Actually I wouldn't have wanted to mix the concealer and the corrector together because
that wouldn't give you much information about how this covers.
So never mind, scratch that.
But Sarah Creel did come out with under eye correctors and I'm really excited about those.
Okay, so you can see the brightness that this gives under my eyes.
I can take the foundation brush and almost kind of calm this down if I don't want such
a brightening effect under my eyes, which I usually don't.
I like a little bit of brightness, but I don't want to, I don't know.
I don't want it exaggerated and he looks really, really beautiful.
I do set this one because it is quite luminous in my opinion, but I like it.
I feel like my skin looks very healthy and kind of youthful.
I love this.
I like that it does cancel my darkness and it does brighten me up, but I don't feel full
on covered.
So, okay, that is the base.
I will absolutely, I have an itch right here.
Let's use this.
I will powder because right now I feel like if I touch my face, I may move things around
and that's one negative thing about this foundation is that it takes a while for it to set down
fully.
So I just, I'm taking a little bit of my powder, making sure that I don't have any lines under
here, kind of make the space and then you can pop that in and secure it.
I am using my La Prairie foundation, no powder.
That is the base all done with a little bit of powder and I think it is so beautiful.
Very much my kind of makeup and I'm very happy with this duo.
I'm just going to do my brows real quick.
I'm using the Makeup Beauty brow pencil and the gel, very little, just making sure that
it's kind of even.
It did pluck a little bit, just those hairs there right before I started recording.
I shouldn't have too much to do to the brows.
The color in the pencil is soft black and then a little bit of the Makeup Beauty gel.
This is the brown color and I'm going to start at the end here and then bring it forward
in the front.
I don't want to put the gel straight in the front in case it has a little bit too much
color that can darken up the look, the brows quite a lot.
I've been stuck on the toast color from Westman Atelier.
This contour shade works so well with my skin.
I absolutely love it.
I definitely think that for my skin tone, this is probably the best color.
Truffle is more of an actual bronzer on me and then Biscuit is quite light.
I still love it, but I think this color just actually shows a shadow and contours my skin
really well.
For blush, I actually have these new Dibs cheek tints.
They sent over, I think these colors, is there another one?
I can't remember, but these are the ones that I found and the new brush, which the brush
is so good.
The Dibs brush are incredible.
I have this big one from them that is so good for bronzer, for foundation.
It's just such a good brush and I find the shape of the new one to be perfect for cheek
because I don't know if you guys can tell, it has an indentation right here, so it fits
your cheek so well.
I am going to put this color on maybe.
It is Moody Girl and it has this applicator.
I am not going to go straight on my cheeks.
I'm going to go on the back of my hand and I'm going to slowly build the product onto
the brush first and then go on my cheek.
Now, I've been using these for, I'm going to say a week and I do find them very long
lasting, but again, I would not put them straight on your cheeks.
I don't like that.
I feel like it would be too pigmented and too intense right away.
I'm going to take it around everywhere, pretty much.
I wouldn't say that, wow, these are the smoothest thing I've seen.
They're nice, but the longevity is what you're going for with this blush formula.
Should we try another color on top of this?
Okay, let's try this one.
It's Cool Girl.
Wait, is that the name of all of them?
No, the other one was Moody Girl.
We're going to try Cool Girl on top of it.
This is super bright.
Okay, I'm going to be careful-ish and try not to add too much.
Oh, I like that a lot.
I have been kind of testing these out, so this is not my first application, but I can't
remember the colors that I tried.
I definitely know I tried the darker one.
I don't think I tried this one yet and I actually really like it.
Oh my, look at that color.
Is that how it's going to turn on my cheeks?
That pink one?
I don't know.
Okay, we'll see.
We'll see.
I'll let you know if I'm like fuchsia at the end of the day.
Because I have no self-control, I'm going to take a little bit more blush.
This is from ILIA and it is in the shade Breathless and I'm just going to add a little bit on
top of it to almost set it.
And on top of that, I'm taking my blue highlighter from Chanel.
This, I think it's back in stock.
If you need a full review on the whole denim collection from Chanel, go check that one
out.
I actually love this collection from Chanel.
I think it's my favorite collection that they've done.
I think it's so different and pretty.
And this highlighter, it looks blue, but I think it's so pretty.
It doesn't look blue on the cheek.
It just looks, it has like a pink tint to it and I really, really like it.
I even put it on my eyes.
I think it's so pretty.
And again, I think Nordstrom has it.
This sold out so quickly.
When I had my video up, I was trying to find links for you guys and everything was sold
out and that was within a day of the release.
So yeah, if you want this collection, go check it out now before it sells out again.
And then just a little bit of a bronzer.
I'm using my YSL bronzer in the shade, I want to say it's medium.
Shade two.
I really like this bronzer.
It kind of sculpts the face real nice.
It is more of a matte finish, but that's okay.
It's kind of what I want right now because the base is quite luminous, like the foundation
is quite luminous.
Yeah, it's pretty.
And then I'm going to set my face with the Charlotte Tilbury matte spray.
Okay.
This one can squirt on your face with the first one, so I always spray it in the air.
That's such a waste though.
On the eyes, I do have this Chantecaille collection.
It's so beautiful, guys.
It's absolutely stunning.
The packaging, and they did come out with four different lip products.
I'm trying to see which color story I want to apply today.
I feel like this is quite cool tone for my blush, should have thought that through.
And then we have this one.
I think I'm going to use this one today.
I think it'll work a little bit better with what I have on, but I've tested these out.
I'm going to swatch them for you.
Here are the two palettes side by side.
This is the lighter one, which I'm going to use today.
And then this one right here, I hope you guys can tell, it's so beautiful.
You got this taupe-y shade, this kind of pink, this kind of sparkly shade, and then this
deeper mauve-y shade.
It's so beautiful.
I could use this all over the lid.
Again, I think this is a little bit too mauve-y cool tone for my makeup.
I would have to wear a different blush, so I'm going to go for this one.
My thoughts on this collection, I mean, you guys know Chantecaille is so expensive, but
I love their eyeshadows, mostly these kind of limited edition.
I think they're so beautiful.
I'm just taking the middle one.
And they're elegant.
Even though you get some intensity from the shadows, mostly this palette, I would say
that this is a little bit more cool tone and more intense.
It's still such a pretty elegant shadow.
This one, I would say it's more daytime friendly, a little softer, which is why I picked this
one right now.
But I think that, which is the name of it, Dusk Eye Trio is a little bit more interesting,
and I think there's a little bit more depth in it.
So you can get a smokier eye than you would with this palette.
But I do think the quality is amazing.
Is it overpriced?
Absolutely.
It is Chantecaille.
But if you like the packaging, if you are interested in them, know that the one I'm
using right now, which is Dawn Eye Trio is just a little softer.
It still has beautiful colors, but you're not going to get the impact that you're going
to get from the deeper one.
But I would say that this is the one that I would reach for more because it is more
everyday friendly.
I'm going to take the lighter shade right here and go in the inner corner.
Look how intense this is.
This is a very intense color.
I'm going to bring it in just a tiny bit.
Again, this video is not necessarily for the eye makeup, it's more for the foundation slash
concealer.
Then I'm going to take the mauve shade right here.
I think I want to work it a little bit on the lid and bring it in like so.
Oh, that's so pretty.
I think this makeup will be good for the zoo.
Now it's super intense and we have flamingos on it.
How cute is that?
I do think I'm going to put a little bit of a liner.
Let me find one.
I'm going to use the Hung Vengo liner.
It is this color right here.
It's called Use Your Own Judgment.
I just really like how this works on my eyes.
It's soft enough and impactful enough as well, like depth wise, and also it lasts all day.
It sets really well and does not budge.
I just need a little bit of it like that.
I'm going to take the liner right in here on the outer area, just like a little bit,
and I'm not going to bring it all the way in.
And then going back into my tiny brush, I'm going to blend this out.
This is a reference number 23.
It is a must in anybody's collection when it comes to brushes.
It's such a small detail brush and it's so useful.
I like that.
I may just take this brush that had the mauve shade and I'm going to blend the liner.
I really like this.
Let me go put mascara on and I'll show you the finished look.
I've been loving this Urban Decay mascara.
It's the one I've used today.
I like that it's tubing and also it doesn't flake.
And I like the effect.
Sometimes I don't want a ton of volume.
It almost looks fake.
I have naturally quite decent lashes.
So I like this mascara because it still makes them longer and fluffy, but it's not fake
looking almost.
So I just really like the mascara.
And that's the eye look.
And dare I say, I love it.
I love this so much more than I thought I would.
This happens all the time with Chantecaille.
I look at the colors.
I'm like, those are kind of basic.
Like, I don't know.
They're fine.
But when I put it on, I'm like, wow, this is actually very elegant.
It's very pretty.
I see myself reaching for them a lot.
And I have quite a few Chantecaille trios like this and I keep them.
I've declutter a lot of my eyeshadows, but I keep the Chantecaille because first of all,
I think it's just so beautiful.
It's almost like a collector's item.
But I do use the product so much.
So I created this eye look only with these three colors.
Then I could do more intensity if I wanted to or leave it like this for every day.
So I really like this a lot.
And I have used the deeper one.
And I have to say it is absolutely stunning.
It's a little bit smokier and a little bit more intense.
But this color all over the lid, I wore that once and it was so beautiful.
And also this deeper color all over the lid with a little bit of this middle color on top.
I'll use this in another video, but I just...
I'm really liking this.
I think it's so pretty.
They did come out with four lip products.
I'm trying to find them around here.
The colors are a little bit interesting because some are very wearable.
This is Stella.
I feel like they have this color like permanently.
I could be wrong, but that is the shade Stella.
It's really pretty.
Then they have this super intense color.
This is Guava.
And this is very summery in my opinion.
It's something that I would wear.
I would see myself wearing kind of like blended out.
It smells like cocoa.
This is the color that I've been wearing a lot.
Jacaranda.
It's this beautiful kind of pinky rosy nude color.
I have been reaching for this.
And then the last one is more of a fuchsia color.
Look at that.
This is called Camu Camu.
So these are the colors that they have.
I would say my most used one has been this one.
I think Stella I already have, like I mentioned.
And I don't see myself wearing this much at all.
But I do see myself in the summer wearing this one.
It's really pretty.
I sometimes put it in the center of the lip as well.
But I have this eye look.
I'm probably going to go for this one right there.
I do want to just show you Guava.
Just so you have an idea of the tone.
So I would just put it like that and then blend it out.
Almost like a wash of color.
And kind of mess it around the lip line.
See, I think it's so pretty.
It's a color that I would reach for.
I will take the lip liners from Summer Friday right here.
I've already talked about these.
It's such a good formula.
I'm going to take the color Cinnamon and align my lips.
Added that a little bit all over.
And we're going to take this one and add a little bit in the center.
So pretty.
There we go.
Very natural.
Last thing I'm doing, I'm going to add a little bit of my Chanel powder.
Just right here in the center.
There we go.
I think that kind of reddish color from the first lip is peeking through a little bit.
So I'm going to take just a little bit of this.
This is from Laneige to cool down the look a little bit.
There we go.
I think that kind of calmed down a little bit the red.
Sometimes you don't see it on camera what I see here.
Okay, let's talk about everything that we've tried.
Starting off with the foundation.
I really like this foundation.
It's very much the kind of product that I would like to reach for.
Very serum-y, very kind of skin-like, a little bit luminous.
And you can see here that you still see the luminosity through it.
I did not powder that area.
So I really like it.
It does remind me a little bit of the...
Well, a lot of the Armani new luminous silk foundation.
So if you like this one, you would love this one.
I think the MPH is more of a light to medium coverage.
And it's a little bit more almost radiant, I want to say.
But they're very similar in my opinion.
And they kind of perform well.
I do think that Armani lasts a little bit longer.
But the MPH is a little lighter, more serum-y on the skin.
And more of a light to medium coverage.
But it's really beautiful.
I like it.
The concealer, I personally enjoy it.
I like the coverage of it.
I like it for kind of day-to-day.
Is it blowing my socks off?
Not really.
But I do think it's a great concealer.
I would compare this to maybe the Kosas concealer coverage-wise.
And maybe effect.
It kind of reminds me of that.
Sarah Creel, the Kosas.
Kind of that vibe of a concealer.
That it's more of a medium coverage.
You can kind of see my dark circles under.
Everyday, nice kind of luminous concealer.
But once I set it, that luminosity and brightness does subside.
But I do enjoy it.
Is this concealer taking over all my other concealers?
At the moment, no.
But I do enjoy it.
And I love this combination.
This concealer with this foundation.
I feel like it's such a good combo.
It's something that I truly enjoy and want to reach for daily.
I have to say that the brushes are incredible.
The MPH brush, I love it so, so much.
It's a new way to apply foundation.
If you've been kind of stuck on this very thick, heavy brush.
Very dense, not thick.
It's absolutely beautiful.
It'll add more coverage.
But something like this adds more of an airy kind of just lighter coverage.
And I am here for it.
I love the brush.
Dare I say I love the brush even more than the foundation.
I see myself using this all the time.
And I also really enjoy the Patrick Ta concealer brush.
I really think it is dense enough, but airy enough.
And you have the two sides to kind of carve.
I love this.
I love this a lot.
Moving on to these blushes from Dibs.
I'm actually on the fence with these.
When I tried them, I thought, oh, that looks really pretty.
And it blends in.
But I kind of feel like it didn't do a ton for my skin.
If anything, I kind of, dare I say, see it removing some of the product on my cheeks.
I'll have to test them out a little bit more.
But I wouldn't put my stamp of approval on them yet.
Which kind of sucks.
They did send these to me.
But I'm just, I'm hesitant with these.
I did use this color Moody Girl a few times.
And I actually really enjoyed it.
But now that I'm like looking up close, I don't know.
I feel like it looks patchy right here.
I just need to test these out a little bit more and be aware of that.
I do love the brush.
The brush is worth every penny.
Both sides are beautiful.
And I love the way this fits here perfectly.
So the brush is amazing.
And you kind of know my thoughts on the Chantecaille collection.
I think it's really pretty, really chic.
Is it worth the money?
No.
But if you're a Chantecaille collector, I don't think you would be disappointed with them.
And that is everything for today.
I hope you guys enjoyed it.
