Hey, guys.
Today, I'm on the site of former Alfington Paper Mill, which is about to be home
to the Papersmith Apartments, part of the Yarraband Project by Glenville.
Now, I ended up a sneaky look at the visual concepts of this space,
and let's just say I'm super excited to see what these apartments look
like in the flesh.
So let's check them out.
Whoa, the Papersmith.
I love the feeling of these apartments.
Ah, the dark timber flooring has got a beautiful moody feel to it.
Casually in the living area, very comfy indeed.
The flow in here is really lovely, and I should mention the architecture
and interior design is by Ellenberg Fraser.
It's very contemporary, it's very fresh, it's very open, but there's also a lot
of strong materials in here.
It's got quite an industrial feeling to it, which does reflect, I guess,
the site's past, but it's not just industrial.
It's got a nice soft touch, it's got a nice cozy atmosphere,
which is helped by those lovely curtains behind me.
And also, I mean, the interior styling in here doesn't hurt either.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Check out this glass box, shall we?
Oh my God, I love this.
This is so good.
So this is called the Winter Garden, which can I just say, for Melbourne,
is like the best thing ever.
Can you see the weather outside?
It's raining.
Like five minutes ago, it was hailing.
So something like this, the fact that you're outside, but you're enclosed,
you know, you get to experience it all year round.
Now, not every apartment is the same, so you can choose from a winter garden,
a terrace, or a balcony, but I've got to say there's something super awesome
about this, and it's so versatile.
I just love the fact that you can be outside all year round.
We're going to check out the dining area.
There's a good flow here.
Like this runs off the kitchen, and I mean, this is just like a socialite's pad.
It's for the entertainer, because you would be entertaining,
because check out your kitchen.
Really good-sized island bench.
Love that stone.
And I love the natural stone of that splashback as well.
That works really nicely with this dark cabinetry.
And then, the bathroom.
This has got a lovely feeling in here.
It's very minimal.
Plus, I really like this bathroom vanity with the open shelving.
Speaking of materials, you get a choice, because we're buying off the plan, guys.
This is home shopping at its finest.
We've got two themes, Bronte and Orwell.
So, we've got a bit of light and a bit of the dark side.
And right now, we're standing in the dark side with the dark timber floorboards,
and just quietly, I'm vibing it.
Integrated fridge.
Let's go see how comfy this couch is.
Okay, so the Papersmith Apartments, check out.
So, these are one- and two-bedroom apartments in Alfington,
which is only six and a half Ks from Melbourne's CBD.
And your neighbours are Kew, Ivanhoe, and Clifton Hill.
So, you're in a really good spot, and you are so close to the city.
So, this location is part of Yarra Bend, and it's called Yarra Bend for a very good reason.
The Yarra is literally round the bend, or round the corner, something like that.
But seriously, the Yarra is at your doorstep, so it's super easy to get into the city.
And if you ride a bike, you can access probably one of the nicest bike tracks in Melbourne,
in my humble opinion, anyway.
But, if cycling is not your jam, you've got a train station less than 500 metres away.
So, the Papersmith Apartments are actually across four different buildings,
and they've got their own entranceways to each,
which are these beautiful, lush entranceways, which are part of the Paper Trail,
which have been landscape-designed by Aspect Studios.
In fact, greenery here is incredibly important, because it's not just the Paper Trail,
but there's actually four parks on the Yarra Bend site.
And there's free Wi-Fi in those parks.
So, if you just casually want to happen to do some work in the park, you can.
Plus, there's also an artisan food hub, which is curated by Scott Pickett.
There's a tech concierge.
So, basically, you can just have someone on call if you need help in your own apartment.
There's co-working spaces, and there's also a Yarra Bend app for residents.
So, you can book things like your co-working space, or maybe your personal trainer.
But why would you be booking a personal trainer, Lucy?
Oh, because you've got your very own health and wellness centre.
Did I not mention that?
So, yeah, this is like the showstopper.
When I first saw it, I was like, what is this?
This is amazing.
You have got your own health and wellness centre right at your doorstep.
It is insane.
So, this is not like your normal home, gym, or pool, okay?
This is like something next level that I have never seen before.
So, this health and wellness centre has got an incredible holistic approach to health and wellness.
The space is design-driven, and it has got the most incredible subterranean look and feel to it.
There's an indoor pool.
There's an outdoor pool.
There's a wading pool.
There's an outdoor onsen spa.
An onsen spa!
There's a steam room.
There's a sauna.
There's a yoga room.
There's a techno gym.
There's a virtual gym room.
There's a zen room, and there's a massage room.
I mean, that's a lot of rooms, and they are literally all right underneath you in the Papersmith.
So, you can literally check out of work, head home.
You can go to the gym, sweat it out.
You can quite literally go hard, and then go home.
How good is that?
I've got to admit, I love the fact that so much focus has been put into this health and wellness centre,
and I love that it's integrated into these apartments,
and it just makes it so easy for you to be healthy,
which makes you a happier person, quite frankly.
And plus, not only that, but then you get to come home to this incredible apartment.
It's very cosy, so you can have your beautiful downtime,
but also, you can have your mates around, and you can entertain.
So, it basically creates an incredibly well-balanced life.
So, if you want to be having a look at this apartment for yourself,
hit the link in the description below, or head to the Yarra Bend website to find out more.
Thanks for watching, guys.
I'd love to know what you thought of these apartments, so leave me a comment below,
and like and subscribe.
We've got plenty more videos coming your way.
Look how my house doesn't have a health and wellness centre.
It's got an exercise box that doesn't get used.
That doesn't count.
