Today I'm at Crazy Creek Resort in British Columbia, Canada and behind me is the Monashy,
a 350 square foot prefab cabin that can be rented on a nightly basis. The Monashy was built by Rover
Tiny Homes in Chilliwack and one of the things that I didn't realize about Rover is they'll
build as either a tiny home park model, they'll build as a modular as you see here, or they'll
even build as a manufactured home. So they've got a lot of different options as far as spec
depending on the property it's going and the customer's needs. This floor plan is unlike
anything that I have ever shown on the channel and definitely works very well here at the resort.
So enough chit chat, let's check this thing out. Here we go, the Monashy, the second home that I'm
touring here at Crazy Creek Resort and one of the things that I like about this place
is not only the amenities like the hot pool and stuff like that because I'm not using any of that
today, but it's the fact that I can come here and check out a couple different manufacturers
all in one place. So as we get close to the front of the Monashy, this is one of my favorite things
about the setup that they've got here and it's the fact that they've got this attached
covered section that was built on site that not only enhances the look, it also enhances
the functionality of this home because you've got this massive covered porch that can be used
no matter what the weather is doing. So if you're staying here in the winter or the summer, it's
raining, you've got almost double the usable space if you include that covered porch. So as far as the
exterior look goes, again the covered porch is a big part of it, but they've got the black steel siding
and they've got this looks like wood on the end but that's just painted metal as well. They do
have wood around the windows and then they've got those big timbers on the front that give it that
mountain cottage vibe which is fitting because that's exactly what it is. We are located right
now in the valley between two mountains. There is going to be snow on the ground here next week and
it's going to look completely different, but as far as I know this is a four season destination
that you can come and check these things out. On the front we've got a couple big windows to take
in the view, you've got the front door there, lights on either end. I think it's time we duck inside
the rover and see what it's all about, or sorry the monastery. It's built by Rover Tiny Homes,
get it straight. All right, first thing you see when you come into the rover is
a bit of storage which is going to be a welcome sight for most people because
it's something they ask about all the time. So you've got a little bit of a
seat there to put on shoes and even store shoes underneath. Behind the seat is a spot to hang
jackets and then above you've got a couple shelves. Now they've got this huge built-in
right by the front door as well which is a nice touch. More space to hang jackets and then put
away a few things on the shelves and they've even got three drawers down there, look at that would
you. All right, now a little bit about the rover. Again 350 square feet, I think it's 14 feet wide
by 25 feet long and clearly this was designed for the hospitality industry and that is the exact
use it is serving here at Crazy Creek. So they've got a king bed, great smack dab in the middle of
the home and when you wake up in the morning you're looking directly out these two big windows
into nature. You're looking directly into nature, simple as that. Coming down this direction we have
got a extended peninsula. Peninsula? Peninsula? Sounded weird. That is directly in front of the
window. It's got enough space for three bar stools or chairs there. Again looking out at the forest
and coming down this way we will see what they've got for cooking in this thing. All right, you've
got the two burner cooktop there, you've got the microwave down below and then that pretty much
sums it up. No oven but that's okay because you can make a lot of stuff work with what they've
got here. As far as storage goes, cabinet there. I do like these blue cabinets that match the built-in
at the front door. Shelves up above, there's the vent for if you burn something or you're just
running a lot of steam, it's going to be handled. On the other side they've got the dishwasher.
Bigger sink than I was expecting honestly and they have got a little bit of prep space
right there for building out whatever you're going to be eating for whatever meal you're
going to be eating. Above the sink they've got three drawers. Not a, I think this is called an
apartment size fridge so it's not the bar fridge that you see in some hospitality units and it's
not the full-size fridge that you'll see in a residential home. Yep, that's an apartment size.
Above that they've got a couple more shelves where they've got a toaster, another cooking
implement, there you go, and a kettle. I almost had to think what that was called. A couple more
shelves there for more design or decor type stuff and as I look back this way, a nice surprise that
maybe you weren't expecting right down here beside the main bed. So I'm going to flip the light on.
Yes, that's right. You can easily sleep four people in this floor plan because they've got
the little bunker room here and the way they've got it set up at Crazy Creek is this can be locked
off so if you don't want the extra space you don't have to take it. I'm not sure how much it
is to add the bunker room if you do need it but it's an option or an add-on so you can have just
the main space or you can have the bunker room as well. You're going to bring the kids, it's available
so that's kind of cool. Now as I look up they've got the wood accent on the ceiling which has been
in both of the cabins that I've been here, that I've been in here at Crazy Creek even though they
were built by different manufacturers and both times I was a fan of the look. So coming into the
bathroom they've got the toilet with the window up above, corner shower here. I wonder if this swings
or slides. Okay, oh I'm not going to do that. They've got this ready for a guest so I don't want to
mess that up but we know what a shower looks like. They got the black hardware in there
and yeah this is ready to go. Under the sink is open for towels, toilet paper and they've
got the raised sink on top of the counter on the vanity and of course the mirror up above
for doing mirror type stuff. All in all this is a very usable floor plan. It's nice and wide open
you know you come out here with a date or a long-term significant other whatever situation
you're in. I'm not really into speaking on relationships on this channel but yeah there
you go. Here's a look at the floor plan which is always the perfect opportunity to hover over the
subscribe button and then click down. It's free 99 and does help out the channel a lot which is
greatly appreciated. Big thank you to everyone that decided to watch this video. Now let's get
to the pricing. There you have it folks the Monashie at Crazy Creek Resort. A 350 square
foot prefab cabin that is available for nightly rental and was built by Rover Tiny Homes. Hope
you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for watching. We'll see you in the next one.
