In the video today, I'm going over what to do
if your screen freezes or your touch screen
is not working properly on your Samsung Galaxy S26.
So, you're gonna hold down on the power
and the volume down button
until the screen totally shuts off, just like this.
Power, volume down, one, two, three, hold.
You'll see this pop up, continue to hold the buttons.
This will bypass everything on screen
and after about 10 seconds it will,
you'll see the screen go black
and basically the phone has just powered off.
This is triggering what's called a soft reset.
It's not gonna erase any of your data,
it just turns the phone off, turns it back on
and this is an easy way for it
to basically reset the software.
So, if you have a software glitch
that's causing your screen to not work properly,
this usually will fix it.
Now, usually you'll see the logo pop back up,
the phone will turn right back on
but it doesn't always happen.
So, if it doesn't, wait about 10 or 20 seconds.
If you still don't see that logo,
simply hold down your power button
and this will turn the phone back on.
There we go, there's our Samsung logo.
So, this should fix software related issues.
If there was an app that was crashing
that might have caused the screen to not work properly,
this usually is the easiest fix.
However, if when you turn the phone back on,
the touchscreen is still not working properly,
then you might have a hardware issue.
Now, if you've ever dropped the phone
and you have nicks and dings on the screen,
then I would tell you take your phone
to a local service and repair shop
and basically have them test the screen
to see if that is the issue
and if so, they can give you a quote on replacing it.
But usually, if it's software related,
this little fix is what will shut the phone off,
turn it back on and you'll be good to go, all right?
If you got value out of this video,
bump that like button down below.
This is just one of many videos I've made on the S26.
