World War II With Tom Hanks _ Premieres Memorial Day 2026

For six dark years, the world was on fire. A conflict that toppled empires and reshaped the modern world. No part of the globe was untouched. No life unchanged. The Second World War is the largest event in human history. It is massive on a scale no one's ever seen before. They have to fight every climate from the Arctic to the jungles of the Pacific to the deserts of Africa. It's a war of annihilation. This is murder on an industrial scale. But each death is uniquely suffered. Churchill makes an appeal to Roosevelt. We need to stop it. There can be one victor and one vanquish. The Japanese commanders ordered their soldiers not to take any prisoners. In Stalingrad, women are very much part of the Red Army effort. They learn to shoot, they become snipers. They saved that which is most valued by us all. Freedom. World War II changed everything. For all of us.
