Jason walks through a 1966 Ford Bronco sitting on a completely custom, one-of-one chassis that FFG designed from scratch. This is a full independent front suspension setup using upper and lower control arms and knuckles pulled from a current-gen Bronco, paired with a Coyote motor and full 4x4 — all on a chassis FFG built for the first time.
The owner had been eyeing this Bronco for years before finally convincing his buddy to sell it. When it came in, the body needed more work than expected — new fenders, hood, doors, and quarter panels just to get back to square one. From there, the build plan got serious: metal fender flares (not plastic), a roll cage, flush mount glass, custom rock sliders, custom billet door handles, and custom billet mirrors with a late-70s nod. He wants this thing fully functional — spare tire carrier, driveable anywhere, no trailer queen.
There's also a color coming on this build that FFG has never done before. Never painted it, never done an interior in it. Jason's keeping that one close to the chest for now.
Stay tuned — this one's going to be something special when it all comes together.

Hey everybody, we got a 1966 Ford Bronco, Gen 1 Bronco lovers. We're going to break this down
for you because we got some really cool features like a one-on-one chassis, a lot of custom parts.
Let's check it out. All right, Jason with FF Intergarage and we have a 1966 Gen 1 Bronco,
the first year of the Bronco. And honestly, this customer, he had this Bronco, he'd been eyeing it
for a lot of years. He finally convinced his friend that, hey, let me buy it. He buys it,
talks to me about a build, convinces me. He's a good friend, convinces me. We're going to go
ahead and do a build with this thing. So I said, all right, you're signed up. I'll sign up. And so
we're signed up. Here we are. So he brings us over. He's so excited about how good it is and how nice
it is. And obviously he's surprised as, as I was a little bit, but also not surprised because
honestly you just can't see everything under paint. You don't know a full history of what's
been going on and there's a lot of gremlins. And so we had to start with new fenders and a new hood
and new doors and some new quarter panels. But hey, when it's all said and done, we got it to
a square one, which works for us. And so one of the things we wanted to do is we wanted to kind
of widen the fenders with metal fender flares, not plastic fender flares. And cause we got some
really fun things we wanted to do with this. And then we want to design a brand new chassis, but
obviously comfort, he wants to drive this a lot. And so having a nice, comfortable ride is really
important. So we worked hard. We designed an independent front suspension. We've already
had a chassis done for a two-wheel drive. And then of course he wanted to maintain a four-wheel drive.
And so we've got a pretty sweet independent front suspension. We've taken the upper lower control
arms and the knuckle out of a current Bronco. And we've got Wilwood brakes front and back.
And of course we've got, you know, the, the Bronco, you know, front differential up here,
tucked real tight in there. So it's real tight, but we've got it all put in here. And of course
we've got the big old Coyote motor in here and everything fits and a pretty doggone close for
our first attempt at a one-on-one chassis. A few little things that we got to kind of tweak when
we get ready to get the body off, but we're pretty happy about it. Nice transaxles up front that
special size. We've got those put together where we're able to confirm ride height and get those
measured and ordered up. So that's been done. And of course we're now double-checking our radiator
and fitment here. And so we've got all that ordered up. We're going to run a hydro boost here
and we also are, you know, we've got our steering column that's going to sneak down right through
there. So anyways, a lot of work, a lot of room here. And at the end of the day, we are really
excited to get this thing going. So let's talk about some of the features that we did on this.
So we've got right here, we've got this, you know, filled in because it's typically lowered here. So
we've got this all filled in here. We got some, you know, the fender flares here. We've got a
roll cage that we've installed. He wants the safety of a roll cage. And so we've got, it's
locked. So we've got a roll cage in here. We are going to be doing a flush mount glass, some cool
rock sliders, and a lot of cool things, you know, that we're really excited about doing. But
it's a really solid vehicle at the moment. We're just kind of going through some of the fit and
finish of things. So we can hopefully within the next 30 days, have this back to the body shop
and they can go to town on it and get going. So there's a lot of work to be done still.
We've got some custom door handles we have that we'll be using on it. Not those, obviously,
but we've got some custom door handles designed and some custom billet mirrors that we'll be
using on it. That'll be kind of a nod between that, you know, late 70s era and a little bit more
kind of what you might expect, you know, today a little bit. And so we've got a spare tire carrier
that is going to be on this thing as well so that we can have a spare on it. He wants it to be
functional, useful and drive this thing anywhere and everywhere. So follow along pretty short
little video for you today just but want to give you a little update on this and just kind of show
you what's happening with it and what we're going to be doing. And we'll try to keep some more
updates on this in a couple weeks. We'll see if we can give you a little more updates on where
we're at some of these little things that have been installed and done and and what that chassis
looks maybe we can get it off the ground and then we can show you the details of it. So stay tuned,
follow along. This one's going to be really, really nice. We've got a special color that we're
going to be doing on this that we've never done before. We've never painted anything this color
before. We've never done an interior this color before, nor have I seen one done this color. So
we're really excited to, you know, spring that on you sooner than later, hopefully. So follow along,
please like, subscribe, stay up to date. We've got a lot of builds going on and a lot of updates
we're going to try to get you. Take care.
