And so now to the Swedish team, Mila Rudd-Raitan and Nikolai Amirov.
As a couple, off the ice, the choreographer Andrei Vaturi wanted to use the classic
Romeo and Juliet, but coming up with the reverse, telling the story backwards like a rewind,
starting from her death at the beginning of the program and tracing it back to their very first
That's me.
This team is the best Swedish dance team I've ever seen, number one.
Number two is forget about the singles thing that he did in Olympics here.
I know that, but they've been together for three years.
There was no indication at all that this team had not been skating for 10 or 15 years.
The connections, the transitions, every moment and the emotion between the two of them,
the skating skills.
This is a very, very strong team.
And I think they might even have another quad, another Olympic cycle in them.
So I don't know what the score will be.
That's just my opinion.
I thought they were outstanding.
What do I know?
Well, it's so interesting because Mila Rudd-Raitan skates with such beautiful
positions to show kind of quintessential ice dance.
And maybe that's the reason that Nikolai Amirov has stylistically transformed so much
from a single skater, but he doesn't look mismatched to her.
They appear to complement.
Or indeed, he just his lead to the lead, follow the connection between the two.
But his lifting ability, he always made every lift effortless.
They didn't feel that he was actually lifting her.
She just floated into his arms.
That was really good.
We'll have to see what the score is.
But, you know, the room we own, Juliet, we've seen it abundantly in this discipline before.
Maybe because we know there are a couple of the ice is just delivered with such sincerity,
which if we go sport, consider if we think about the points and the commitment and the
engagement that defines the judges' component score for presentation has been given.
We see their choreographic slide.
I was worried that that wasn't sustained for quite long enough, but it's gone in the system.
So it's all good.
Yeah, there are five elements under review.
So some work being done by the technical panel and that can change the scores for sure.
Oh, my comments are just about overall impression.
But the details getting worked out right now.
And there as their choreographer, Andrea Abbattuti, had explained
the reverse of their story, taking a twist on the classic,
said it's an ode to life and to love, defeating death and reversing the flow of time.
Now the Twizzles two level two and four
dropped a little bit right there.
One and two in the one foot.
This is tight.
This is very close.
Oh, my goodness.
Yeah.
Look at that.
Oh, my God.
But they have got that little bit of mono.
I say a little bit.
They had only seven hundredths of a point above fourth place.
But now Yoshida and Marita are now down in fourth place.
So, OK, let's just figure out the result when we see it.
They need to see at least number two beside their name after the overall.
And that will secure them a spot in Milan.
There you go.
Simplification.
Yeah.
The total score has to have a two beside it and then they have a spot.
I mean, for us, it's just too emotional and tense to even work our maths.
Look how Rostislav Sinitsin, the coach, he's just cool as a cucumber.
Wow.
On the outside.
Yeah, he's doing a very good job of fooling me.
I think that I think they're intentionally delaying for suspense here.
No.
Let's see the judge.
Look, you see zero to ten.
Oh, my gosh.
It's just changed.
Scores have just changed again.
The inputs are changing constantly.
What I thought would happen is.
Oh, geez.
They're the first Swedish ice dance team to compete at Worlds since 1982.
Can they compete again?
It's 99.30.
That is fourth in the free dance.
Geez, that number just changed.
And it's a 168.60.
That is overall third place.
