Thrilling showdown decides Group A! | Australia - Korea Republic | Highlights AFC Women's Asian Cup™

Topping Group A of the AFC Women's Asian Cup is the target for host Australia. They meet Korea Republic with both teams on six points after two wins from two. Both know they're on their way to the knockouts. This meeting is a chance to show how ready they are for the pressures of the huge games that lie ahead. South Korea can break here. Jeon Yu-kyong down the left hand side. She's got support in the middle, but there are plenty of defenders around. The pass is pinned for Moon Eun-joo. She scored against the Philippines and she's bounding it again. The pass, inch perfect from Jeon to set that up. Australia corner towards the edge of the six yard box. Kim with a decent punch away. Carpenter will try and get it back into the mix for Australia. Kerr is still alive here. They cannot get it clear. Goree hits it on the volley and it's tough from close range. Kadee with a third of the tournament. Oh, it was so chaotic in the box and Australia never gave up on it. And they got their reward in the end. Goree's bouncer turned in from close range. Ford now turns on the ball for Australia. Look at how she powers forward away from the Koreans. And there's Kerr into the bottom corner. Australia's record scorer strikes again. Australia have turned the score line upside down in Sydney. How's that for a display of character from the hosts? Late first half turnaround. Suddenly it's a halftime lead. Korea Republic on the move. Kang, the halftime substitute, skipping away. The shot deflected. That hit the arm of Courtney Nevin on the way through. VAR is having a look. The hand was not in a neutral position. Korea Republic are going to have a chance from the penalty spots. Kim Shin Ji to step up and take it against Arnold. Sends the keeper the wrong way. And sends Korea Republic back to the top of Group A on goal difference as it stands. They would be staying in Sydney for the quarterfinals. Korea Republic with their tails up now. The cross is over. Everybody can change him, can collect it. Kang. Oh, she's buried it too. She's dispatched it perfectly. The strike arrows past the Australia keeper. And it's Korea Republic's turn to come from behind to lead in an enthralling contest in Sydney. What an impact the Korea Republic substitutes have had so far. Australia with time running out. Nevin is flicked on by Kennedy. And Kim comes up with a brilliant stop. Springing across to her left. Headed on now by Amy Sayer into the box it goes. Kira might get to it. It falls for Kennedy. There's a bit of stoppage time. It might not be enough to take them top of the group, but it's an important mental marker nonetheless. Take a breath after a six goal thriller. Korea Republic win the group by a single goal. We're going to be seeing plenty more of these two teams in the knockout stages.
