I recently picked this up from someone (used) and got it out to the field for a maiden flight. It's an interesting-looking airplane and I thought it would be a fun flier like the F-86 Sabre.

High rates, mid, low, low, mid, gears working, flaps, check. Okay, so pull right, pull left, pull back, pull forward, right, left. I've done it, but I want to confirm the gyro. Yes, yes, yes. Okay. All right, let's get it in the air. I'm going to test the reverse thrust too. I'm going to take off left to right. I need to fix the steering wheel. It's moving a little to the right, but no biggie. That thing rolls. Okay, how about a reverse thrust? Back up into my parking spot. Okay. All right, winds from the right, so here I go taking off. It's pulling to the left quite a bit. Get her up there. Hands off. There's a lot of right. Everything was neutral, like lined up pretty well when I first applied a lot of right. Hands off. Much better. That's pretty much trimmed out. All right, bring her down low here. Let's try a roll. One. Okay, it wasn't as much as I thought. I guess maybe I should put in some more aileron. Elevator feels okay. Let me test the flaps out. So go up here. All right, flaps going down. Mid flaps. Oh, it does pitch down. Note to self, have to tweak that. In the manual it said, oh, there's no requirement for flaps with elevator trim, but I might change that myself. I want to see how it stalls. So I'll turn up here. I'll go straight for a minute here. Now I'm cutting back on the throttle and slightly pulling back. Just back a little bit. Okay. Nose is down. Maybe it's my sunglasses, but this thing seems to disappear in those turns. Got about another minute left, so I'll do another two circuits, I think, and then I'll land. Wind's from the right, so I'll do one more circuit and then I'll get ready for landing. I'll do a figure eight pattern. I didn't do full throttle, so I'll do that coming by us. I'll try a full throttle pass and just see what that's like. Okay, going up. Full throttle now. All right. Thirty seconds. All right, so gear going down. Put it in low rate so I don't over control. Flaps going down. There we go. Reverse thrust. All righty. Flaps high rate.
