This International Women’s Day, we partnered with @LinkedIn to reflect on the women who’ve guided us, the strength they’ve modeled, and the support we’re committed to paying forward.
In this conversation, TIME CEO Jessica Sibley and her daughter Juliette explore the power of women supporting women and how appreciation can build confidence, momentum, and a lasting ripple effect. Their exchange is a reminder that our careers aren’t built alone—they’re shaped by those who open doors, recognize our potential, and advocate for us when it matters most.
When women mentor and champion one another, the impact carries across generations
Everyone needs women in their lives to empower them and support them on their journey.
That's my mom, my community, and all of the strong women who have come before.
I had to get a job before I graduated college. I applied to every advertising agency.
I'll never forget seeing the boss in the corner office.
I just said, I want to be her one day.
And there weren't any other women at that time in any corner office.
I have this brown box, and it stays with me wherever I am.
It's my treasure chest of appreciation for women in my life.
It's filled with handwritten notes from people that I've made an impact on.
I mean, LinkedIn's kind of like my little brown box. It goes with me everywhere, too.
I look for those voices on LinkedIn that inspire me, that just give me that moment of,
I can do this, I got this, tomorrow will be a different, better day.
I think a little appreciation goes a long way, and I'm always trying to pay it forward.
I just this week helped someone get a job.
That was really special to see this person have this career-defining moment, and I get to be part of her story, too.
Paying it forward is the most important thing, professionally, personally, financially.
We need to show up for women and support women because that glass ceiling is still there.
It's important to be there for other women, especially on International Women's Day, but every day.
I wouldn't be where I am without the women who recognize something in me.
There's a power to being seen.
Mic drop.
