Off-roading the Rubicon Trail with Jeep!

So my sister and I are about to drive the Rubicon trail with Jeep Did you know the more people climb Mount Kilimanjaro then drive the Rubicon trail only about 7,000 people annually make this trek across the trail in a briefing yesterday They told us people die break limbs get stranded for days because they break apart on their vehicles What did we sign up for the only thing I am concerned about is the cell reception, but that's okay I packed a Starlink and a bag full of snacks now. Thankfully since we are doing this with Jeep They have pretty much everything set up. They have mechanics. They have spotters. They have guides So that's why I'm not really worried at all. So I guess with that let's get this adventure started right now We're gonna be heading to the airport to get on a helicopter and it's gonna drop us where our vehicles are. This is so wild Helicopter ride was successful and we made it to the camp or all of the Jeeps are this is my and Jenna's look at it It's blue we're about to head off on this adventure we have no cell reception don't know what's gonna happen But that's the fun of it, right? I don't even know what to expect Look at all these Jeeps throughout the afternoon. You're gonna hear a lot of terrible noises. They're extremely nerve-wracking and Will rake on your ears. However, that's what these vehicles are built for When we're out there that first time that that hits and you hear that squeaker that squealer that bang You put you get used to We're about to take off cameras are mounted I'm driving first They're telling me all of these things and I'm like you do realize I've never done this before slow is fast fast is slow Wow our first obstacle, oh my gosh, look we're gonna be going on that. Are they telling me to go? I can't see anything below me though All right Like it looked like I was going into the like straight into the water. Thank you We have to do this for four hours, no, we get to do this for four hours we know we have to now because we're here I think so Because it doesn't feel like you should be able to do now what we're doing. No, it doesn't yeah, I got thumbs up So you're good No, the thumbs up We'll get to the fun stuff in a minute. Oh boy. That wasn't fun There's so much adrenaline I after each one like I literally like I'm gonna cry I felt like the biggest one yet because it feels like you just like we're in a car accident Dude I feel like I had a heart attack We're so close to the water I have a headache I just want to floor it. Okay. I don't think that's So loud We're now taking a small break they packed us little box lunches very very cute I've got a little turkey sandwich in here. My anxiety is so high like it's not really anxiety It's more like adrenaline so every single time you go over top of like one of these rocks It's like and then you come down. It's it's literally feels like a car accident It feels like you're not supposed to be doing it. You're not supposed to be but I guess you are in these Jeeps fighting international is difficult Compared to what what you just did Look at that Starlink all set up Jenna's driving now We're in the middle of nowhere and the fact that I have a satellite just sitting right here in the front of the dashboard It's pretty wild anytime. We ever thought we went off-roading. We did it There we go Jenna's driving now That's a big rock That's good place for bears my seatbelt has activated into safety safety, I've been wishing mine would We're almost there they are almost here just five hours later You guys are headed to camp nice right now your camp is right up here But I have to ask you what was your favorite part of the trip? Oh the fact that we survived We made it well halfway this is where we camp for the night and then we continue on tomorrow actually we hike okay We hike I'm sweaty. I'm dusty crazy. This was an incredible experience. I can't wait for tomorrow Made it to the top. Here's all of our tents. Everything is all set up. It is like a never-ending adventure. Hey, how's it going? Oh my gosh, so good. So there are bear spottings here Friendly the tent setup is so cute. They've got a little cot for us a little seat and all of the amenities Check this out. This is the shower situation that they have all set up. They've got barrels of water They've got the shower here and now I'm gonna get clean before dinner We made it down for dinner. So our actual camp is all the way up here It takes about 10-15 minutes to hike up. Oh a starling or something else. That's pretty crazy They have a piano that they flew in like there's somebody There was a point today that I was worried, oh jeez, I hope that they have enough food for all of us This is the biggest steak ever Jenna has a whole pasta meal over here We just had dinner time for dessert, we've got pie ice cream time to feast and go to sleep Her little tent I sat down. It was real nice and comfy. Yeah, you look like you do look so comfy in there It is officially time for bed. I'm exhausted today was so much fun. And we have another full day tomorrow I'm gonna get some sleep. Hopefully it doesn't get too cold and wake up bright and early for breakfast night night Good morning, everyone. It is the next day. I did not sleep I think at all my aura ring asked me if I took a nap and I was like, yeah I guess that's what you want to call it. We have another trek back to the hotel today So it's gonna take us I think about maybe five or so hours and hopefully the trails a little bit easier They said that the first part of the trail is gonna be just as difficult as it was at the beginning yesterday I've also got my little boo-boo. They both are decked out in their gear I think they actually dress better than I did for this trip. Just had breakfast everyone had their coffee And now we're on our way We're sideways right now. I mean it is This is a 10 out of 10 difficulty Jess. I've never even done a 1 out of 10 in my life This next obstacle looks like We're literally going straight up into the air All I have to do is do exactly what he's telling me to do It's gonna feel a little wonky. Yep. Yeah Just pause for a moment. Look how pretty. Look at the mountain. Don't look at the mountain Straight he's telling you up there straight. I see him. I see him That was the hardest one yet. That was insane. Oh my dear god Dude there's some lights up here. There's some purple lights. What's happening? Hey Just asking for a friend. How much longer do we have? We're just trying a little something just trying something to take the edge off So you stop for like a little pit stop here and we put the Starlink up on this the roof Dude, I had 90 down 5 up. Oh I've so much dust in my lungs I Have never been so happy to be driving on like a paved road right now Look how smooth this is dude. How crazy does it feel you feel weird? No, I feel like I'm like the best driver in the world now I mean you just completed one of the hardest trails. Take me to the Ritz. Ah, oh my goodness We've made it back to civilization. There's pavement. There's pavement We're almost there You should have put our at so people could find us You're just gonna be too long. No, you got it. You have extra space fellow for fun We did it There's a stop sign. Oh my gosh a stop sign. Make sure you stop. I have to stop. Yeah, we're cruising. I Truly can't believe that we made it back in one piece. The Jeep has survived. We have survived And now it's time to go and just shower. I cannot wait Is this your cable or my key? That's my cable.
