Juicy chicken caramelized glaze and it's done in 15 minutes in one pan.
This honey glazed chicken comes together fast and it is mouth-watering and I'm craving some
honey chicken so let's get started. To get the most flavor in your chicken we're going to score
it into a diamond pattern. Make shallow diagonal cuts across the top then turn the chicken and cut
the opposite way. This helps it cook faster more evenly and also opens up the meat so your
seasonings can get deep inside for a perfect juicy result. Season both sides with salt and
freshly cracked black pepper then lightly dredge in flour. Make sure you get a good even coating
and tap off the excess. Coating the chicken in flour seals in all those juices while creating
a golden crust that helps your honey glaze thicken and cling to every single bite. Transfer your
dredged chicken to a plate and we're gonna do some quick prep. I like to have everything prepped and
ready to go before we start the stove. Mince your garlic cloves and the easiest way to peel these is
to smash them with the side of your knife. The skins will slide right off. If your garlic is a little
bit out of season and has a green center you'll want to remove that because it can make your
garlic a little bitter. The rest is usable. Set a large skillet over medium heat then melt in three
tablespoons of butter. Swirl the butter so the milk solids don't splatter because they get trapped
under the fat layer and then they- we don't want that. Add the chicken scored side down and cook it
for five to six minutes on the first side or until it's golden. That little bit of flour on the surface
helps to create this beautiful golden brown crust. Flip and cook another four minutes or until nearly
cooked through. It should be about 10 degrees before the final doneness temperature. Add the
remaining one tablespoon of butter and your minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds or until
fragrant. Now add the remaining sauce ingredients. We have some honey, also apple cider vinegar, and
soy sauce. Stir that sauce together and let it simmer for about two to three minutes or until
it's thickened and the chicken is fully cooked through. Spoon that sticky sweet glaze over every
piece of chicken letting it soak into the grooves. Oh that sauce has thickened up beautifully and my
mouth is watering. I love how the sauce just clings to every bite of chicken. It's so good you
guys, I'm telling you. I do like to garnish with a little bit of chives. Just sprinkle it over the
chicken. It just looks real pretty and adds a little pop of flavor, a little pop of color. See, I told
you it'd be pretty. Okay and I just want to dig right into this. Let's get ourselves a generous
portion. Which one will it be? They all look good. Okay and we absolutely have to have more sauce
on top. Good thing there's a generous amount of sauce and if you're curious you can totally sneak
in a fourth chicken breast here. Kind of limited to the skillet size or use four smaller chicken
breasts if you want one per serving. These are pretty big. Look at that saucy delicious goodness.
Can't wait. Oh my mouth is watering. We're gonna enjoy this thoroughly and I want you to see just
how juicy this is. Look inside. It is so juicy and I love how cutting the crisscross on one side
like that helps the sauce penetrate even deeper and helps the chicken to cook faster especially
if it's a thicker piece of chicken like that. You can see the juiciness. Look at that. Okay this is
way too big for a bite. Okay I'm just gonna cut this in half real quick or I'm gonna be chewing
here for the next five minutes. Serving suggestion, every bite dip it in that sauce. Okay here we go.
Honestly since I started making this it's become our family's favorite chicken breast recipe.
My kids keep asking me to make it and you know that's a good sign. I love how like it's sweet
and a little bit savory. It's just so satisfying and you can use maple syrup if you don't want to
use honey. Both taste amazing so use whatever you have on hand. Comes together so fast you guys.
It's one of those recipes you can make on a busy weeknight and still be really excited to eat it.
I hope you guys love this for a new easy chicken dinner idea. Let me know if you guys have any more
recipe requests in the comments and what you would serve this with. Also let me know where
you spotted Sharky. We will see you on the next episode of Natasha's Kitchen. Back to this chicken.
My oh my. It's garlicky, it's saucy, it's easy and it's mouth-watering delicious.
Say honey. Come and get it. Sweet and sticky and just the way I like it. Extra sauce. Open up.
The behind the scenes. Okay. Cut.
