King Kai Stewart BKFC Reddit Interview

Hey, what's going everybody welcome back there because you read it asked me anything were joined by King Kai the hefty bag man himself Mr. Kai Stewart, how you doing, bud? Mmm, we're back. It's been a layoff. You know me. I do not like layoffs, but I had so much fun I traveled to every corner of the of the earth, you know because I mean my travel started in Dubai, so Good to be back good to be back on the media tour We are 13 days out or maybe even 12 days. I know whatever. We're two weeks out you know, I see it as two weeks out and Ready to go man. I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm a good spot. I'm in a great spot You know, I'm digging the new look like, you know Usually when I interview you're sitting in the living room or something like that You got like you've taken streaming really hard I see you streaming all the time on Twitch and YouTube and Facebook like you're going hard on the streaming just like an extra sort of revenue Yeah, and and just getting this face out there I know that bare knuckles still just we don't have a TV deal So I know that every little eye that I can have on me is gonna help me is gonna help the company And at the end of the day, I'm a company man, and I I love in the king of this ---- I love being the guy and I think that as long as I'm doing my part and putting my face on every single platform For multiple hours a week. I think that we're gonna see a lot More fighters do it and then as more fighters do it the sports gonna grow so we'll see You and I we haven't really talked I mean we've talked offline but like it's been about a year since we were hanging out in Dubai. Like what have you? Were you prepared for this long layoff? Is it that kind of come as a shock to you that you're gonna be off for so long a little bit? But I do want to say like as much as I was bitching online I like there were dates there were in fact dates There was a massive fight for knuckle mania and I just I that fell through and It it's just in business. You've got to expect ---- to go wrong. So Did I expect it? Absolutely. Not. Did I did I learn and grow from this? Absolutely So I'm in the best shape of my life. I put three back-to-back fight camps because I thought I had dates and Yeah, we're fighting back baby. It doesn't matter there the rearview mirror is smaller than the windshield for a reason and I think that 2026 is gonna be really fun. Whether I fight twice or three times. I will stay active I'm gonna I in my layoff and how noisy I got I got you know, some RAF opportunities on the horizon so I'm gonna be doing my job and my job is to be a professional athlete and That's the goal for 2026, you know 2025 set us up for a big rally in 2026 That RAF is really blowing up. I'm enjoying watching it and it's getting a lot of eyes like it's so is that How close to be coming to fruition is that for you? Well, I mean I if this fight wasn't gonna be announced I likely would have already had an RAF announcement So they're they're pretty they're they just know that my job Is BK FC like I am the BK FC world champion and that's what I have to take seriously first this fight came up RAF got put to the back of my mind and As soon as my hands are healed. I'm gonna assume Nico Gaffey does not cut me, you know Even if he cuts me, it's two weeks out after that. I'm on the wrestling mat. So Yeah, we're gonna we have I think something crazy in the works, but I'm really just like not worried about it Cuz you know Nico is tough as much as I talk ---- Nico's tough So I gotta I gotta do my best and have fun and go take care of business first You and I went over Dubai and we saw him dominate Brandon Allen Did you think that he was gonna be an opponent that was on the the horizon for you? Did because a lot of people were talking about if Brandon Allen had won he was gonna be fighting you next and then you know Nico decimated him. Did you think you'd be fighting him sooner? Did you he's a 135 or did you think that he'd go back? Down to 135. Did you see it a potential fight against me go? Um, I did I didn't think that Brandon Allen was ever a threat and the the fight that we saw is exactly the fight I knew Brandon Allen would lose He found something they wanted to move forward and Brandon Allen didn't do Anything like he does what he always tries to do. He tried to left hook knock somebody out. That's that's it and Even though Brandon Allen looked the worst He's ever looked there were moments in the fight where we saw that Nico really isn't that high level of a fighter I think Brandon Allen just had no foot on the gas. You know what I mean? Does if that makes any sense, I think that Brandon Allen cut angles I feel like he backed me go up a couple times We're like if he would have been doing that more from the start It would have been a much different outcome much different fight But we saw the fight where Brandon Allen was getting his ass kicked. It was the same thing I mean Timmy Mason was beating his ass The BYB champion beat his ass and then he knocked him out. Seth Schaefer was beating his ass So it didn't really surprise me. Did I think Nico was gonna be up there? Yeah, I thought that we might have seen another fight against a higher ranking opponent Maybe somebody with like four or five six fights instead of you know, the one and no guy that he fought for the European title So what weight class is that one? Was that European title out? Okay. Okay. That's what I thought. Okay, cool. So, um, at least he fought at featherweight that that was a big one. I I would have liked to see a ranked fight man And this is this is what I really like I wanted to fight Edgar Plazola everybody just ******* drools at the mouth at Edgar Plazola, but Edgar Plazola wasted my time and I basically demanded a fight. I didn't demand an opponent. I was ready for Edgar Plazola March 20th, and he wasn't ready. So That's that Nico got blessed an opportunity. Really. Is it frustrating being from Montana? Like we see some of these guys from yet like Philly and in Miami They get a kind of pick their opponents and you know, like I would like to fight this person that gets happened You have yet to do that. Like they tell you who you're fighting. Are you are you ready to start picking some of your fights? You know, I want to pick them in the best way Like I there's people that I'd really really want to fight, you know I want to pick if I could get the Sean O'Malley's the Cody Garbrandt's if I can pick those fights Of course, I'm gonna pick those high-level big names. That's scary a little bit. You know what I mean? You know all due respect to Tommy all due respect. I would have loved to see him get one more fight Just to build him a little bit more and I think with a little bit more of experience Tommy would have given me a better fight I just feel like he was not he didn't have the bare-knuckle specific experience to fight me and Whenever that name came across the table. I literally was like a I Love Tommy Tommy's a great human being but water like that was the first time I ever questioned opponent But it was literally because I thought they were gonna give me some killers, you know And and Tommy just wasn't that at the time I would have like I said just would have loved to see one more fight in him really really go put a stamp on being a number one contender, but But no, whatever. You said anyone you want don't say anyone you want back if it's at the 145 pound division There's absolutely nobody that scares me. Nobody that is gonna take what's mine. So it's like whatever send them Let me let me just inch closer to that 10 10 world titles because I will be piggybacking on that equity deal III heard there was an equity deal at 10 world titles and I'm gonna be circling back to The thing that was frustrating for me I was with Tommy over there and in his main coach from South Africa said we are gonna out Cardiocai and I knew at that point like this is a bad game Yeah that yeah, and that but I I think Nico thinks he's gonna out dog me. So I think it's a another Another bad game plan. It's also said he's gonna outclass me and I just you know, we saw his technique He doesn't have the technique He's a little brawler is what he is and like I have to respect the little brawler But like I thought Tommy stride him was small, but this guy's ******* tiny compared to Tom So like give me a brick like give me a break guys Yeah, whatever whatever When we were over in Dubai, did you kind of size up Nico? I I met him at breakfast one time and I was like this guy's a lot more like petite You know a smaller guy than I thought on TV. Yeah, I you know, I Not really to be honest. I I ran him to him at weigh-ins is the only time that I saw the dude and Like I thought he was some kid at the event like enjoying the show and then all of a sudden he was on stage I was like what the **** like that's the level of sizing up I did was I thought he was a child So I don't like I said, I don't want to disrespect him because I know that he's tough I know he's gonna come and hopefully try to take my head off. So I Was just in another interview and I said I need these guys to come at me with the absolute best They possibly have so I can show people how ******* good I am like in the past, you know, I haven't People haven't fought me the way that I expect them to fight me So it hasn't I haven't even got to train. I haven't even got to fight how I train I don't train moving straight forward the entire time. I don't I don't So maybe this is the time where I can step back and take this guy's head off. You know what I mean? nobody's pressed me and I think that's what Nico's gonna do and it's About to be a rude awakening. So You know a couple people have reached out and they're like, oh Nico's Nico's gonna put it on Kai and I was like If you bet against the King Kai Stewart like you must hate your money because everybody wants you to lose and yet you make everybody Look foolish. Yeah, I Love I love that we can bet on my fights I can't bet on my fights, but all you guys can bet on the fights and I do think they're given their hype and Nico Up, I think people are really believe that he's gonna be my toughest challenge And I think you guys are gonna be able to bet on King Kai at a discount So I would do it. I would do it immediately. I think I'd still definitely gonna be a favorite as a five-time world champion I have more title fights and he has fights in the organization, you know So I do believe to be a favorite but I by the by the time markets close I'm gonna be a massive favorite unless there's some cry do know that Spain is as some crazy money over there So maybe they they rally behind the underdog odds on Nico, but I don't see that I just don't see that happening. I have too many big big hitters that love the gamble Why take the fight in Miami? Were you hoping I mean, we haven't seen a Montana card for a while Do you enjoy getting out of Montana and going to Miami or is it something like I mean? Neither one of you guys is from Miami. Is it fun to headline a card out there? But like I said, what's the draw for you fighting in Miami? Oh, really? I think that it came from we were gonna have Edgar Pozzola Fighting across for me and I am just I'm not I was gonna be very upset I I was I Came across as upset But I was still just kind of playing the game trying to bet like not beg for a fight But like hype people up to get the fans interested in a fight But if I would have had to have another layoff, I would have been very very angry So really it's just like this one is to stay active. I do think that they're gonna try to Putting me and Duran on the same card and he has somebody that he should knock out pretty quick I just think that that's setting up Duran and King Kai too, which I don't know how it makes sense But if it does like as long as I'm getting paid more because I know that he sells a lot of tickets So that's gonna be something that our contract negotiations can Can figure it out because I know that Duran makes a lot of ticket sale money But he couldn't do it without like he can't do those ticket sales without me He hasn't sold multiple records other than the card that he was on there with me so there's got to be some sort of percentage share or something to make that make sense financially because On paper, I'm gonna **** him up again. I'm gonna it's gonna be so bad if I fight Duran again But if I can make an extra bag, of course, I'll go into his hometown and break him again, whatever Talk to me about you said you had three camps. That's a lot of money Are you just very fortunate that you have the sponsors that were able to like kind of help from that because you don't you you did Only fight once enemy in training camps expensive and you you don't you don't train where you're at You're I saw you were in Canada you go train everywhere meal planning You know, like there's a lot that goes into these training camps to have the fight fall off It's more or less. I have a very very valuable team We all expect me to be a million million dollar fighter. I'm gonna be a million dollar fighter one day so I have My coaches have bent over backwards for me because they they see what the public doesn't see behind closed doors. They see how Intentional I am with every move that I make every everything that we train is gonna be which I do still Game plan mostly by myself. I take I take hints of of a Muay Thai coach of an MMA coach my wrestling coach my boxing coach and then I make the game plan and then I have my boxing coach is also my main pad holder and he He just he's been a baller and lets me do my thing. He listens to my game plan and Financially, we've all kind of made a little backdoor deals. I definitely pay them, but I'm not paying them crazy like some fighters have to My work my work, you know, I know that they've gotten a lot of extra business in their gym With me like with me training out of there they they they upgraded there's like so there's been a lot of really really cool things But at the end of the day, I just have a great team great sponsorship pool and you know My girlfriend still works an at-home job Just to you know, make sure that I can do three back-to-back camps. You know what I mean? So yeah, it's it's a it's a combination of you know, I I camp on a budget I guess like my meal plans are tend to be pretty cheap. So I go shoot my own Deer and elk so all my ground all my ground red meat all my steaks come like not free but you know a cost of a tag and a couple rounds, but Yeah, we're we're sitting pretty good pretty good. Just say because this is my job. This is my job training every day is my job. So pretty much just the intensity changes intensity changes and that's that's what Camp is for me the traveling. I've had a couple great sponsors help with all the travel To make sure I can go to Canada Canada was a blast ******* loved Canada. Can't wait to go back I'm gonna help a man's a hobby beat the **** out of Sean O'Malley. Okay fun. Yep. Are you a better? Bare-knuckle fighter or Arc Raiders player? Ooh I'm ******* disgusting at Arc Raiders But I'm definitely I I gotta I gotta probably just say I'm a bear a better bare-knuckle fighter. I'm undefeated There's a couple big-name undefeated fighters on the roster you got joy boy who's calling you out and then you have mr Jamal herring or Jamal herring He was calling you out either of those fight interest you and if you were to fight either guy Do you fight him at 45 or 35? Man, oh man. Oh man, Jamal herring actually called me out or did he call me out on behalf for Rivera? I talked to him and he said that you were a fight that he was definitely interested in nice. Hell. Yeah Well, he's a bigger name than joy boy, but joy boys, you know, he technically has more wins than me on paper so I think that that's a fight I want to get because that puts the best of the undefeated against the best of the undefeated and I as much as I don't believe that that's the case on paper It'll look really frickin good whenever I beat somebody that has more wins than me Undefeated he's another champion. That'll give me another belt. So I would love the joy boy fight I just it have to like people like that the one timers compared to a five timer They don't get to make the decisions. Okay, like I would go down to 135 I go down to 135 and in route to the first BKFC triple triple C first BKFC three-division champion, I don't think Lorenzo did that did it right you did to do not he's just to Hell yeah Let's go. Who do you see? I mean so clearly you want to go down and get 35 and then going up to 55 Who do you see winning against trout verse Ben Bonner? I got to go with my dog trout I like Ben Bonner. I say my dog trout is if I hate Ben Bonner I love Ben Bonner's fights against Tony Soto because he just proved me right every time a little salty because he took that That eight-day notice fight for me. I was ready to be a two-division champion I think that would have changed the course of my life, but I Got to go with trout. I hope trout speeds it up a little bit I hope the cut isn't too terrible on his brain Especially him getting a little bit older because Ben Bonner has some cannons on him. But once the the second fight with Ben Ben Bonner and Soto was just kind of lackluster and I believe that's because Feldman said this fight is For whoever's fighting trout next and then that pressure built so world title fights even more pressure And I think Ben Bonner is gonna is gonna feel that and Trout's gonna get it get the job done Trout's a dog like I hope trout I hope trout wins But if trout wins that kind of delays me from going to 155 Not that I wouldn't fight trout him and I actually agreed to a gentleman scrap, but he's my dog. He really is my dog I like Austin a lot too. I talked to Ben. He said his hands are dinged up So he's going to be out indefinitely. So who knows when that fight happens Well, he really said he's out for that long, huh? I Talked to him last week. He said my hands are really dinged up and I don't know when we'll be back so like that's what sucks so like I mean like It's cool that they did Soto versus Ben Bonner But also like I mean they should have gave us in an interim fight against somebody, you know I mean he was a champion and like again He's kind of getting your treatment where you just sit him on the sideline and who knows when he fights. Yeah for real for real Well, maybe he does need a gentleman scrap, you know, maybe we can figure something else out after this fight Like I said, I gotta focus on little Nico. No, I but I did I would absolutely I I can entertain any weight class any belt 65 is just a little bit too big maybe in my later career whenever I you know I'm still 25. So I haven't even hit my hit my crazy prime my my my growth so I do believe that one day I can win any belt that I've you know, feel fit and Yeah, we'll go from there I don't feel it's lack of Feldman trying But do you think we ever see one of these UFC guys that you continue to call out? Decide to take off the gloves and come now. Oh 100% because bare knuckle is just getting so much clout whether it be from Andre our loss key our Andre our loss key and then Rothwell's fight Or if it's our homegrown talent doing our thing, I'm getting a lot of Really high level supporters, you know, Dwight Howard follows me Shane Gillis follows me. I'm Bringing eyes. So all it takes is just a few more wins I'm still only eight and a nine and O is a combat sports professional Some of these guys have 20 25 fights. Sure. So, um, so I just think they're gonna have to respect it soon And I do believe that within my my five fight deal We will see a super fight But I I think that the super fight will be something blockbuster and it'll be for you know Maybe TV maybe bare knuckle gets a TV deal and we shred the contract and we do a massive super fight King Kai verse the ******* world anybody literally anybody they want me to fight Anyone no gloves, that's my one rule I feel like that's a good rule my one rule is I take the gloves off like that's not even me being a bitch That's like less than being a bitch as a fellow streamer like Connor said. Hey, we're gonna get a video game I want to know where the **** that video games that because I want to start streaming some bare knuckle FC Bare knuckle like a video games just cost so much money to actually produce and you got to get one of like it I also think it's like kind of a cult, you know, look how many of these Series pop off, but then other games flop that are actually pretty good games But if they're not part of this this and this almost like TV deals Almost exactly like TV deals if you don't have like a massive company backing you But I don't see how they wouldn't want the stand like everybody prefers the UFC video game stand in bang mode. So Like bare knuckle is so close to breaking out and I think with the bare knuckle video game a bear like bare knuckle trading cards I know a lot of that stuff is in the works. I know the trading cards are for sure in the works but I think that the video game will be huge because I That is I don't play sports games You'll never see me play a sports game on my live and that will be a game that I will grind and I will be a 99 overall and I will play as myself and never ******* lose You can't lose if you don't get tired and you don't get hit and those are the two things that I'm ******* really good at It's you know, people are talking like Oh Nico's a power punch You know, I see you as having so many more ways to win this fight I mean Nico has said, you know get you with a one punch and and we've seen you get hit hit hard You know, I mean the one thing that everybody keeps it kind of agreeing is Nico does have the power But we've seen you in there with guys I'm gonna say like Brian Oran is a much larger gentleman. So even if he's not throwing his punches as properly He landed some big shots I mean, he's just has more weight behind it and just from a from a physical statistical standpoint that that's a way more brutal punch so You know, he's he's a volume punt like he he land He has to land a big shot for him to be confident in his flurries And I just don't see him landing those big shots and whatever we're at the at the highest level We all have power, you know, I may not knock people out But everybody says they damn sure know that they got hit by me So I just not putting people out, but I'm still hitting them hard as ****. So whatever No, you look at everybody's face that you fight and they like you said they might not be knocked out But their face is lumped up and you look relatively unscathed every fight Yeah, I like we're gonna slice Nico up the game plan really is to become the storm break him slice his face Have a good day. Go party. Go go play blackjack. Like that's literally our night game plan. Whatever Doesn't matter what he'd what he shows. I we adapted we overcome we have game plans a through Z 1 through 100. So it's whatever At the highest level just like in in the NFL The best team in the NFL can lose to the worst team on any given day because at the end of the day They're all professional athletes You have a very loud and obnoxious fan base. They were right behind me and Tommy when we were in Dubai Will they be traveling with you for this fight out there to Miami? Oh, yeah yeah, all the expensive seats are gonna be with King Kai fans and Yeah, man some sometimes They definitely get kid there they are awful they hey they they get the job done I know that they had They got in Jimmy's head as well. They gave Jimmy some bubblegum because he said Here to kick ass and chew bubblegum and I'm all out of bubblegum And so after the fight they ******* handed him bubblegum on his way out It was fucked up, but you know at the end of the day those fans are what is gonna drive Drive bare-knuckle to have superstars and the more crazy the fans are the crazier that it whether it Respectful disrespectful. I just hope that nobody like put like no physical violence in the crowd my first my first world title I think I believe there was five to seven arrests. I think that there was officially tallied. So, uh, let's not well that was Louie Lopez versus King Kai City a city divided. Okay a city ******* divided and it showed there was a rest and So, yeah, my fans are great I I love them they ride for me whether they're respectful disrespectful They're they're gonna support me whenever you know, I'd earn it I've always been the outcast man Because of Joe Riggs and Louie Lopez like that whole thing like they actually turned so many people against me I've earned all those fans back. So the louder they are the Harder, I fight they say awful things. I didn't turn around but the the two other corners were not I was like, you know what? It's their job. They're just trying to get in our head, but they were one guy and He's a good dude, he's a good dude, that's my dog shout out canopy Kenneth canopy vapes You were just out in Philadelphia at bare knuckle when you was it just a fun trip where you kind of road map and what You guys saw 2026 they haven't in line. Like what was that about? I was already over on the East Coast in Montreal. I needed to get home I didn't want to take too much time away from my fight camp. So we just stopped in we did eat I had my first real Philly made by skinny Joey's. They took me in the back. They made me an awesome sandwich Was still because of all the fight camps that I took I was able to splurge on calories me and my girlfriend got to Experience Philly the first time experience knuckle mania and then it was off I Briefly talked to felt and it was it was all good things because I was there about the time that I was ready to actually Sign the contract. All right, so 2026 you you beat Nico. When do we see you back? We've heard about a super card coming up and you know, Mike Perry being on the card is that something you're interested in to or like you got the RAF thing that's here you're really excited about like what Do you have a game planned out or not yet? Well, I got to get through a couple things I have a great trip with me and my girlfriend for her birthday a late birthday gift to Hawaii We're actually gonna hit the the bare knuckle card. Usually we go for fight weeks To market myself the whole week This time where we land super late the night before the event and then we're gonna stay after the event to enjoy Hawaii for a few days, so We're gonna go do that. I have I never like I need to do more for this coach He's my middle school wrestling coach coach Searcy poo from potentially awesome who just logged on to our graders literally as I said his name That's hilarious that I got that notification He's getting married May 31st, so as much as I'm not gonna sit here and say I can't be in fight camp I'm hoping that that if that big card super card ends up late summer. We can do that I really don't want to be in camp or I want to be in relatively good shape going into the wedding So I can I just want to let loose for his wedding. Sure. This is the most important person in my life I'm a groomsman was gonna be the best man, but he knew that I have fight commitment So he goes we got somebody that's gonna do it for you But outside of that like I got I have to do this for him. He he works. He's so funny He has a job one to two weeks out of the year and that job literal job is to be my problem solver So he'll be the first coach in Miami with me So I got to go and do that after that. I have really nothing There is another wedding September 12th, but I can just fly in fly out for that one I don't have to let loose for it But I do want to see three if I could see three fights that's the goal but I I'm a main event fighter and as much as I I have found a little bit of respect for Mike Perry You guys might have seen the videos that I've been posting Could just be friends, right? No, I don't really want to be a co-main to anybody I'm a main event fighter I think I'm a really good I'm willing to if it you know If it's gonna be that that big of eyes if it's gonna be that big of an opponent then, you know Put me as co-main nothing less. So Yeah, let me fight three times this year and we'll Be in a really good spot Really good spot. All right.
