Hey guys, Spencer Coffman here.
Today I'm gonna show you how to list a marketplace listing
in a different state or location than where you reside.
So this is very helpful.
If you wanna do this, you can list in other locations
to try to reach more people,
get a broader audience, et cetera.
So this is on a desktop computer or a laptop.
If you wanna know how to do it on mobile,
you can check out a previous video I made.
There's a card here that will pop up,
so you can click on that and watch it on a mobile device.
This is how to do it on a desktop device,
so on the website version of Facebook.
So right now, we are in Marketplace.
You can see I logged into Facebook,
and then there's a little icon here,
Marketplace, touch it, and there we go,
or click it, and there we go.
And here, the location that I'm in for shopping
is Las Vegas, Nevada.
Now if you wanna change that, click on it.
Similar to mobile, type in whatever location you like,
and hit Apply.
So we're gonna leave that as is.
You can also go to your settings in Marketplace
and do that as well, but that's for buying.
We wanna know how to do it for selling.
So in order to do it for selling,
we're going to hit Create New Listing,
and hit Items for Sale,
and then we have a new pop-up of our preview
of what it looks like and all of the information.
So let's do Test Listing, and we're gonna get rid of that.
We wanna add a photo, so let's grab a photo from here
and drop it in.
It's a random photo, so this is Test Listing.
And you can see here, my location is Kansas City.
Well, this happened because I have my location
set from the last video I did on mobile to be Kansas City,
even though I'm shopping in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Now, how do we change that?
Well, on mobile, it was pretty simple.
You just change where you want it to be, so let's do it.
Let's continue on with this test,
and we're going to put in all of this information,
and then we're gonna hit Next,
and now we get to a spot that says Location.
So you can type this wherever you want.
Let's say we wanna list it in Los Angeles, Cuba.
You can list it there, in Angeles, Cuba.
You wanna list it in Moscow?
Let's try Moscow, Moscow, Russia.
Okay, let's do that, because we know that I'm in the U.S.,
so Next.
You could put it in any groups you want,
although I don't know why you'd wanna put it
in any Minnesota groups if you're listing it in Moscow,
Russia, so let's hit Publish, and it's loading.
Here we go.
Boost your listing.
You can pay to boost it.
I don't wanna do that, so let's go here
to My Listings.
There it is, right there.
Click on it, and we can see it is listed in Moscow, Russia.
So this is in review.
All listings go through a standard review.
That's okay.
We are gonna delete the listing,
because it's a test listing.
It would not get approved for review anyway,
but this is how you can list your items in other areas
and reach a broader audience to get more marketplace sales.
