Hi, I'm Miss Monica.
I'm a teacher and I love creating fun activities
that help us learn.
Today, I invited some friends to my classroom
so we can have some sensory fun with Play Foam Sand.
Come along and join the fun.
Here we go.
Hello, all my friends, wave your hands.
Wave, wave.
Hello, all my friends, wave your hands.
Wave up high, wiggle your fingers.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
Wiggle, wiggle, fingers.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
Wiggle, wiggle, stop.
And wiggle, wiggle, fast.
Wiggle, wiggle, fast.
Wiggle, wiggle, fast and stop.
And wiggle, wiggle, slow.
Wiggle, wiggle, slow.
Wiggle, wiggle, slow and stop.
Wave, hello.
Good job, high five, you did it.
Thank you.
Good job.
Welcome to the classroom.
Are you ready to have some fun?
Yeah.
And if you're ready to learn and have fun,
say yes, yes, yes.
One more time.
If you're ready to learn and have fun,
say yes, yes, yes.
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands.
If you're happy and you know it
and you really want to show it,
if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands.
If you're happy and you know it, stomp your feet.
If, oh, but we have to stay in our seats.
If you're happy and you know it, stomp your feet.
If you're happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
if you're happy and you know it, stomp your feet.
You did it!
If you're happy and you know it, shout hooray!
Hooray!
If you're happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
if you're happy and you know it, shout hooray!
Hooray!
Now guess what?
We're going to do all three.
Are you ready?
You can do it.
Acey, are you ready?
Yes.
Lily, are you ready?
Yes.
Okay.
If you're happy and you know it, do all three.
Clap, clap.
Stomp, stomp.
Shout hooray.
Hooray.
Good.
You got it.
All right, again.
If you're happy and you know it, do all three.
Clap, clap.
Clap.
Stomp, stomp.
Hooray.
Stomp, stomp.
Hooray.
One more time.
And one more time.
Can you do it one more time?
If you're happy and you know it,
and you really want to show it,
if you're happy and you know it, do all three.
Clap, clap.
You did it.
Remember, we talked about something called our five senses.
Our five senses help us learn about our surroundings.
Do you know the five senses?
Yeah.
Yes.
Oh, smell.
And what else did we say?
Go ahead.
Hear.
To hearing.
Yes, hearing.
And what else?
And take.
That's right.
So let's open up our ears.
This is called our sense of hearing.
Oh, do you hear that?
We have to be really, really quiet.
Everyone really.
A giraffe.
Listen to the giraffe.
We're using our imaginations.
Listen on this side.
Oh, good job.
Now we have to use our sense of smell.
Let's pretend we smell cookies.
Do you smell the cookies?
What kind of cookies do you smell?
Chocolate chip.
What do you smell?
Chocolate chip.
And what kind do you smell?
Oreo cookies and cupcakes.
Now let's use our sense of taste.
Let's pretend we're tasting grapes.
That's our sense of taste.
Yes.
Oh, but wait, there's another sense.
What's another sense?
Listening.
Yes, we tasted.
We smelled.
We were listening.
Ooh, we can see.
Oh, look over there.
Do you see the bird flying?
And look over here.
Look over here.
Oh, do you see the airplane?
Yes.
I see an airplane.
And a butterfly.
That's, ooh.
And a, wow.
Butterfly.
You see another one.
And over there too.
Good job using your sense of sight.
Oh, but there's another sense.
Guess what?
Hands up.
Can you hold your hands like this?
We're going to use our sense of touch.
Let's touch our knees.
Touch, touch, touch.
Touch your knees, touch your knees.
Where are your knees?
Can you find them?
Oh, there they go.
Touch, touch, touch.
And touch your shoulders.
Freeze.
Good.
And touch your nose.
Freeze.
You did it.
And hands down.
So today, we're going to have fun using our sense of touch.
And we're going to play with something really fun
called Play Foam Sand.
Play Foam Sand.
It's so soft.
It's super stretchy.
I love playing with this.
And guess what?
You can use your imaginations
and create anything you want using Play Foam Sand.
So we're going to use this Play Foam Sand
to spark our creativity.
Are you ready to have fun?
Yeah.
If you're ready.
All right, I think it's almost time.
Okay, let's sit down so we can go together.
And on the count of three,
we're going to go to our activity tables.
Can you help me count to three?
Yeah.
You can?
Are you ready?
Yeah.
One,
two,
three.
We're here.
We're at our activity tables.
Are you ready to have some fun?
I don't know if we're ready.
Let me ask you again.
Are you ready to have some fun?
Yeah.
For our friends at home who are watching us,
if you want to have fun, you can join us too.
You can get your Play Foam Sand
or any moldable compound you have.
Okay, friends, let's get our sand on the count of three.
Everyone ready?
Here we go.
One,
two,
three.
Oh, touch it, feel it.
How does it feel?
It feels fluffy.
It feels really soft.
I see grapes.
Oh, it feels great.
And what else?
Yes, and ice cream.
Guess what?
You can scoop with it and put your ice cream inside.
Yes, get ice cream inside.
It's time to spark creativity and have fun.
You can use Play Foam Sand or whatever you have at home.
Remember to use your imaginations
and create anything you want.
Now let's head back into the classroom
and see what the children created.
Do you like two scoops or one scoop?
Oh, you have to push it down.
Okay, good idea.
You like one scoop?
Oh, look what we can put.
We can put strawberries on top.
Ooh.
And cherries.
Ooh, what are you making, Amelia?
Oh, letter A.
What did you make?
Oh, what did you make?
You made ice cream.
What's on top?
Yes.
Little cookie sticks.
Yeah, or chocolate bars.
Guess what?
I have a game for us to play.
Can you all play a game with me?
Yes, all right.
So this is what we're going to do.
We're going to keep our sand in the tray,
but we're going to move all of the toys
and we're going to play a game with the sand, okay?
Are we ready?
Who's ready?
It's okay?
All right.
Well, we need to do our magic counting to three again
and then all of the toys are going to disappear.
Can everyone help me?
All right, count to three.
One,
two,
three.
Today, we're going to play a game called
letters and numbers.
Are you ready?
We're going to use our play foam sand
to create letters and numbers.
Once I show you,
you're going to try to create it with your sand.
All right, you ready?
Okay, here we go.
No peeking.
Can you create number,
do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do?
One.
Go, go, go.
Number one.
Create number one.
Number one.
Create number one.
Let me see it.
Oh, when you're finished, say finish.
Finish.
Whoa, number one.
Point to your number one.
Where is it?
Number one.
Let's see your number one.
Oh, finish.
Okay, when you're finished, you can tell us.
We'll wait.
Is it number?
What number?
Number one.
Clap for yourselves.
Good job.
Okay, squish your sand.
Squish it up, squish it up.
I have something else for you.
We're going to do one more.
Here it comes.
How about, okay.
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do.
Da, da, da, da, da.
Are you ready?
Lowercase I.
I told you, lowercase I.
Okay, can you create it?
Go, go, go.
Create letter I.
Lowercase I.
You did it.
Let's see.
Go ahead, keep going.
Roll, roll, roll.
Wow.
Oh, I see it.
You did it.
Oh, guess what everyone?
It's almost time for us to clean up.
Did you have fun using the sand?
Do you like this sand?
What do you think?
Yes?
Will you play with it again?
Yes or no?
What do you think?
The next class.
Good idea.
When you meet me again?
All right.
We can play again when we meet together.
And let's everyone wave.
We're going to wave goodbye.
Ready?
Wave.
Big wave, AC.
Big wave, Amelia.
Big wave, Isabella.
Goodbye.
Everyone, it's time to say goodbye.
Thank you for playing with us.
Bye.
