Green flag, green flag.
That's a serious contact for Brock Feeney.
You can see the disappointment in the Red Bull Airpole Garage.
This one absolutely will go safety car.
They did not get 10 metres off the line, Chad.
Ryan Wood was slow to get going.
Look at that shot, there's half the field missing.
That was monstrous.
Race control, attention all teams.
Incidents turn one and two.
Incidents turn one and two, multiple cars.
You can see it's pulled the whole rear upright assembly out of Brock Feeney's car.
Zach Bates is down there.
He has been involved in lap one incidents just about in every race this weekend, the poor guy.
Down the back due to a starter motor issue in Boost Mobile qualifying.
So what did we say at the beginning of this one?
Oh my God, oh my God.
Oh, am I OK?
Yeah mate, you OK?
Yeah, I'm OK.
That sounded like it rattled him.
It was a big one, Chad, because when you're at the front of the field, mid-pack of the field,
you know that there's 20-odd cars coming at you.
So go right back to the start and you'll see it.
Ryan Wood a little bit slow to get away.
Kai Allen goes to the inside and then they get squeezed and there's contact there.
Both Allen and Wood have got damage now, so they're compromised for the run down to turn one.
And then you see Feeney, he's on the outside.
Wood's got dramas.
I think it's Allen that then makes contact with Feeney.
Well, he actually gets hit from further back.
And then this is the rest of the field.
Cooper Murray, who was coming off the back row, completely unsighted.
So the front row get away cleanly.
They actually leave the second row behind.
And it's this contact here.
Both these cars are now damaged.
You can see Ryan Wood, the tyre is down on his.
Kai Allen's car, the tyre is down on his right front as well.
So they're compromised heading to turn one.
They were never going to make the corner down there.
Nothing they could do about it.
Watch for Cooper Murray's car.
It comes flying into this shot.
Well, you think it's the lanes open right now.
And then Feeney's got his foot up it.
And then bang.
And for Cooper, that's three and three for him as well.
Serious damage to the rear of Brock Feeney's car.
Rylan Gray with a little bit of bodywork pushed in.
It wasn't the highest speed incident.
Car number 800 for Brad Jones in his 800th race.
Caught up in this one as well.
Have a look at the bite that has been taken out of that right rear.
Goes to show you that even in minimal speeds compared to what we're normally talking about,
not like we're doing 300 down Conrad,
but you can still have a big, big incident.
Yeah, absolutely.
So just the energy.
As more as the energy has been created,
because Brock was hard in the throttle trying to spin the car around.
So that's whipped the car into the road of Cooper Murray.
We thought the lane was open on the outside,
and it closed very, very quickly.
There's a lot of cleaning up down there at turn two.
It certainly is.
So not only has this got implications for this race here,
but also it's actually a reasonably short turn around time to have the cars prepped,
ready for Sea Freight to head to New Zealand.
Yeah, there's a good point.
So that was one of the reasons why they heard on the side of Cork
from you last year with the rain.
Yeah.
So the minds not only at Triple Eight Race Engineering
that operate the Red Bull Ampoule Mustangs
will not only be on what's going on here, right here, right now,
but also starting to cast an eye forward to preparation time
to have everything loaded.
So they're going to work at Penrite Racing on Kai Allen's car,
trying to take that seal up, because I feel like this one,
you just need to get your car going and rolling around,
because we're going to go hard up against the time certain thing here.
Team points are important for all of these teams up and down pit lane,
particularly with Brock Feeney's car now not going to be going anywhere,
just going out and collecting some points regardless of your car condition
will be the game for a lot of these teams.
Plenty of fluid down there as well.
We've seen a couple of incidents this weekend,
particularly in the Porsches,
where fluid had been on the racetrack and cars had slipped over on it.
It was from the rear of that car.
Yeah, I think that's probably coming out of the gearbox oil coolers
that are towards the rear of the car,
and when that rear corner got pulled out of Brock Feeney's car,
all the gearbox oil coolers are all tucked in around the rear suspension
behind the fuel tank.
So it's a pretty good launch by the front row.
You can see they're starting to gap and go away.
It's back here with Ryan Wood.
It's actually Kai Allen trying to thread the needle
between James Golding and Ryan Wood.
Contact there, and instantly both those cars have tyres go down.
So you can see both their cars diagonally down in the front.
And then it's further back in the field.
You see Macaulay Jones.
He is now trying to get up the inside of Kai Allen.
There's contact there.
Allen's hit sideways into Feeney, and then that sends Feeney around.
Feeney's gashed it up, trying to get the car pointed forward now
and get out of there.
That didn't work.
Here comes Cooper Murray thinking the lane's open.
You cannot change direction that quickly.
And straight into Brock Feeney, Cooper Murray goes.
And then watch Declan Fraser here just get through,
smallest of contact with Andre Heimgartner.
A famous number.
And this team who has won so many races at this venue
trying to, like we said earlier, break that drought
as he brings the speed back up and the noise back up.
And the supercars roar to life again.
Opportunity this for Randall.
Look how close he is.
How aggressive is he going to be today?
Won't get many green flag laps.
Won't get many opportunities.
Might not get a better opportunity to win a race than right here today.
About 13 minutes left in this one.
Less than that.
Yeah, 13 minutes.
Check the time clock.
So about seven laps if we stay green all the way home.
Feels like a big if.
So Randall, great restart.
We saw James Golding having to fend down into Turn 1,
and that's opened up the gap between the back of Jack LeBrock's Camaro
and the front of James Golding's Ford Mustang
as the mid pack resume hostilities to the run through Turn 5.
And the spot yesterday, which has lost it.
What a shot that is.
Got into the rear of Car Triple Eight.
Picked up a five-second penalty for that one.
Under the palm trees, they go through 9 and 10.
How close is Randall this time?
How close is Kostecki this time?
He got a great run off Turn 10.
Cameron opens the door.
You don't open the door for Brodie Kostecki
because he'll walk right through it.
It's Kostecki to third.
Randall's seen this trick before.
He defends.
That's gold for Will Brown.
As soon as he starts to see that in his revision mirror,
get your head down.
Escape up the road.
Let them battle over the scraps.
Already what was barely a car length is stretching out.
And again, defense.
Here we go.
Kostecki goes anyway.
Oh, good move.
Nice.
Good move.
Feinted to the outside and then straight to the inside.
Super decisive.
Didn't overrun the apex.
He knew that Randall was going to defend for his life for second place.
Look at the gap that that's given Will Brown.
Kostecki now off.
He doesn't care he's got the championship lead.
He doesn't care he's got the Larry Perkins trophy in his hands.
He wants another race win.
He's going to fight for it here today.
He's got so much car speed in that 17 here this weekend.
But he's got 1.3 seconds to make up to Will Brown.
Eight minutes plus one lap right now.
Here comes Payne up the inside.
So, Randall, two spots in half a lap.
Aaron Cameron, a little bit of interest.
Oh, I thought Cameron was going to try and sneak up the inside.
We have not seen that end well at turn four and five so far this weekend.
We're back in single file.
Thomas Randall slipping back through this pack here a little bit.
Oh, Payne with a big lock up at six.
Gets it stopped just.
But they are going to be absolutely on him.
Oh, he's going to set the tire.
Oh, no.
Beating the team's championship.
And they're watching it slip out of their hands right now for Matt Payne.
He was on for a trophy and maybe more here today.
Oh, the one that got away for Penrite Racing.
And he will surely be coming to pit lane.
It hands Thomas Randall back into the top three.
And now Cameron vulnerable through turns nine and ten.
You can see Matt Payne has gone down.
He needs to slow this car up.
More damage to that car.
Here we go, LeBrock down the inside of Aaron Cameron.
Does he get it done?
Yes, he does.
And now teammates battling as James Golding follows him through.
Tim Blanchard will be watching through wincing eyes at the moment
as Cameron loses three in a flash.
Once the doors open, well, once the gates open,
it's hard to close it.
The cattle come through.
Now Aaron Cameron getting boxed.
Oh, he's got Travis.
He's coming to the lane and trying to get there.
He actually had an incident with Lost and there's more on him.
He got served through the last corner.
Car 14, turn 14.
Do these guys not remember lap one, turn one?
It was a distant memory for them.
Aaron Cameron, four races in a row that have slipped through his fingertips.
And you cannot help but feel sorry for the kid.
Oh, fast as Alan just drives it down the middle,
keeps everyone in his mirrors for now,
and will set sail for the car up the road, which is going to be Jones.
And it's a couple of rookies.
It's the solo energy car.
Gets absolutely served at turn four and put out to the car park.
Jackson Walls is right in the middle of that one.
Heard it coming.
We found the pictures.
So that's what he's trying to do.
He's trying to be as close to the rear bumper right now and get off turn 10.
It's coming.
Turn 11.
Not bad.
He's not bad.
He's there.
Wilbrand's going to have to defend because Kostecki's been coming
from a long way back.
And there's a defend.
Oh, a late, late defend.
Wilbrand's got the rears locked.
He's locked it up, but he's got him.
He's got it done.
Wilbrand couldn't stop it.
And Kostecki just takes that race lead away from him.
Oh, Kostecki had him spooked beautifully there.
It was just the threat of the pass that got Wilbrand.
So Kostecki just fainted.
Wilbrand tried to cover it.
And as he moved the car in the braking zone, it unsettled it.
And we've seen that all weekend.
Very nice.
Last lap, mate.
Last lap.
Seen that all weekend from the Red Bull and Polo Mustangs.
They've been nervous in the rear under brakes.
And a call Wilbrand out.
Watch this one.
So Kostecki doesn't do anything.
Wilbrand covers.
Covers a little bit more.
And then it sets the rear off.
Almost lays a couple of licorice chips down.
He's got the handbrake on.
Heading down to turn 11.
And Brodie Kostecki ends up being a whole lot easier than he expected.
This is the Brodie effect.
You can hear it.
And then late.
It was chattering in the rear.
Treated to three thrillers in a row.
And he is going to win this prestigious Larry Perkins trophy in absolute style today.
He was the boogeyman.
Snuck up behind him and took that race win away.
Awesome stuff, mate.
That's how you do it.
Championship leader.
Scared him out of a race win.
Whatever the Larry Perkins, well done.
And he is your new Repco Supercars Championship leader.
The fourth to have already done it this season.
Randall home for a first podium in a long time.
Breaks his drought there.
Will Brown will feel maybe like one slipped away.
And for this team, they have been on fire.
See what it means to this man inside the cockpit of that Shell V-Power.
Dick Johnson racing Mustang.
That's his first podium since Simmons Plains 2025.
But podium number 11 for him as he joins Will Brown and Brodie Kostecki up on the steps today.
And for Brodie, doing a wonderful job picking up race win number 14 in his career.
And in doing so, he takes the Larry Perkins trophy with it as well.
And he gets there with the championship lead ahead of Will Brown and Thomas Randall.
Jack LeBrock.
Another great performance from him passing some cars today to get inside the top four.
Declan Fraser up to 11th was a pretty handsome effort from him.
Macaulay Jones for Brad Jones' 800th gets inside the top 10.
Certainly some storylines there.
And how about that one for Brock Feeney?
Not making it home and collecting some points today.
That was a supercars thriller to finish off the weekend.
Come champion in the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.
The best drivers in the country go head to head.
This year, for the first time ever, it's about making the finals.
It's very much like the playoff style that we see in NASCAR.
You just can't afford to make a mistake.
You're going to have to win races at the back end of the year.
Come Adelaide, there's going to be four drivers fighting for a championship.
Grand final weekend.
How is this going to play out?
It takes no prisoners.
So it's going to be absolute war out there this weekend.
There'll be tears.
Go Will.
Go Daddy.
Hey mate, good luck.
Go get it.
This is your conditions.
You're talking about drama.
You could not have scripted any better than this.
We couldn't have hoped for four better finalists.
May the best driver win.
New supercar era begins.
I've always been the underdog.
A lot of people doubt me and count me out already.
I'm turned up.
I literally pulled the gear and I feel like the engine dies.
Oh my god.
I'm coming.
Some people should be worried.
That's an aggressive pass.
I hope you absolutely cream peanut.
We can beat him pretty easily.
That's what I'm doing.
Tom Brady has won seven Super Bowls.
With Michael Jordan you don't speak about them
because of their consistency over a season.
You speak about them because they can perform
when it comes time to perform.
Deep down inside it kind of hurts a little bit
when people say you haven't won one yet.
There's no doubt going to be carnage.
It will be controversial.
You learn more from your losses than your wins.
It's going to create some very cruel heartbreak.
Me and Brock are really good mates.
We'll try and figure it out.
Yeah, I don't know.
I'm sure he's happy but...
There's no greater feat in this sport
that we've wanted to achieve.
I love you, mate.
We're going to get there one day.
