Presenting, Elise the second grader! Yay! Who wants to do some schoolwork? Me! Today is the very first day of school for us. We homeschool, and today's the day we are officially starting the kids on their new grades. All right, who's ready for the first day of school? Me! Yay! This is my plate. I always eat small portions. Small portions? More of a big portion. Got candy milk. When I drunk the strawberry milk, I was just like... Say kindergarten! Kindergarten! Watch out, Laura. That was freaky. Nobody's excited for kindergarten. Oh my goodness, you're doing it! Your preschool pose, what do you wanna do for preschool? Presenting, Miss Laura, our preschooler! Here's your school supplies. It's a Moana coloring book. It's called Play Foam. We're gonna play with it. What's this? It's a princess coloring book. What's this? That's a matching game. Presenting, Kayla the kindergartener! This is gonna help you with handwriting. And look. I wanted to go show Isaac this thing. These are your piano books. Yep! Our little guy's gonna be starting piano this year. So these are plays that you and your brothers and sisters are gonna get to act out together. You have to pick a part and then be that person in the play. And you have to read the play. Wonders of America. Yep. It's gonna teach you how to do some drawing. And this is your reading book. What do you think? Can I just play with them right away? We can do school today for sure. Presenting, Elise the second grader! What is this? It's an eraser. I like this. So here's all your reading books for this year. That's a lot! It's a bracelet that's also a? Ruler! Yeah, isn't that cool? I get big girl scissors? Yeah, are they pretty? Uh-huh. I never got ones that are pointy and big. Did I get scissors? No, you did not get scissors. You cut your own hair. Hey. Yeah, you're banned from scissors. So Elise, this is a paint by number, but it's a big girl one. So yours is gonna look like this after you paint it. Yeah, it's gonna be challenging, but I think you can do it. We've got two different kinds of maths that I wanted to show you. This one's called menu math. And what it is, is it has a menu of different foods and then you use that to do math problems with. So you can see like how much would it cost to get a root beer and a pizza. Oh, isn't that cool? And then this one you told me you wanted some colorful math. So these ones are like math games that you'll get to build and then play. Wow. I never had like this awesome of crayons in my life. They sparkle. No, why does she get sparkles? How do we get sparkles? Well, you can share them. Okay. I have my own. Show her the ones you got. Sparkles. This is a coloring book that we got with gel pens because you are going to be listening to a bunch of audio books this year. And so I wanted you to have some activities to do while you listen. This is the first part of the coloring book. It's hard. Okay, this is going to be some practice for Carson. Presenting, Isaac, Bethany. And blank cards. You're going to make your own game this year. Your own history timeline. So I can make my own history timeline? Yes. Yeah. Woo. A kid's president guide to being awesome. Not that you need a guide, you're already pretty awesome. Yeah. Then you got spelling and grammar. Woo. But look, it says grammar minutes. So it's not going to be too long. And I reveal to you. Basketball math. So it shows like how big it is and the stats. So this is a book about the math that's in basketball. But Isaac, look, this is an actual math book. You're going to be doing math this year about basketball. Wait, so that's like my math book? This is a math book. It's a math curriculum. And Isaac. Yes. And Isaac. Wow. Yeah. Oh my, we got way better scented pencils. Wait, that's for everyone? These are our new scented pencils. Yep, this is for everybody. Smell. These are our family read aloud books for the year. I'm so excited about them. So this year we're going to learn some sewing projects. We actually have a little sewing machine the kids are going to get to use and make some cool stuff. It's a magnetic puzzle. And look guys, this one has new colors. So now you'll have different colors instead of all just the same 12 colors all the time. That's awesome. Thank you. We're going to have an awesome school year guys. It's going to be fun.
