What do you think Shakespeare would make of the Oscars?
Do you ever eat the things?
Look, I'm about to eat this. Just eat.
You won't even give me a chance. I'm about to eat the nugget right now.
Wow.
Delicious.
I had my own luncheon upstairs in my hotel room.
What did you have?
I had a tomato soup.
Oh, that sounds sad.
Thanks.
Yeah, it was sad.
I was like, guys, am I not invited to the actual luncheon?
They're like, no, sorry.
I'll just get the soup.
One soup, please.
Yeah, no bread.
And could I have some sparkling water?
That is actually what happened.
I didn't have any bread.
There wasn't bread.
Did you want bread or did you think?
Yeah, I would have liked some bread.
It's Oscars.
It's Oscars season, darling.
And no bread with my tomato soup.
So go on, tell me what you did actually have at the luncheon.
There was some...
No fish.
Oh, I thought it would be fish.
No, I think it's dangerous.
Fish.
Dangerous, yeah.
Yeah, I mean, an awards place like this, having fish, crazy.
Like, would you eat fish on an airplane?
Would I eat fish?
I think we all know what I'd be eating.
Oh, on an airplane?
Yeah.
No.
You wouldn't.
No.
I'd have the chicken.
Anyway, the luncheon, there was salad and then there was a little tea.
Okay, I actually don't care anymore.
I've actually decided I don't care.
What I do want to know is, who was the biggest diva on set of Hamnet?
Paul Meskel or the Hawk?
The Hawk.
And Paul.
And Paul, yeah, I can imagine.
You know, Paul's just utterly lovable, so you can't...
It's never a diva, but...
He takes his job very seriously.
He's very serious.
But the Hawk 100% was...
Was also serious.
She kind of pulled a Linda Evangelista.
Who's the one who wouldn't get out of bed for, like, £50,000?
Yeah, her, I think.
The Hawk did that.
That's what the Hawks are getting these days?
£50,000 a day?
I think so.
Wow.
Okay, I'm in the wrong business.
We should become Hawks.
What do you think Shakespeare would make of the Oscars?
Will?
I think he'd turn his nose up at it, but I think he'd be delighted with himself.
Oh, yeah.
What to get nominated?
I think he'd go through the full spectrum of possibilities of the Oscars.
I think he might be very nervous.
He'd have panic attacks.
You know, he'd say he doesn't care, but he does care.
Yeah.
I think he would have the most fabulous suit.
Little breeches.
Absolutely.
His suit would be...
And pointy shoes.
Pointy.
And his earring would be very expensive.
Do you pay attention to your dreams, like Agnes?
I do, yeah.
If I have a big dream where I want to remember, I put it in a voice note.
Oh, do you?
Which is kind of so strange, because sometimes you're still half asleep and you're like...
Yeah, I don't think I'd be able to actually talk once I wake up.
I don't want to be spoken to when I wake up for at least six hours.
Do you sleep talk?
No, not that I know of.
No.
No, we could have a sleepover and you could tell me.
Do you have dreams?
Oh my God, yes.
Are you living one now?
Yeah, I am.
And I'm living mine now, aren't we all?
Aren't we all, guys?
This is my dream!
This is my dream.
Chips!
Chips is my dream.
I have nightmares every night.
Yes, however, I just listened to a podcast on dreams,
and this dream scientist said that actually if you have very intense dreams slash nightmares every night,
actually it's your brain trying to go through the motions of what your fear is before you do it.
It's preparing you to face your fears.
So actually, in a way, it made me think of it more positively, that I'm preparing.
Are they recurring dreams?
Yes.
Can you tell me your dream?
Yes, I have a recurring nightmare that I'm stuck in a room with Jessie Buckley.
I've heard that before.
And the room just gets getting smaller and smaller, and she just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and then she eats me.
Wow.
No, that's more of a fantasy than a dream, than a nightmare.
Have I been in your dreams?
Yes.
All the time?
I have, yeah, many times.
Many times.
I heard that there was an alternative ending to Hamnet, where everyone is at the Globe Theatre dancing around to Rihanna.
Yeah.
We found love.
Yeah.
But then it got cut. Is that how it was actually going to end?
Yeah, we didn't know what the ending was going to be, and we thought, but let's bring this into the 21st century.
Absolutely.
And who better to do that with than with the Queen herself, that is Rihanna.
Rihanna, oh my God, yeah.
She was there.
In spirit.
How do you think you'd fare in the age of Elizabeth?
I think I'd do very well.
What qualities do you think you have that would mean that you...
I mean, I live, my home is like 1500.
Yes, don't you live in the deep countryside?
We're in the nature.
I live in the nature.
Yeah.
I think I'd do well.
I don't like, I'm not great with technology.
I like cooking.
I like kind of pretending I can make potions, but really I'm just like putting some moisturiser on my face.
I used to do that when I was a child.
I used to make potions in the bath with all of the shampoo, but I've grown out of that now.
I think I quite like being just a little bit dirty.
Yeah.
I don't.
Sorry, I was going, yeah, same, but I just actually don't.
Do you think you'd do well in Elizabethan time?
I don't know.
I think I would.
I feel like I could hopefully fare in most fit times.
I don't know.
I feel like you would be like a...
Yeah, what do you think I'd be?
A jester.
A court jester.
No, but I think you'd be like the person in the bar, you know, who's like...
The landlord.
Kind of like Nancy.
Oh, Nancy.
Okay.
Because you get, you know, you're quite like a party, you give me like party vibe.
Thank you.
I actually, so you were in Cabaret.
Yeah.
With Eddie Redmayne.
Yeah.
I went to Cabaret two weeks ago on a date.
Yeah.
First date?
Second date.
Did you notice any people on dates when you were performing?
Yes.
Oh, so it's not an original idea?
No.
No, okay.
It was quite a fun date.
That's a good date.
Because it's like kind of, it's raunchy.
Did you have a table?
Did you have champagne?
No, no, I didn't have champagne, no.
Because it's actually that, if you got a table and champagne, it's kind of a dangerous situation.
I can imagine.
Because if it's not going to go very well, you're probably going to drink more and more champagne.
I can imagine.
And a few times people did get quite drunk and tried to get up.
Oh, and try and be Sally Bowles.
On the stage.
And I was like, no!
Get back!
This is my role!
Not this time.
What are you doing between now and the Oscars?
Do you want to hang out?
Yeah.
Okay, great.
Go on a date.
Yeah, I'll see you.
I'll see you around.
I'll bump into you in Hollywood Hills or something.
Are you like around?
Are you here?
Yeah, I'm here.
You live here?
No, I don't.
No, you don't.
No, but I'm here until the Oscars.
Okay, you've got to go now.
Okay, sorry.
That's the best one we've done.
