Welcome to Self-Reliance Hypnotherapy.
As you settle in, notice your breath.
Not changing it.
Not controlling it.
Just observing the rise and fall.
The natural rhythm.
Your body has known your entire life.
With each breath, allow your shoulders to soften.
Let your jaw loosen.
Let your mind rest.
For a moment.
You don't have to analyze anything here.
You don't have to solve anything.
All you're doing is arriving fully into this moment.
This moment is real.
This breath is real.
Your presence here is real.
And your body knows exactly how to find safety.
With each slow inhale, imagine your body becoming heavier.
As if it's settling into a deep, steady foundation.
Like the earth itself is holding you and supporting you.
There is nothing for you to do
except breathe and be here.
Now, if you haven't already, gently close your eyes.
And take three slow, deep breaths.
Taking a moment to bring your awareness to the calm and the peace that's inside of you.
Listening only to me.
And allow your thoughts to be filled with what I say.
Any other sounds which you may hear will only have a calming, soothing effect.
Deepening your relaxation.
I want you to imagine your whole body surrendering to the surface beneath it.
Staying focused on the sound of my voice.
And just breathing naturally now.
In and out.
Using your breath to bring stillness to the body.
Quiet to the mind.
You are always in complete control.
I'm just a guide.
So if I make a suggestion which you believe is not right for you,
you can adjust it in any way which seems appropriate.
Become more aware of your body.
Allowing yourself to relax deeper and deeper.
At this moment in time, nothing matters.
As you switch off your thoughts and just allow this time for yourself.
Releasing any distractions or outer awareness that you don't need right now.
Focusing inward and relaxing even deeper.
You have no place else to be.
Nothing else to do.
So relax and let go completely.
And as you begin to feel more relaxed,
allow every exhale to relax you more and more.
As you continue listening to me, there's absolutely nothing that you need to do.
Just listen, let go, and continue to relax.
Breathing slowly in and slowly out.
Each breath allowing your body to relax.
Your mind to quiet and still.
Letting go to ease and comfort.
Feel all your muscles so relaxed.
Becoming aware of the silent wisdom of your subconscious mind.
Going beyond all thoughts to the peace and the serenity that are always with you.
Bringing your attention now to the top of your head.
Slowly, your attention flows down your forehead and gently over your eyes.
Allowing those tiny face muscles to relax.
As your attention travels down, down your face, down to your jaw.
More aware of the peace and quiet that resides within you.
Finding that you naturally and easily bring your attention to the sensations of your body
in your everyday waking state.
Encouraging an attitude of peace, ease, and loving-kindness toward your body,
toward your mind, and your emotions.
Continuing now, slowly, gently down your neck.
Letting go quieter and quieter still.
Gently traveling over your shoulders.
Slowly down your arms, to your hands, to the very tips of your fingers.
Your body feeling more relaxed as you continue to tune into the silent intelligence
of your body and your mind.
Promoting sensations of well-being.
Breathing deeply in and slowly out.
Your attention now travels across your chest, down to your abdomen.
This relaxation goes to your back now.
As it goes down your spinal column, it seems to branch out to the sides
so that every muscle, every ligament in your back
just seems to relax more and more and more.
With every breath you take, feeling so relaxed now,
your mind and your body resonating with deeper peace of your innate wisdom.
Continuing down to your lower back, your hips, your legs, to your thighs,
to your knees, to your lower legs, all the way down to your ankles,
into your feet, to your toes.
You're becoming so deeply relaxed that you'll find your mind
gently resting upon a place within your heart.
You see, there's a place within you where you have the ability to listen,
listening with compassion and empathy.
A place within you where you have an ever-growing capacity for love,
to share only in ways that will heal you.
That place in you where you have all the wisdom
needed to help you through any challenge or struggle you may be having.
Just relax and sink deeper into this place.
Let go of all your outside cares and concerns for right now.
Allow yourself to open.
Make it safe for you to listen and to hear the things
that will help you along your path to growth,
to make it safe for you to be the person you really are.
No matter what hurts or frustrations you've been carrying around with you,
let them melt away for right now
and continue to relax deeper and deeper.
Now imagine a simple path in nature,
a peaceful path with the soft earth beneath your feet
and sunlight filtering gently through the leaves.
Take a slow breath in and feel your body soften
with every step along this path.
Notice a quiet sense of safety rising in you,
a steadiness, a softening, a gentle return to yourself.
There's nothing to interpret here,
nothing to figure out,
just the feeling of your own presence
settling inside your body again.
With each step, your nervous system settles a little more.
Your breath deepens a little more.
Your mind becomes a little quieter.
The ground is warm and steady.
The air feels calm and supportive.
This path has held many people over the years
and it welcomes you now with the same quiet kindness.
Ahead, you see a tree, strong, grounded, steady.
A tree that has stood here for a very long time.
A tree that understands stillness.
A tree that understands safety.
A tree that stays rooted even when the world moves around it.
Walk toward it at your own pace
and choose a comfortable place to sit beneath it.
Feel the earth support you.
Feel the quiet around you.
Feel the stability beneath you.
Many people have sat here seeking clarity and calm
and now you're here too,
not joining anyone,
not connecting to anything outside yourself,
just settling into a quiet space
inside your own mind that has always belonged to you.
As you sit here beneath the tree,
your body begins to loosen
and your mind begins to soften.
And as it softens,
a small moment of forgiveness becomes possible.
Not forced, not heavy.
Just a gentle opening,
a forgiveness toward yourself
for anything you've been carrying,
any weight,
any pressure,
any story.
Your stressed nervous system once convinced you was true.
Let yourself release that now
and if there are any people in your life,
whose actions have caused hurt,
confusion,
or pressure,
imagine the emotional weight of those experiences
softly lifting away.
Not because they were right,
not because their behavior was justified,
but because you deserve freedom.
Forgiveness is a gift
that returns your energy back to you.
Now imagine only in your mind
a small sphere of light in front of you.
This light is simply a symbol,
nothing mystical,
nothing supernatural,
just a simple way
for your mind to give shape
to stress,
tension,
pressure,
or old patterns.
Your nervous system is ready to let go of.
You don't need to define it.
You don't need to explain it.
Your body already understands
what has felt heavy.
Let this light gather
the tension your body no longer needs,
the pressure you've been carrying,
the thoughts or habits that have worn you down.
When you're ready,
imagine yourself placing your hands around it gently
and lifting it slightly.
Now imagine offering it to nature
the way a person might release a leaf into the wind,
trusting the natural world
to break things down
and return them to neutral.
You are simply letting your body release
what has felt overwhelming,
nothing more,
just a nervous system
allowing itself to rest.
And before you rise from this session,
I want to offer you a reminder
grounded in real human truth.
Your life shifts
when your choices shift.
Not your destiny,
not hidden forces,
not anything outside of you.
Your choices,
the way you speak to yourself,
the expectations you hold,
the standards you rise to,
the thoughts you practice,
the small decisions you make each day.
These are the things that quietly shape your direction
one steady step at a time.
And the moment you become clear about
who you want to be
and how you want to live,
your mind begins organizing around that clarity.
Not through magic,
not through force,
but through alignment.
The kind of alignment
that happens when your actions
begin matching your intentions.
You've already experienced this
any time in your life
when you have gotten clear
about something you want,
your motivation shifts.
Your confidence shifts.
Your decisions shift.
And those shifts change your path.
What you did with your relationships,
what you did with your personal goals,
you can do with every area of your life.
Your work,
your stability,
your sense of purpose,
you see,
clarity gives the mind direction.
Direction creates focus.
Focus creates momentum.
And momentum,
even small momentum,
creates change.
Now, I want to offer you something important.
If something feels impossible,
it isn't because you can't have it.
It's because the old version of you
didn't know how to move toward it yet.
That's not a flaw.
That's not a limitation.
That's simply outdated beliefs
that doesn't belong in the next chapter of your life.
So let yourself explore what you truly want,
not the version filtered through fear
or through past experiences
or through other people's expectations.
Let yourself ask,
what feels meaningful to me?
What feels honest?
What feels like it would support my well-being?
What feels like the direction
I actually want to grow?
None of this requires you to predict the future.
None of this asks you to force anything.
It simply asks you to choose
with honesty,
with presence,
and with self-respect.
Because you're not here to repeat old patterns.
You're here to learn from them
and step toward a life
that feels steadier,
healthier,
and more aligned with your best self.
And every time you choose a thought
that supports you,
a habit that strengthens you,
a path that honors you,
you're building that future
one grounded choice at a time.
You're not behind.
You're not broken.
You're not defined by what has happened.
You're someone in the process of becoming.
And that process is allowed to feel steady,
purposeful,
and peaceful.
Take a quiet moment
to acknowledge yourself
for choosing to be here,
for giving your mind and body
the space to loosen what has felt heavy
and to release what has been difficult to carry.
Offer yourself a sense of gratitude
for showing up,
for allowing even a small part of you
to rest,
to soften,
to reset,
you didn't force anything.
You didn't rush anything.
You simply gave yourself a moment,
a moment to breathe,
a moment to let the past settle,
a moment to step out of old tension
and into a clearer sense of who you're becoming.
And as you continue forward,
remember that your power comes from presence,
from noticing this breath,
this step,
this moment.
Because when you're here,
fully here,
your choices become clearer,
your direction becomes steadier,
and your future becomes something you create.
One grounded moment at a time,
you're beginning something meaningful
and you're allowed to take it slowly,
gently,
and with patience for yourself.
As you grow into the person you're choosing to be,
come back to the feeling of sitting beneath the tree.
Feel the stability of its roots.
Feel the strength of its trunk.
Feel the quiet support around you.
This is what safety feels like.
This is what presence feels like.
This is what it feels like.
When your body begins to trust itself again,
you are allowed to be here.
You're allowed to feel grounded.
You're allowed to choose what stays and what leaves.
Take a slow breath in.
Feel your body returning to itself.
Another breath.
Feel your mind becoming clear.
A final breath,
and return fully to this moment,
right here,
right now.
Where you have awareness,
choice,
and control.
Whenever you're ready,
you can gently open your eyes.
