Welcome to J House - an imperfect family working together towards a happy home filled with love and meaningful connections. We focus on learning, serving, and playing together as a family. We (Jeremy and Kendra) have 5 little kids: Isaac, Elise, Caleb, Laura, and Janae.
Our original vlog channel: J House Vlogs https://youtube.com/jhousevlogs documents our family life. J House jr. takes highlights of our favorite memories and makes them more entertaining for kids! Expect to see a lot of kids playing, laughing, and learning together!
One of my heroes is Shawn Johnson East.
She's an Olympic gold medalist.
She's won world championships.
She's won Dancing with the Stars.
And she's just an incredible person.
She was so kind when I had the chance to talk to her.
How has being a gymnast
it is going to help you being a mom?
Well, you came up with that question by myself.
Um, can you teach my daughter to be as smart as you?
Shawn is a hero at learning from failure.
There's something really unique about gymnastics
in the sense that you have to fall.
You have to fall a thousand times
before you ever succeed.
Good, and rest. Oh my God!
Bring it in and then you come down.
Shawn likes to have fun.
The most important thing you can ever do is have fun.
I feel like we live in a world right now
that pushes success on kids
way earlier and way sooner.
And they prioritize it over any type of passion.
And I think that's backwards.
I think in order to achieve success,
in order to become good at something,
you have to love it.
Dad, can you teach us gymnastics?
I'm going to teach you a couple moves, okay?
No, do it all.
Okay, I'm going to teach you everything I know.
Okay.
You look like a bug that got stuck upside down.
Okay, so it's going to require your core muscles.
Watch, you want to keep your knees together.
Hold on tight, hold up, and roll forward.
Alright, roll.
Shawn inspires me to reach my goals,
making one goal every single day.
Whether it's to do a cartwheel five times
or to do a somersault five times.
But every single day, we just made these little goals.
And every time that I would achieve it,
it would be like, okay, I'm one step closer.
And you end up finding yourself on an Olympic stage.
That's incredible.
So imagine that you just won a gold medal.
What would your face be like?
So happy.
And the newest winner of a gold medal is Elise.
You won a gold medal, didn't you?
And the winner of the gold medal is Isaac.
Yay!
Ready?
And go up for your check.
And water it down.
