The House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hereby recognizes and honors Council General Rudy William Grant. Lady from Scott. Thank you, Mr Speaker. We have a very special guest with us today from the island nation of Barbados. It is an honor to recognize Consul General Rudy William Grant, whose visit is in collaboration with my alma mater, the University of Kentucky's Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, Honorary Consul Dr Bernard Stronecki, a dear friend, Kentuckian mentor and former professor and other partners. Consul General Grant represents his nation across the southeastern United States, where he works to strengthen ties between Barbados and communities throughout the region. His visit offers a vital opportunity to deepen international understanding and strengthen personal connections between Barbados and Kentucky through education, diplomacy and public engagement. Consul General Grant is a diplomat of the highest caliber and continues to work tirelessly to strengthen and advance economic ties between Barbados and our commonwealth. Please join me in offering, offering him sincere gratitude for visiting our beloved commonwealth and extending to him warmest wishes that his time in the bluegrass state will prove both fruitful and full of hospitality.
